“I would reccomend anyone to have this operation, it has changed my life to the extent of not having to change glasses costantly at work and at home, the only time I may have to wear glasses is to do very close work. I would not go back to the way things were, even though I still get the glare at night.”

“I hadn't met anyone who had had RLE so it was a bit daunting going in to Edinburgh for the treatments. The staff there were very attentive; when waiting for the treatment I spoke to a fellow patient-he put me at ease. All very quick and painfree. I am told healing time/vision adjustment varies from one person to another. My vision is nearly as it was with specs but I have problems with intermediate distances. I am told I need time to adjust but it should come good. So far I have no regrets.”

“This is the best decision I have made, I still cannot believe I can see normally wiithout the aid of glasses of any type. The operation was quick and painless, Dr David Teenan was very professional and took the time to speak to me prior to each eye operation and put me at ease. Everyone at the clinic was so friendly, patient and supportive especially as I was extremely nervous. The aftercare is excellent, at all the Optical Express shops. I would have no hesitation to recommend this operation to anyone who wears glasses. I would like to say a big thank you to David Teenan, Derrick in Edinburgh, Jennifer from Kirkcaldy and all the staff involved in my care”

“I would really recommend Optical Express to anybody that is hoping to get laser eye surgery done. I was made comfortable from the moment I thought about getting it done. The staff, in store and over the phone, were very helpful. Even when I panicked over silly things they would reassure me and would book in an appointment to ensure that everything was OK and there was nothing to worry about. I felt I was in very safe hands and today I can say that I am truly glad that I have had the laser eye surgery done and moreover I am glad that I chose Optical Express to get it done through.”

“Having gone through a lot of thinking, consultations and checks...pushed myself to lay on the table and have my eyes lasered...15mins of discomfort....4hrs of restful sleeping to 20/20 vision 24hrs later...its a no brained...very happy and looking forward to you future and many advetures!! “I have always wanted to have laser eye surgery as I have been burdened with glasses and contacts from a young age. After securing a job following graduation from university, I was finally in a financial position to go for laser eye surgery. It has made my life so much easier and will save tonnes of money and time on contacts, glasses, eye tests, etc. in the future. One of the best decisions I have ever made!”

“From enquiry to surgery to aftercare I was surpirised at the speed of it all. I never thought that I was eligible for laser surgery so never looked into it but now that I have had it done I would encourage anybody to give it some thought.”

“Can take walks over rough terrain without worry; can run without worry of loosing glasses; can do housework better as they don't fall off; can work with children better as they don't pull off glassess; can cuddle children without face beeing bashed! Best way of spending my income-ever!”

“Having relied on glasses or contact lenses for over 30 years it is wonderful to no longer need them all the time. Getting used to readers is an age related necessity. I was very impressed with the care from my surgeon and other staff.”

“I had laser treatment to both eyes in December 2012 and wished I had done it years ago. Great for walking the dog in the rain; no steaming up of glasses. I was particularly surprised at how quick I recovered from the procedure. Immediately after I went home and slept for a couple of hours and experienced no pain whatsoever. It was brilliant to be able to wake up and see clearly without years of reaching for my glasses!”

“Entire process has been a breeze, the staff make it stress free and the clinic enviroment is what you would expect at a private treatment centre. My eyes have been alittle dry however if vision keeps improving and dryness is resolved I will be delighted with the results. I feel the team are managing this issue and have taken the appropriate steps to resolve this issue.”

“I've just had my 3 month check. I just wanted to say that I have already recommended the surgery to my sister who did it a month after me. I could not be happier - it really is miraculous. I know it's expensive to most people, as it was for me, but the monthly payments are fairly affordable and it's TOTALLY worth it.”
