About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“Ordered rhino rack bars for fuso canter at Black Friday sales was told over the phone that they were not in stock (which is fine) and that outback equipment would receive them in a week. Rang back wk of Christmas bars still not in stock and would receive an email with updated delivery time. Waited a week still no email, rang back still no estimated time so cancelled order. Never had an issue before with outback equipment. Totally understand that they are not common and no stock which is not your fault. But to be told outback would receive in a week (waited a month) and I would be notified via email and not happen is the disappointing part.”

“Terrible terrible terrible. After contacting them 4 times over the space of 3 or 4 weeks. I still don’t have an answer of when my order will be shipped and completed. There was no message in the website explaining a delay in stock arriving. They said the item was in stock. It’s now been 5 weeks since o placed my order and I still have no idea of when I’ll receive my stuff. Buyers beware!”

You could start by having things 'in stock' or communicate with your customers to let them know items are out of stock. Your communication is HORRIBLE! I paid $19 express shipping for my order to arrive 17 days after I placed my order. Your company is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! The reviews speak for itself”

“Happy with responses to my questions while making decision about purchase. Order was placed mid December. I guess Christmas/NY got in the way but it was teh second half of January, after we returned from some time on the mainland for a family wedding, before we caught up with our purchase. The courier chosen to deliver the order does not deliver to our address, outside of the city of Launceston, and although we had provided an alternate address to that courier, when parcel hadn't arrived prior to our Jan 7 departure, it was eventually sourced at the couriers depot after we returned on Jan 21. That trip was a partial camping trip and we would have had the opportunity to trial our new poles, but as we didn't haven't htem we haven't done that yet.”
