“The process was very straightforward and the customer service was excellent. I live overseas and I was anxious if the documents would be accepted and required more detail and reassurance. The customer service team were very responsive and answered all my queries without delay. The process was seamless and I recieved my PAN card In the mail and online in a couple of weeks. “Don’t go by all the good reviews! I had a very bad experience. I took their service hoping to get it in 10 days but it took more than 15 days to get the electronic copy. I planned my trip to India based on their assurance I will get the electronic pan card in 10 days. On the 10th day when I checked the status it said that my application has an objection for improper scanning. So when I contacted Pan card express they told me they made a mistake in scanning but assured me that they uploaded the correct scanned copy and I would get in 2 days. I was still hopeful I can get it before my travel date but no, it did not come until I came back to USA. What is the point of taking their service when you have no guarantee of getting in time. They say they respond to emails in 1 day but for my last two email I did not get any response. Let alone getting to talk over phone! It is rare somebody will pick up the phone. I sincerely hope they publish this experience of mine otherwise I will go to the court or other private bureau . I will save this experience as a proof that I submitted.”

During the window of your PAN Application, the government had planned festive holidays (Dussehra) and unplanned government holidays due to the red-alert weather in Chennai (heavy rain). Normally Tax Officials take a minimum of 5-7 working days to allot PAN number. In your case, the documents reached Chennai on 24th September, submitted to PAN Officials on the next business day, and you received the electronic PAN card on 15th October due to the planned and unplanned government holidays.
