Exploiting a 96 years old veteran … Case/ order/ INVOICE NO. 1314575 Unfortunately a very bad experience with this company. I am 96 years old, and we believed they were “the number 1 in London”, but honestly even 1 star feels too much for what we experienced. After they came to my house to fix the heating system, I started having one problem after another. Problems that had never existed before suddenly started appearing “miraculously”. They came to my house seven times. Each time something else stopped working shortly after they left. New problems started appearing such as energy/electrical issues and pipe problems, and because of that more workers and coworkers were brought into the house again and again. Some payments were taken automatically from my card, and other payments happened when I was alone in the house, without anyone there to help me understand exactly what was being done or charged. I live in a five-storey house and I am a retired doctor who worked over 50 years in the NHS doing my duty for this country. At a certain point I asked a neighbour and a younger person to help me understand what was happening as my age fading my knowledge and became the vulnerable. During the last visit recording devices was in place recording both sides/ ours and theirs side, because the situation had become very concerning. What we captured raised serious questions about what was happening inside my home. For someone 96 years old, this situation has been extremely overwhelming. My bank has already placed my account into “recovery mode”, cancelling my cards and blocking access while they investigate the transactions. I was born in 1929, during the time of the Second World War. A British that even vulnerable will not give in to these exploitations. My advice to other customers: please be cautious. Do not rely only on seeing company vans around London. If workers come into your home, especially if you are elderly or vulnerable, make sure someone else is present, record what is happening if possible, and keep all evidence in case you later need to dispute payments and report the situation to the authorities. police fraud department and to your council area. Thankfully God sent good people to help me document everything, and the matter is now being escalated to the appropriate authorities.

I had James attend today as he is a dual fuel engineer. He was brilliant and went over and above what he had to do . I’m ex gas engineer myself so standards are high that’s why I choose we fix .

NEVER BOOK THIS RIP-OFF SCAMMERS !!!! First of all, this is the "Call out charge"... In my naivety, I thought "that's fine, as long as they will fix the boiler. By the way, I did my homework and found out that the "kettle noise" that the boiler was making, associated with no hot water ( but radiators heating working) = Plate Heat Exchanger sludge/limescale. I did tell these before coming, so I expected them to do something, ie chemical descaling or replace the Plate Heat exchanger. Technician came, banged the pipes inside the boiler with a screwdriver (probably his method of descaling the pipes !) and left in 30 min telling me that: a) I have to pay the call out charge £165 pls VAT= a whooping £198 ! b) as if that was not BAD enough, he told me that the cost of repair would be...£885 plus VAT =...£1,062 Of course I said a resounding NO to this attempt to fleece me. I emailed their offices - they stick with what was said by their technician. Subsequently, I found another plumber that cost me ONLY £ 450. I rest my case - actually I am going to take them to Court.

Work was carried out on a boiler to get the hot water working again. A full diagnosis was not given, and consent to carry out work was not sought, so we came away with a £500 bill for work done unconsented to and that didn’t fix the problem. You can see the business plan in action: rather than a good faith ‘job’, it’s incrementalised into each ‘task’, and when it doesn’t work, the money just keeps going up and up. And when there is an issue, you get put into the ‘system’ — i.e., ‘customer service’ teams take over, and you’re in ‘computer says no’ land. The audacity for the company to want to keep charging when the first £500 that didn’t fix the problem is not acknowledged is outrageous. The fact that another plumber was able to fix the issue for a fraction of the price and time — and that the Pimlico plumber hadn’t even noticed — shows they’re not the trusted, reputable brand they appear to be. Won’t be using them again.

Scammers. Avoid this terrible company at all costs. I have had numerous bad experiences with them. They have literally charged me £500 to change a thermostat that was only replaced a year ago, they didn’t even confirm they were charging that part with me. Just left and said they what they had done. Disgraceful!!! Should be illegal

The most awful service I have ever experienced. Apparently, you cannot give 0 stars, which is a shame, as Pimlico do not even deserve 1 star. Incompetent administration, an engineer who lied and a complaints process which is basically them deciding that you are wrong. As others have said it's £150 up front. The engineer turned up, worked about 5 minutes and said everything was fine. 3 days later the leak started again in exactly the same place. Pimlico said I would have to pay again to get someone to look at it and that their engineer had advised a replacement which I had refused and that it was all detailed in the engineer report. Of course, I had never received the engineer report as they had the wrong email address for me, and if I had received it, I would have challenged the false statements the engineer had included in it. I immediately made a complaint, which they dismissed as they had video evidence that supported the fact I was lying about what the engineer told me. They didn't follow their own 3 step complaints process, they are not a member of any external ombudsmen or complaints scheme. So, when they defraud you and dismiss your claim, you have nowhere to go. Oh and of course they later admitted they didn't have any video evidence and claiming they had was a mistake, but they still didn't refund me the £150 or admit any wrongdoing. Literally the worst company I have ever dealt with.

DON'S WASTE YOUR MONEY I paid £144 upfront (as required by the company) to have the pest control team on site to address a mice issue. I explained clearly on my phone call that we know already some specific points of mice entry to the flat. We asked this to be fixed and also to look for any other potential points of entry we we are not aware off. The person send to our property did not even attempted to fix the issue. Nor did he clean any of the droppings. He did not even remove the board to look at the back wall (skirts) where the holes are. I was told on the phone call that he would start working as soon as he arrives - which meant to be one hour work at least that has been paid. Instead of doing some work he tried to convince us to call a carpenter to replace a wooden board. This would trap the mice under the kitchen cabinets. I tried to resolve the matter with Pimico Plumbers but their advice remain the same. Replace the front board and trap the mice under the kitchen. In one our he could at least have cleaned the area. This hour of work has been paid for - so in the end it is easy money for them. They get the money upfront arrive at the property and do absolutely nothing. This is a good business format to scam people.

