About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Little bit on the cheap side with the plastic bowing when tightened up the seal - should be made out of harder plastic or aluminium

Disappointing that postage takes so long had to wait nearly 2 weeks for delivery. No updates on the my account site and nobody returns emails or phone calls.

Items ordered were as described and work well. Unexplained delays between ordering and dispatch despite products indicating 'in stock' on the website. As a result, they didn't arrive until after the planned long weekend trip.

when i ordered the Bimini i was told approx 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. I called but a recording said they are not taking phone enquiries. So i emailed.Eventualy recieved the Bimini approx 8 weeks later.

My undertray water tank was faulty. I had difficulty lodging a warranty claim and to date I am still waiting to receive a replacement tank.

I have mixed experiences with outback equipment. I received my 1st package of 2 on time but with missing components for one of the products, then Experienced great customer service after voicing my concerns. Offered a $50 refund, but never actually received it, then got told my other package would arrive in the next week. Keep in mind I already waited 2.5 weeks. This package then proceeded to take another 2.5 weeks to arrive. Great customer service, lacklustre handling and stocking.

Ordered RV toilet consumables at very competitive prices which arrived in good condition, however, the delivery timeframe was much longer than I expected for items in stock - almost 4 weeks.

This company has a large range and competitive prices, but if you need it quickly this not the place to order from. Alot of products has to be source from outside suppliers. This add weeks and then they use Amarex as a delivery partner which must be cheaper but slow. I ordered from Outback in Brisbane and a company in Perth using Auspost, the product Perth arrived a day earlier and I am only live 3.5hour from Brisbane.

The majority of the equipment order to date has been exceptional and delivered quickly. We have had one item we waited for over 3 months while the cost of the item was deducted on the initial date it was ordered, there was nothing on the web page notifying customers this item was out of stock. The way it was handled we would ask for a refund and purchase elsewhere this process could be improved.

Prices are very competitive but after ordering a product that was showed to be shipped within 5 days, I was contacted after 7 days to inform me the item was still 3.5 weeks away from even getting to the warehouse.

When I ordered the lock there was no mention it wasn’t in stock. I have been advised that it won’t arrive until the end of March which is in acceptable
