“I received a email saying that my PAN card has been shipped and was given a tracking number. . But cannot track this using the postal tracking number. Have sent emails, chatted online and provided details and was assured someone would provide details through email but have not received any feedback. This is very disappointing. It has been over a week and I don't know the status of my PAN card.”

Our office was closed for local holidays last week, which caused some delay in our response. However, we did respond to your chat inquiry and have checked the shipment status again. Your PAN card package is currently in transit with India Post. International postal tracking can sometimes take a few days to update, particularly while the shipment is moving between India Post and USPS. Kindly allow a few more days for delivery. We have provided your India Post/USPS tracking number and tracking details privately.

“we did everything right and paid to get the cards. we only got paper copy of the card but NEVER received the physical card. Please send us the cards. WE NEVER RECEIVED THE PHYSICAL CARD.”

“The document verification system need to be updated. An NRI Should sign and send the document by courier or by post to your address. After that you people forward it to TAX department. It’s a lengthy procedure and takes time more than expected. The name PAN-EXPRESS don’t suit for this procedure.”

“I have not received the PANCARD. Status indicates it is stuck in Detroit. Not sure if there is a way to escalate the delivery of the mail. I am unable to reach Detroit USPS. If anything can be done, appreciate it. I recommend usage of FEDEX or UPS for mail delivery. USPS, it is hard to contact people when things go wrong. Thank you”

Hello Madam Gangu, upon tracking as per the USPS portal, the package was delivered at 1:21 pm on April 20, 2020, in NOVI, MI 48377. The item was signed for by G V. (Tracking Number EA397085115IN) Kindly request to check your mailbox again. If the delivery was not actually received, please let us know and we can help escalate with USPS to resolve the situation. Income Tax Department of India uses International Registered Speed Post to deliver the package globally and does not use FedEx / UPS. However, thanks for your recommendation, and we will definitely relay the feedback to officials.
