“Box arrived squashed, but the contents were fine! customer service is impeccable! always friendly and helpful! I can highly recommend Pediware for anyone looking for a great deal on quality men's footware.”

“Slippers arrived very quickly, safely packaged. Boxed and wrapped in tissue as befits the brand. They're a regular Christmas present for my dad and will continue to be. Never had any issues (apart from me ordering the wrong colour).”

“Ecco shoes are in good quality. However, there are some problems existing in the shipping. I couldn't get the parcel until I called the post to check. The reason is that the mobile number is wrong. The situation is that I called to your colleague to change the mobile number so that the post could get in touch with my dad in China when I ordered the shoes, but the mobile number on the parcel is still the original one. Hope that it will not happen again.”

We are sorry if there was an issue with the mobile number on the parcel - the mobile number on the order is automatically added to the postage label but if you informed us of a change before the item was shipped it should have been amended. “I have recently purchased a Pair of Loake, McDowell Black. I ordered a pair in a 7.5uk fitting and unfortunately were too small and I had to return them for a 1/2 size up. The down side is the additional postage cost at returning them and you charging an additional fee too ship them out again. This does make the purchase extremely expensive and that I live in Australia. I do always ask, via email, before purchasing, if the shoe that I am looking at acquiring to match the size of my previous purchase. This last purchase was costly and I feel that the 1/2 size difference was extreme. I have bought several shoes from you in the past and generally has been very good. Need to look at a way to minimise this expense. I would suggest with clients who have purchased shoes from you previously and ask you the question - Am I buying the right shoe size based on my last purchase? Would it be so hard to measure the previous purchase to the new potential purchase? - I know that there may be some variables such as last forms and width sizes, but saying that, it wouldn't be that hard to measure from a previous purchase to the new potential purchase. Very good overall, however a little more effort would go a long way. We all strive for perfection!!!”

Dear Customer Thank you for your review and feedback - and for the 5 stars despite your concerns. I note your points and understand your frustration. We frequently discuss sizing with customers on Live Chat or email - but I think that even if we had done this in your case we would have ended up sending you the same size 7.5 in the first instance. The the shoe you bought is made on a longstanding last of Loake's and is generally considered to fit true to size - and given that you have bought size 7.5 on other true to size lasts previously we would have been as confident as is possible that sending the 7.5 would have been the correct thing to do. Unfortunately, as you have discovered, there is no sure way to ensure a shoe fits other than trying it on. I do think you were particularly unlucky - and I really do not think we could have anticipated the difficulty you experienced with fitting. We hope this issue will not affect your confidence in buying online - and please do contact Stephen or David via live chat to discuss your fitting before you buy.

“Very professional service. Shoes arrived quickly and were very well packaged. I was kept well informed of the parcel's progress as well. The Loake Pimlicos are superb and an excellent fit at a good price. The complementary polish and shoe horn are a nice touch too as is membership of the "Loake Discount Club" for future purchases. Hope to deal with you again.”

“My ordered product was unavailable in the colour and size required. This was advised to me by return email together with the advice that the product was available in my size in a different colour. I ordered both pairs advised as being in stock, and these were received in Brisbane, Australia in approximately 4 days. Overall a totally satisfying shopping experience”
