About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I am losing count how many times I have had to wait on the line, be told ill be called back or that my items will be shipped. Still Waiting. The staff on the phone are nice but I'm still waiting here empty handed more than a month after the order was packed.”

“I feel bad writing a poor review but the service experience was terrible. My items weren't shipped within the stated time and I had to try two different ways to contact OE to try and get a response let alone action. Thus my items arrived late and I think they would have been later if I hadn't kept chasing them up. The products purchased were great but I can't trust to purchase from this store again.”

“Service at counter is terrible. Too long a wait, staff chatting with customers. Was there to pick up a click and collect. Was there for about 20mins before I could pick up ONE cup.”

“Unfortunately both bladders leaked. I think they should be paying a bit more attention to quality control. Didn't have time to get anything sorted with outback equipment before the trip and ended up using 20ltr containers. It only took a couple of weeks for the refund to come through.”

“the length of delivery time was my only concern. I had ordered and received items from overseas in a quicker time frame. However the fact that I was informed of the delay was a credit to your company in keeping me in the loop. I would definitely use your company again. cheers James”

“Bought a Shurflo pump. It came as ordered but was loosely packaged in a box with no bubble wrap or other protective filler. The box arrived crushed in transit. Paradoxically the box was marked fragile. My tip , especially with a $140 item is to pack it appropriately. NB the pump was not damaged and appears to be working.”
