About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Whether you're planning a weekend beach trip or the big lap around Oz, getting prepped can feel like a mission. We're here to make it simple. From expert guides and part finders to trusted advice and helpful customer service, we’re your starting point for any off-grid adventure.

We only stock gear we’d use ourselves. From brands like Aussie Traveller, MSA, CampBoss, BLA, Hardkorr, Superior Engineering, Tuff Terrain and Outback Explorer. With over 250 brands on our shelves and growing, we’re proud to support fellow adventurers at every stage of their journey.

“I will Avoid Outback Equipment in future. I received remarkably slow delivery, no communication of why there was unforeseen delays. It seems they sold me equipment they didn’t have in stock to sell? Poor communication when I queried the delay and a really disappointing experience trying to contact them for an explanation. Phone system was basically useless and a very unproductive computerised menu system ensured I was disappointed before I even managed to not get through to a person. When I finally got a call back days later, the staff were quite removed from engagement and it seems to me that low pay for the workers has attracted low quality effort from an over worked crew. Please don’t contact me again.”

“good products delivery took ages order wasn’t even picked and sent until over a week after i ordered”

“An air compressor and tyre pressure gauge were purchased as a Christmas present on 14-Dec. Price was good and the two items in stock in Brisbane. Delivery to Brisbane was advised 1-3 days with potential delays due to Christmas. An email was received 3 days after order placement, to confirm the items on their way. Enquiries were sent to both Outback Equipment and Aramex prior to Christmas to determine the whereabouts and expected timing of the delivery. Outback Equipment defaulted to the courier and Aramex didn’t respond. It took nearly 2 weeks (30-Dec) for Aramex to register the delivery in their tracking system and the items arrived more than two weeks after Christmas on 7-Jan. The items that were purchased as a gift, arrived in the original air compressor box which was tattered and worn and ultimately could not be given as a gift. Instead of packing the items in a manner to protect them, the air compressor box was opened and the tyre gauge placed inside. This resulted in me purchasing the same gift elsewhere to present on Christmas day and the two items returned to Outback Equipment for credit. The very poor delivery service was not credited. Overall, this was a disappointing experience that is not typical of past purchases from Outback Equipment.”

“I am very happy with the quality of the product purchased, however the courier company (Couriers Please) did not deliver the products, nor respond to any followup emails. Courier Company lost the products, however, Outback Equipment were kind enough to re-issue the products which I then collected from the store.”

“I brought from Outback Equipment because it said about getting my trax before Christmas and I didn't. So bit disappointed really. I needed them before leaving the state and didn't get them.”

“I couldn't get the shower to be able to regulate the heat , it stay always on the hottest side and when I turn if down the temperature did not move .”

“Terrible experience, I ordered a pair of water tanks on 8th December, leaving plenty of time for delivery and install into caravan before Christmas, allowing plenty of time for Christmas crazy period regarding postage/shipping, etc. I thought they were in transit, when I got email on 16th of December to let me know they had just been shipped to me. I emailed Outback Euipment office straight away to ask that they make sure they go on that day (the 16th), as obviously they had sold them to me when they were out of stock, never letting me know, and now they're already late. They said ok, they would make sure, but then didn't get on the truck until the next day (17th Dec). After waiting, waiting, waiting, they arrived on January the 9th, after I had to open a case with courier company. Pretty poor experience overall. Good prices, but don't rely on getting anything within reasonable timeframe.”
