“I had lens replacement 1 month ago , the procedure was straight forward and even though I was worried, the staff made me feel at ease. Front of house Justine Buckette at the Southampton Avenue site was so understanding and friendly could not of asked for a nicer person to deal with. As for the treatment it was straight forward and took under 10 mins per eye . Looking forward to the future as everyday Is getting better and better .”

“I have just had a lens replacement procedure. I would recommend using Optical Express. If results are your main concern then I can tell you after 24hrs my eye site is much much better. I had my post op test this morning and went for lunch. I did not need glasses to read menu!! Of course there are always things which could have been done better. The practice in Southampton is a bit dated. A lot of the lights looked like they were installed twenty years ago. But its results that matter. I paid £6700.00 for my procedure. Personally I think its money well spent. My eye site is as it was twenty years ago. If that is what is important to you the go see Optical express.”

“Awful customer service, rude staff and unorganised. I paid for iDesign Lasek surgery and everything in the run up to the surgery was stressful. At the initial consultation, the man testing my eyes was rude and condescending about my finances, implying that I was unable to pay for the surgery without my parents money. One positive was that I was not pushed into making a decision and I shopped around after this consultation before deciding that their technology was best on the market. After deciding to go ahead, they didn't give me drops which were required before surgery because of my dry eyes and couldn't help me collect some (ringing Reading or Oxford branch or general customer services). The branch themselves do not know what time individual surgeries are taking place and have no record of this - only the surgeon knows so make sure you take a note as you cannot double check once he has told you in your very short phone consultation before surgery. The consultation with my surgeon where I was told to ask questions lasted just 7 minutes. I felt rushed and as though every question I asked was an inconvenience despite paying thousands of pounds for this. On the surgery day I arrived when they opened as they couldn't tell me when my surgery was and I didn't want to miss it. As a result, staff were rude again. The surgery staff were very polite and helped me feel as ease. The surgery procedure was OK- slight discomfort but as expected. Recovery was gradual and slightly blurry even after 10-14 days. 1 month later and my vision is better than 20/20. Overall I would recommend optical express because the surgery works but prepare for disorganisation and rude/blunt staff.”

“I have regular contact lenses appointments and eye tests at the OE clinic in Hull and staff is always very professional, friendly and helpful. Only downside is that the clinic is not open on Saturdays, but can live with it.”

“Corrective eye surgery was first suggested to me by my optician during a routine check up. He recommended Optical Express and I made an appointment soon after. The treatment was scheduled on my first visit to the Newcastle clinic and I have received a very good standard of care ever since. I'm very pleased with the results in terms of my vision. The only issues are that it is quite a long journey for me each time I come for a check up (Hexham to Newcastle) and on a couple of occasions I've waited for quite a while to be greeted at reception. Generally though I am very pleased.”

“Overall my experience has been great. Vision is much better than I could have ever have hoped for. It is great not waking up and having to worry about contacts etc. Would do it again if I ever had to. Surgery was quick and the benefits are great!”

“after years of wearing glasses i got annoyed with them and switched to contact lenses and also got tired of these.i decided to save up for laser eye surgery and think it was worth it afterwards”

“The procedure itself was a bit scary and I was really nervous. I experienced incredible discomfort for about 4 hours afterwards, but then it went away. For the first two weeks I had blurry vision in my right eye and my eyes felt gritty. But after two and a half weeks everything was clear and my eyes felt much better.”
