Great prompt service but delivered to wrong people at wrong house, through sent photo to right people at right house! Got there eventually, so well done!

This would usually happen when our courier tries to deliver to your recipient address and no one is in. They would leave your parcel with a neighbour and send you the photo proving what house the parcel was left at along with the address details. Apologies for any inconvenience caused on this occasion. Customer service was attentive / helpful but one of the products ordered on the website was not available, ended up with 2 bottles of rose instead of a bottle of white and a bottle of rose so quite an odd gift combo.

The delivery was good but I had typed out a card on the site to accompany the wine and this was not in with the wine so my friend didn’t have an inkling who it was from until I was asked.

Thank you for your order and review, so sorry to hear about this. We have had a look for you and can confirm your gift message was included on the packing slip. We use a double layered box to send out bottles and in the past we have found some packing slips find themselves wedged in between the two layers during transit, this can then cause the slip to be missed when opening the box. Apologies again for any inconvenience caused on this order, we are looking into alternative packaging that should prevent this from happening in future. Kind Regards The team at Oddbins

I ordered some wine to be delivered to my sister in Low Fell. She wrote and told me the wine was left at the front door, she was at home at the time, and it was only when she went out she found the wine. She was lucky nobody took it. I find this unsatisfactory. The delivery person only had to ring the bell or knock on the door. I hope you pass on these concerns to your delivery people. Regards Jean Jones Australia

Great online support, but struggling to understand why a delivery from the local Highgate Oddbins wasn’t arranged… bizarre given the delivery came from Birmingham… totally inefficient. Secondly, the parcel was left outside the front gate! Just lucky that no-one stole it.

My shopping experience with Oddbins was great. I chose my product, order and paid for my goods and received notice of shipment. However, that's where things deteriorated. My goods have not arrived, I got an email telling me the delivery driver had left a card, he hadn't. I now have no idea where my order is, or if / when I will get it 😕

The port was for a present but I did not appreciate that the Tawny was only small bottles. I just hope that the price indicates that it is a superb one!

We do try our best to make all sizes as clear as possible, in this case making sure to also include the size in the product name: Niepoort 10 Years Old Tawny Port 375ml. We are so sorry to see that this was missed but on the plus side, it is indeed an excellent bottle of Tawny Port and we are sure your recipient will be most pleased with what flows from the bottle!

No issue with Oddbins, but when paying £5 for postage, I'd expect the doorbell to be rung when waiting in all day and for parcelforce to supply the correct street number they left it at, not an address that doesn't exist.
