The caravan was so dirty it was disgusting! Fusty smelling pillows & beds, i got bed bug bites all over my legs. We checked out after 36 hours & had booked 1 week. Nobody was really bothered about our holiday being ruined. The park is being managed dreadfully. Head office was just as bad, slow to reply & no care that our time & holiday was ruined. They just wanted to protect the money. I would avoid Park Dean all together they are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with for holidays, & I have about 10 a year. I’d rather deal with Vladimir Putin then deal with Park Dean again!‍️ 💁🏽‍♀️

I arrived at the caravan which was not clean as it had cobwebs everywhere and corks, sweet-papers under the cushions and also there was lipstick on a couple of the glasses. The crockery was not clean so I had to clean everything before use. The parking was awful as we had to park quite away from the caravan which is not ideal when the site is so hilly and you are unpacking the car. Work vans were parking in the visitor spaces so sometimes you could not get a space after you had been out. The vans should have parked near the entrance as there were a lot of space for the vans. The caravan had awful handles on all the doors as bits were coming away off the handles. It also said we would have free Wi-Fi but we didn’t have it. The swimming pool was ok but the showers were domestic ones that you could not get to temperature and should not be used in a complex like that. I have been on a few Parkdean sites and must say that this one ( Bideford, Devon ) is the worse one and would never go again. I waited for this holiday for 3 years because of covid and have never been so disappointed ever.

So we booked to stay at Romney Sands Kent on the 8th February,2022 with full details of our party of 5 (2 adults, 2 children and 1 infant) and paid in full. After six and half weeks and 10 days to our holiday, we were contacted by this despicable company to say they wrongly advertised our lodge and that it only had capacity for maximum of 4 people. What utter Nonsense!!.. they told us the ‘only’ available accommodation that can take our family would require additional £157, you can’t even begin to script this! They were obviously advertising the previously sold accommodation at higher prices and then offering refunds to customers who made earlier bookings at lower prices.. shameless company! When I asked for my full refund including the cancellation insurance added to my booking as this wasn’t my fault, the lady put me on hold and after a 20 mins wait, offered me the ‘last’ accommodation on site that can take our family for only additional £40 as Parkdean was offering us £100 as a ‘gesture of goodwill’. I told her thanks but I still want my full refund as I had had it by that time. On reading the reviews, it’s looking like this is actually a blessing in disguise and I’m hoping I actually get my refund. Please whatever you do, NEVER book your holiday with this MORALLY BANKRUPT JOKE OF A COMPANY!!

Stayed for a week at Sunnydale in Saltfleet. Caravan dirty. Poor cleaning despite covid pandemic. Green sticker on door to say cleaned and ready to use but far from it. Cleaned and then checked by a supervisor. Both inadequate. Lots of photos. Reported to reception on departure. No interest in helping. Used the excuse of not receiving notice of the problems despite the photo evidence. No explanation as to how this could happen and no real interest in engaging with paying guests. Disgusting customer service. Abysmal. Posting photos on social media to make others aware.

My grandparents who are both in their 80's have lived on Regent Bay Holiday Park (Parkdean Resorts) for 17 years! They were notified in the middle of a global pandemic that they would be evicted from the park, along with many other people. The park gave them 3 months to find elsewhere to live with very little explanation as to why this was happening! Thankfully we have been able to find them somewhere suitable to live with very little notice. The park which has beem home my grandparents for 17 years have dealt with the situation awfully with very little compasion shown. This corporate giant has since issued a £1500 bill to my retired 80 year old grandparents to 'disconnect' their caravan along with other ridiculous charges!!! Not only has this caused them a lot of unnecessary stress they have both been left extremely upset and let down! I do not understand how a company of this size can treat people like this in such a difficult time! They have clearly done this due to pure greed as they can now fill the caravans with holiday makers staying in the UK!!! I intend on seeking advice on this matter and will be sharing this with as many people as possible!!

Only booked for 4 days fortunately as so unhappy with Thorness Bay. On arrival 10am (early Ferry towing a caravan) were told coukd have our allocated pitch until 2pm even though our pitch was Empty and reception were aware of this. Fortunately for us we already had family on site having arrived the day before experienceing the same problem. So we parked alongside them until we were able to pitch. Toilets were disgusting. One toilet block to accommodate the whole site and the far shiwer cubicle in the ladies had poo in the corner and on the wall for 2 DAYS and they are supposed to be being cleaned twice a day. Also hair in the shower trays which looked like hadnt been cleaned out for days. Restaurant was very disappointing. We missed breakfast the 2nd thinking it finished at 12 and arriving at half 11 so we all decided just to have a drink and wait for lunch to start at 12 for a baguette or panini asked bar staff if that was ok and they said not a problem. Waited til 12 tried to order on App wouldnt let us so went to bar to be told by same guy oh weve not got hardly anything just meatballs and curry.. (why couldnt he have told us this half an hour ago??!!).. Went the following day for breakfast to be told.. Sorry we only have Pancakes we have no stock to do full breakfasts.. Then went this morning before we left for ferry to be told.. Sorry we have no GAS so we cant do breakfast.. Staff were very abruot noone stood at the door to explain or a sign apologising.. They waited for us to sit down sort children out and decide what we wanted and told us when we went up to bar.. Will definitely not be visiting again thats for sure..