Terribly disappointed with this company & its service. They have become scam artists rinsing people for money. DO NOT USE I previously used Pimlico Plumbers a few years ago and had no issues with their service whatsoever. However my opinion on them has now completely changed, they sent someone to hang one radiator and this took him 4 hours, this is a 2 hour job maximum, i knew he was longing this job out for as long as possible so that they could then serve me with a massive bill of £465, this is terribly disappointing and completely unethical. Pimlico plumbers, do better and have better values, no one respects a money hungry, ungenuine company. I will never be seeking their services again.

The poorest service ever received . After years of being using PimlicoPlumbers unfortunately the last expirience has been a disaster and not digestable. They were aware of my issue with the plumbing system as they have worked out several times on this. Fact is that last month I called them as I was experiencing a new leakage from the shower ( same issue that they fixed back in June), the engineer showed up, not longer than 10 mins, he realised that it was due to blockage of the system that required a professional drainage not to the fault of the underneath switch. Billed the full cost and insisted to book the drainage service for the day after, something I always carried out with a specialist drainage company in the past . The following day a new engineer showed up, without any clue about what was the issue, took time to understand what I was supposed to do ( while it’s a recurring service I run twice per year and based on the previous notes the engineer is fully aware of the issue and how to address,it takes not longer than 1.30/2 hours) Funny enough he spent five hours, he billed 5 hours regardless my shocking reaction and on top of that he did not fixed any issue. When he left I realized that the whole bath/kitchen system was still blocked and it was not draining properly to such an extent I took pics aas evidence and booked for the day after the drainage specialist company that sent out a very expirienced specialist and tbe issue was resolved in less than two hours . There is a job report stating what was the state of art: apparently not job or very limited and poor job was carried before . Net net, regardless I have been a loyal clients for years, that the issue of my flat was well known and easy to address, I have been charged for a full call ( 10 minutes follow up ) and for a ridicolous 5hh/1000££ for a routine drainage work that was not carried at all, or totally wrongly and poor executed . Then I had to pay the other company on top Almost 1500££ full cost vs average 200-250 usually paid . Even more unacceptable the early response from their customer service than arrogantly and inappropriately keeps denying the refund and affirming that they did everything professionally, regardless the formal concerns of the engineer who carried out the work and clearly admitted that the job was not done asking me not to escalate the matter but offering to come back again This is totally unacceptable for a company like PimlicoPlumber, and this is my first complaint ever filed and first negative review written in ages. I cannot accept primarily the customer service attitude, and their dogmatic refuse to consider the matter the issue the merit complain and the genuine frustration of loyal clients,by denying any evidence and third party report

Pimlico Plumbers is nothing more than an overpriced scam disguised as a professional service. I called them out for a job that any competent plumber could’ve done in half the time and at a fraction of the cost. Instead, I was hit with a ridiculously inflated invoice for work that was neither urgent nor done with any exceptional skill. When I challenged the charges with clear evidence from a qualified independent plumber, they dismissed it outright — not because the findings were wrong, but because the other company wasn’t "established" enough for their snobbish standards. Translation: they’ll only acknowledge feedback that fits their narrative, and everything else is conveniently brushed aside. Their customer service is slow, evasive, and condescending. No accountability, no transparency, just arrogance . The only thing professional about Pimlico is how professionally they take your money. Save yourself the stress and the inflated bills. You’re better off hiring literally anyone else.

I had a disappointing experience with Pimlico. I booked an engineer to diagnose a boiler issue. The engineer arrived unprepared, lacked the basic tools needed to access the system, and provided speculative advice rather than a proper assessment or fix. I was charged £150 for a visit that resolved nothing. When I raised a formal complaint, my concerns were initially dismissed. After nearly two months of being ignored, I had to prepare a formal legal claim. Only then did Pimlico issue a refund, but without any admission of responsibility. I appreciate the eventual refund, but the delay, poor communication, and unprofessional handling of the issue left a very poor impression. I would not use their services again and advise others to be cautious.

Please do not use them ever again! Terrible service; it's all about the money and zero customer care. Our toilet flush was broken, so they fixed it temporarily. However, a few hours after they left, the flush was running everywhere. To our surprise, they recommended changing the toilet flush, even though we had already paid £390. We were happy to change the toilet flush, but they did not say anything so they can make more money on the next visit. to be honest, dodgy and I was hopping for a good service.

Avoid at all costs! Pimlico Plumbers responded quickly after my call, but that’s where the positives end. I was charged £1,500 for a repair that didn’t fix the issue. The engineer replaced valves without properly diagnosing the problem, the leak continued exactly the same, and they even tried to charge me more for a second visit. I later hired another plumber who correctly identified and fixed the real issue in just 30 minutes ! It’s now clear I was misled and overcharged for unnecessary work. Poor communication, no accountability, and completely untrustworthy. Avoid at all costs.

Terrible experience with Pimlico Plumbers. Work carried out by them lasted less than 12 hours - contacted them and they failed to even acknowledge that the work they carried out was very poor. I ended up calling another company who fixed the issue permanently in half the time and half the cost! stay away from big companies like them

Many thanks to Darren Mannnering who, once again, saved the day! If you need a great plumber who can fix anything ask for him. Last week Darren came over and located two problems then fixed both super fast. He really is second to none! Thanks to Darren's apprentice Frank St John too.

The worst service - overpriced and questionable upselling, rude customer service that threatened to report me to debt collection because I challenged their assessment, I was thoroughly disappointed and won't ever be using them again.

Very disappointed. Expensive with no positive results. The technician came the same day and was polite and conscientious but fixed nothing blaming past work done wrongly according to him. Technician then said the company would send a written follow up report with specific recommendations but I never received anything .
