I have a PayPal account and agreed to hire a freelancer, he told me he could only accept PayPal and bank to bank transfer. PayPal has a program called Xoom, I assumed it was safe because the first question asked is is this for friends and family or for good and Services, it was for good and Services so I proceeded in safety, as I believed. Long story short, I was completely scammed $1500 and PayPal will do absolutely nothing for me, though I marked for good and Services, they said they offer no seller protection, so why in the world would they have you check that, I did not think that would be a part of the agreement, especially since they make it seem as though they offer protection. I am so sick of PayPal! Very, very deceitful, why would they include that information in the fine print, more importantly, why in the world would they ask if I was sending the money for friends and family or good and Services. Obviously One would assume you were protected especially because you’re going directly through PayPal.

I was contacted by PayPal in May and told that it looked like there was fraud committed related to my account. I had not used my account in years, and confirmed the fraud. The gentleman on the phone told me to change my password and that he would fix the problem. It was not fixed. I was contacted in June by a collection agency telling me I owed PayPal $500 for “paybacks” made to the people who had been defrauded. I called the fraud department at PayPal and told my story again. The representative said that it would take about a week to fix it. In July, I went through the whole process again, after I was called by PayPal about the money I owed. This third representative said to please give them another week to fix the problem. It is now three weeks later and I am called again by PayPal about the money I owe them. I am 72 years old with a PhD, was never a seller on PayPal and have an 800 credit rating. If you have a PayPal account, cancel it!!!

Tried to set up a new business account and the sign up page didn't work. I had a PayPal business account but couldn't access it due to change of number due to loss of phone. I went to get help and they are completely useless and no instruction taken from the CEO of PayPal which I know would have given instruction of the issue to be rectified by his team.Yet, their staff accuse you of being trying to be fraudulent when you can't access any account. I have made sure that my treatment of PayPal has arrived at the attention of MP's for Business as this is just ridiculous behaviour and treatment.

PayPal isn't suitable for small service-based businesses like mine. A customer claimed dissatisfaction with 2 out of 7 serviced items. We agreed on a partial refund, supported by text messages and our refund policy. Despite this, PayPal issued a full refund to the customer. Due to this experience, I've deactivated PayPal from my e-commerce platform. This feels like an abuse of their dispute process.

Paypal buyer protection load of s£%/e bought brand new tablet from ebay. 40 days later gets message from Samsung this tablet is going to be locked in 72 hours due to being a trade in. Tried contacting seller nothing contacted Ebay sorry over 30 days contacted paypal sent pics and even said the seller on his feedback had done this a few times. The tablet has locked and is now useless. But guess what Paypal sided with the seller to me both are k#£%s

I would give Paypal less than 1* if I could. After being a business customer for more than ten years, they restricted our account and asked for my ID (passport in my case). I sent it through but heard nothing back for a month. The restriction stayed on, and a request for the same ID document was still on our home page, so I submitted it again (a valid UK passport). 3 weeks have passed since then and the account is still blocked with a small amount of money in it. No other documents have been requested and our account still says our documents (i.e. my passport) is still being reviewed and this should take 2 to 3 days. This has now been more than 2 months. Today I began a chat with PP and I got nowhere; I wanted to close the account because i can't be bothered with this kind of customer service. They just told me the 'documents' (i.e. my passport) is still being reviewed and they would email me when it's done. It's absolutely ridiculous. We can't close the account, send money, withdraw or receive money. They make you feel like a criminal.

Paypal is a fraud company, you will lose 10 % as their charges for international payments even there is no convertion .I paid 3433.35 AUD from my forex card to another AUD account. No convertion took place. Receipt get only 3139.30 AUD. I lost 294 AUD , Paypal is a looting company.

Paypal I can't deposit any money into my bank as the stupid app won't let me sign into the link ti that . All it dies is ask me to change my password a million times so I can't access any of my money . Was basically forced into buying a stupid gift card fir Burgar King and went to 3 of them just to be told the gift card isn't accepted. Then I went back to Paypal to ask for a refund and wad told I can't have a refund as I have good reason for the refund. Don't use Paypal they steal your money and deceive you

PayPal is not a good or safe service. It has horrible safety features and leaves you open to fraud. Someone opened an account in my name and stole money from my account. PayPal was NO help at all. They were horrible to deal with and did nothing about it?? I called numerous times and they did nothing. Thank heavens for my banks ability to help me. Please be aware PayPal is NOT a safe place for your money and the customer service and fraud protection are horrible

You'll waste hours of your time. Their process 1) freeze your account 2) you waste hours trying to figure out why your account doesn't integrate 3) you contact them and you are logged out repeatedly as they take so long to respond 4) they ask for information which you submit every year and say this is why they froze your account, with no advance warning or requests. 5) They do nothing to fix it DOn't use them it's not worth it

I ordered an item from china via the internet and paid with paypal. When the item arrived it was not as advertised on the website. I contacted the seller and tried to resolve it but they were not interested. I then contacted paypal and tried get a refund. They said that they would investigate the matter. about 2 weeks later I received their determination that they would not refund my money. Without seeing the items I received, they determined that they were correct. I thought that paypal was just a source that transfers money from one customer to another. I did not know that when you used them you gave up your right to get your money back if you were not satisfied with a product and that paypal was the judge and jury and decided who was right or wrong. I canceled paypal immediately and not use a credit card with a low limit so I can control the payment.

PayPal has a hold on my money and won't release it. I had been over a week and they keep telling me to try in 24 hour. I have tried over and over again and get the same results. I will advise anyone to not get money tied up with PayPal.

so much for buyer protection. I have an email from 1800flowers stating they will reimburse me for a flower delivery that showed up 1/3 the size of the bouquet on their website. I turned that email in to Paypal after 1800flowers gave me the run around about issuing the credit in the email. It is Jun 13th. I've been trying to get this resolved since March 29th. I've called Paypal 5 times to get this resolved and they keep saying they need more information. The same information that is in the initial claim. They reopen the case and then close it because they need more information. I give them the info and they say they will reopen the case and then they close it again.... it's crazy.

If there was any possibility I would have given minus ratings. Sudden transactions from paypal appear on the activity. To raise questions on any billing disputes on billing activity is very difficult. the answers provided by paypal are very inadequate. for some reason paypal always rules in favor of corporate companies. there is no genuine effort to perform any investigation. IMHO PP has some sort of shady understanding with certain companies and charge the customers. As usual you will 100's of legal pages with incoherent language where PP denies any responsibilty. Please stay away from PP. Please dont assume your CC details are safe with PP and not exposed

Pay pal had me ad statement to my invoices to protect me. Did work for a client the client signed and paid invoice Before they paid we told them there was an additional issue with their ac The u derstand still paid and signed off on work that was done They then decided to complain to PayPal not even disputing actual work that was done. PayPal refused to talk to me with a live person and just automatically sent my $859 back to customer. Based off I did t do the work, yet the customer wasn’t disputing the work I did. They thought I should do the extra work for free, which it also stated on my invoice if there extra work there would be extra charges PayPal will just tak your money and do what ever they please and mark down a lie why they did it Stay away and know they also own Venmo