We have made two separate complaints about dreadful ant infestation during a week’s caravan stay at the Parkdean Ruda Croyde site from 11-18 June 2021 inclusive on the Trustpilot forum. On the day of arrival we began complaining about the infestation of ants and we were visited several times by the customer service manager Fiona, her staff and also their professional pest control representative - called in off holiday ostensibly to deal with our ant infestation. The ants were all over the worktops, over the cutlery and crockery, on the sofas, under the baseboards, on the kitchen table - even inside the fridge freezer - it was awful. Everyone has problems with ants occasionally and we could’ve dealt with this but this was something else and was witnessed throughout our stay by the maintenance staff and Fiona. On the evening before we left the site the customer services manager - Fiona - visited our caravan again and witnessed once again for herself, the level of infestation still apparent after a week - she appeared very sympathetic and said “I would offer you a 10% refund on the holiday (which would’ve been about approximately £80) but I think that would be an insult to you).” Fiona promised she would speak to the area manager to try to increase the refund as we had experienced such a dreadful week. She never contacted us again. We have subsequently emailed the customer service department and received no reply. This is so disappointing - we have been going to this particular site since our children were young and that’s over 20 years. We returned because we had such happy memories of lovely times there and it’s such a beautiful location. We use Parkdean regularly (twice last year - Vauxhall Park, Gt Yarmouth - verifiable) and have never had such dreadful service. Frankly we feel totally foolish for trusting Fiona and somewhat ridiculed. It appears once we left the site the customer service manager - Fiona- had no intention of resolving the problem she witnessed on a regular basis over the whole week we were in the caravan. We hope this matter can be resolved.

This company is a joke. My mother in law booked a holiday break with the family, however, she has sadly passed away recently. We have contacted Parkdeans joke customer services on numerous occasions. I then sent a copy of the death certificate as requested but received no response from them. Finally after ringing for over a week spoke to someone in customer services who stated they had not received the e-mail. However, I had an auto response stating they had received. However, I again forwarded the certificate and again no response from them. I managed to get a web chat with customer services as again their telephone are stated as "unmanned at the moment" and they stated that they are going to keep 80% of the holiday cost as a cancellation fee. This is on top of the death of my mother in law and causing stress for hard working families who have struggled to finance a holiday. This company is shameful and I would avoid making a booking with them at all cost, just look at the reviews and I am not the first. I am going to make as many people aware of this company as possible.

Awful company with dirty tactics trying to get you to pay for optional extras that cant be removed and canceling a booking when you ask them to remove the optional extras from your booking. Steer clear from this awful company.

How are we ever going to get out of this mess when Parkdean holiday company are quite happy to ignore government guidelines and allow more than one family to go on holiday at their resorts. We have just been told that despite our desire to do the right thing and cancel our holiday because we had three families sharing, they are quite prepared to look the other way and will not offer a refund. Just outrageous!!

This has to be one of the most incompetent holiday companies I've ever had the miss fortune to deal with. We went on a holiday with them to Morecombe which was a farce staff was less then useless couldn't use the pool as it was fully booked before we got there they kept closing the kitchen early and the entertainment was on a dirty screen you could hardly see. Unfortunately we had already had another holiday booked and paid for to Wales for my birthday in October. now 2 weeks before we was ment to go Wales announced anyone from tier 2 and above could not enter the country so I phoned parkdean they said the park was closed but wouldn't refund until the government made a announcement even though we couldn't go and it was shut. Two days before we was ment to go Wales made the announcement they were in lockdown so rang again no we can't process your refund until your ment to go. Well we are at week 3 after we were ment to go we have had no communication from them what so ever and still no refund. Please please please do not use this company they are less the useless.

Arrived at resort with 4 children to a caravan with only gas fire. children 8, 5, 2 and a 4 year old with autism. Had to pay extra money for another caravan, had to pay for activities that were advertised free and they put the entertainment on different times to what is on their time table. Staff weren't very helpful, manager never said a word Even though she was there at discussions, left other staff to deal with things and I even rang 3 days before going to see what would happen because of the covid and was left on the phone over an hour and the member of staff didn't come back so I put the phone down. I would not recommend Parkdean resorts, I'd even looked at buying a caravan there so pleased I didn't commit to anything.

Parkdean refused our request for refund due to lockdown in our area. We can't go on holiday. Very poor customer service as offered voucher instead. We are over 70 and not sure what will happen in the future so do not wish to rebook. Don't book with this dreadful company.

Dont ever stay at a Parkdean Resort. I booked a holiday at lizard point resort, cornwall. Caravan i stayed in was filthy and certainly hadnt been cleaned to covid compliant standards. The cooker was thick with grease, mattresses filthy and duvets used for dogs to sleep on as covered in dog hairs. Kitchen tap falling off, rusty radiators, trims falling off. Lights faulty also. I tried to ring to report but went to ansaphone so left message no one rung me back. So i cleaned caravan myself before i could let my elderly mother in. I went upto reception to report next day they didnt seem that bothered that the caravan hadnt been cleaned but they did write down all faults to be fixed. They done some of them but not the electric light but said they would get it done. It was never done whilst we were there. I will never stay at a parkdean resort again.

Paid for cancellation insurance and due to recent COVID lock down in Caerphilly we are unable to leave the area to attend our holiday with Parkdene Ruda. Was adviy2 weeks ago a partial refund would be issued but have just had a call from Parkdean today’s advising I was misinformed and I would receive no refund even though cancellation insurance was paid for. DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY
