About Outback Equipment:

Outback Equipment was born from a couple of mates with a big idea and an even bigger love for the outdoors. What started in the back of a garage quickly moved to a warehouse corner and now, over 10 years later, we’re running our own full-scale warehouse and showroom storefront in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane.

We kicked off with a fascination for light bars, but it didn’t take long to realise there was a lot more gear to get excited about. Outback Equipment has since grown into one of the largest online ranges of 4x4, camping, marine, and caravanning accessories in Australia. Driven by our customers’ passion for exploring the great outdoors, we’ve expanded our space, our range, and our mission.

Well, the people I dealt with were very nice, but the service was a little less than perfect. I ordered 2 gadgets and 2 extension cables. When my order was confirmed, only one extension cable had been Included. I emailed immediately but was told the order had already left, and that I'd have to wear the extra freight charge. I reluctantly conceded and placed the order for the extra extension. About 7 days later I did a track and trace and found my first delivery was en route, nearly with me, but the second had no scans recorded. On checking with you the order hadnt left yet, 7 or 8 days later!! Not happy, but all good now. First order recieved, waiting on second part.

It was all good but when I got mine it was missing the sandwich press. I don’t mind I still love it thanks.

Dispatch sent two wrong size privacy screens all together but on contacting your office they were replaced with correct size

For now im giving a 3 star because only 1 of 2 of my package arrived.. i don't know where the other one went.

Unfortunately the parcel was damaged and has to be replaced and returned I am still awaiting the replacedment

They notified me that my delivery was going to be delayed. Unfortunately they delivered the wrong item to me. I was able to return item with full refund with no problems. Unfortunate circumstances but good professional service for the situation. Above all I would shop there again.

I waited over five weeks for a Engle fridge ,then to be told I couldn’t have it for the advertised price anymore,very disappointed,however, I was compensated for my inconvenience,which I found very satisfying,good on ya Outback Equipment,👍

The prices and equipment are great, but the staff were quite rude, sent me to the warehouse, left out equipment from the order and I had to drive back 1hr to receive it. Wouldn’t come up with any other solution for me despite it being their fault. I spent a few thousand dollars and the more I purchased the more it seemed I was being a hassle to the employees.

We ordered from Brisbane rather than interstate thinking the item would arrive faster but they didn't send it immediately and so time was just as long. The item isn't very good but that'd be for another review.

Ordering was easy, but from then went downhill.Dispatch and tracking number slow, three days Brisbane to Sydney, in Sydney for six days, no updates, then get home on seventh dah and package delivered, tracking said still in Sydney, no updates, day later saying it had been delivered.Not a very good system.dont know who delivered package, at work.

Ordered Black Antiflap kit package thinking everything would be black. Opened up and the 2 rafters were white. I rang them immediately and they said black rafters are extra $50 each so know have mix of black rails and white rafters. Looks silly. Should state in product description colours are different. Guy on phone wouldn't budge saying I had to pay extra to get all black so gave up.

Excellent product but watch out for their discounts. Didn’t apply them and THEN tell you it is limited so if I did 2 seperate orders better discount???????

The staff were helpful but at times not knowledgeable about the products. the first battery charger that I ordered online was on back order for months. I called up. Staff member help choose a replacement. Replacement was not powerful enough for the job. I called up again. Staff happy to exchange however I am still waiting for the new charger to arrive. Could you please follow this up. Thanks. Andrew

I’ve bought a number of items lately gor my new caravan. This purchase I was not happy with at all. I purchased what I believed to New, White Jayco Mud flaps. Mt he were sent quickly and arrived quickly. On opening the packet when they arrived. I noticed straight away. Neither were white and they didn’t even match each other colour wise. They were cream colour, one darker than the other. Clearly aged or used stock. I contacted Jacob who arranged a free return. After they were back with you. I was informed you didn’t have any in stock and were awaiting an order from Jayco. Two weeks later I messaged the store asking for a refund. Which has now been completed. I have purchased the same product from another online store. They have arrived today. The are in brand new condition and white and also with its manufactured packaging, as requested. Whoever picked my order at Outback Equipment should have noticed the difference and not sent them out. Informed there was an issue. This transaction was disappointing but been happy with the others transactions and products I’ve bought. Thank you. Pleased to discuss this further. RobT.
