“Overall the experience was good and I would recommend the vendor. But, there were a few small annoyances. Communication directly from the vendor could be improved. I had to call them twice (maybe 3 times) to check the status of my order. It was impossible to track my shipment online via a tracking number, which is a bit ridiculous these days. The casket arrived several hours late. Again, I received no proactive notification from the vendor and had to call and ask and the shipper still missed the new quoted time but they did meet the date. During a time like that there is enough to deal with without having to worry about the product arriving on time. It created unnecessary stress as a funeral obviously cannot happen without the casket. The casket was slightly damaged (dented) on the bottom panel. It was minor and I did not notice it at first, but it was definitely damaged. This is the disadvantage or ordering online because there is no time to correct something like that. There is no way for me to know if it was damaged during shipping or the funeral home causing the damage, which leads to my next point. I asked the vendor to notify me when the shipper was close so that I could be there to examine the shipment. However, I never received a call. In fact, this survey is the first time that I have received any questions regarding my order or my satisfaction. A better company would have followed up way before now. When I placed the order there was little empathy about the situation. It was simply a "give me the facts and we will ship" attitude. The vendor can use a lot of help regarding customer relations during a very difficult time.”

“Everything arrived on time and in great condition. The actual color between the casket and the picture of it on line was just slightly off. It is advertised as antique white but it looked like it had a bit of a green undertone. It is still great and does not detract from anything. It is just an observation.”

“Need to make clear that the funeral home will be responsible for packaging (cardboard and Styrofoam) I though this was included as removal of packaging. We had to find a truck and dumpster because the funeral home would not dispose of it.”

“The first time we saw the casket was a few hours before the first viewing of my mom. There was a big noticeable white scratch on the front right side of the casket. There were also some marks at the right side which we think are marks where the parts were glued together. They were noticeable because they were light colored showing up on a dark colored casket. Because we could not do anything about it anymore, then we just used the flowers to hide these scratches, which was not ideal. In short, we were disappointed with the quality and look of the casket and we just could not do anything about it So we felt bad. If you want, i can show or send you pictures of the casket showing the scratches. One good thing to say, the casket was delivered quickly which was helpful. Thanks for that.”

“Both persons that I spoke with helped tremendously and resolved all my issues even when the situation and destination changed after ordering. It arrived and was exactly as my wife had wanted for her service. Thank you again for the hard and diligent work.”

“I placed the order Friday. The wake was Thursday, Monday I get a call saying I need to pay an extra $200 for delivery because their casket was in California (during purtchase Midwest delivery was free). I would of cancelled but was afraid to.”

“In the end, we were happy with our purchase. First shipment arrived damaged, and luckily a replacement shipment (day later) arrived without damage. Company was responsive to correct the problem. Would have been great had the first shipment arrived without issues.”

“I am grateful for this company. We have utilized them twice in a year's time. They are timely, considerate and fix any issues immediately. I am constantly informing others of the services and quality of the product. I hope they continue providing exemplary service and quality products. No one wants to be mislead or feel used during grieving and Overnight Caskets does not do this.”

“In a time of bereavement, it's unpleasant to be caught off guard by the sticker shop of burial expenses. I, for one, had no clue just how expensive burying a loved one could be. Initially, the funeral home quoted me a price of $10,000 for the least expensive casket they could provide. That was a non-starter. They eventually referred me to Overnight Caskets. I was pleased with not only the prices, but the quality of selections available at affordable price points. I was amazed to find out that the casket would be shipped overnight directly to the funeral home. I made my selection and paid with ease. I was informed shortly thereafter that the casket I selected was not in stock. I spoke to a representative who politely walked me through the process of selecting another casket of equal quality. It was slightly more expensive than the one I originally selected, but they did the honorable thing and did not charge me the additional cost. I really appreciated the gesture. Overnight Caskets helped ease burdens in our time of grief and allowed us to bury our loved one with dignity and grace in a beautiful coffin. For that, I'm appreciative. I tell anyone who'll listen about this company.”

“Casket was beautiful and delivered on time the next day. Everyone at funeral couldn't stop talking about the casket. Doris (the deceased) picked this casket four months ago and I know she is very happy in heaven with it. Thank you Overnight Caskets for a job well done.”
