We asked Pimlico to check our boiler back in March. We picked Pimlico because of all the great reviews that can be found on other websites... The plumber was really nice and professional, and we made the mistake of trusting what he said. He said that we needed to replace the boiler, suggested a brand new boiler he had available. And we agreed. Things went bad on the very same day but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Things were meant to be sorted out the day after. Except that of course they weren't and 7 months later, the boiler is still not working right, is costing us so much money to barely warm up the flat. We paid full price, and so expensive it was as well, in the hope that it would be dealt with quickly, that the service and the quality would be brill. 7 months later, the matter is still not resolved. The brand new boiler provided by Pimlico has had 3 faulty parts already. We have to keep chasing and chasing as they forget about us every time we stop doing so. We learned from the boiler provider (which is currently refusing to validate the warranty because of something that Pimlico did) that the boiler that Pimlico gave us back in March was a 3Y old model, so much for brand new top price eh... Please be smarter than us and don't be fooled by Pimlico, they do look the part, but that's all they do, stay well away. We communicated with Pimlico through emails and phone calls, they can respond very fast like 1h, or not until they are chased a couple of weeks later.

Extremely poor and expensive service!!! We have paid over £1000 to Pimlico Plumbers to be left with the very problem they were called out (twice) to fix. We have had to call another company and they have fixed the issue in one visit. Not only have we paid an insane amount of money to Pimlico Plumbers over two visits, when we have then called an alternative company to rectify the issue (which they did) we have been shown the appalling job Pimlico had carried out, whilst "attempting" to fix the issue. Additionally, the plumber from Pimlico spent 50% of his visit talking, going back and forth to his van and generally wasting time and then left the house with the problem still not fixed! My complaint to Pimlico has been responded to with an apology and an offer to discount any future call out. Absolutely not good enough!! Pimlico were paid (amongst other things) to install a "rodding eyelet" to allow rodding to an exterior pipe. When Inspected by another plumber after Pimlico left the house with the problem still not fixed (and £1000+ bill!!) we were extremely shocked to find the rodding eyelet/access had not been drilled through properly and simply covered with fernco coupling - see pictures.

£200 for a misdiagnosis and no fix. Had to get another plumber in to carry out the fix

The engineer who attended was not interested in finding the source of the leak, or to minimise the damage. It was me who had to manually shut off the heating exchange unit where we saw some water near by. It was obvious that the source of the leak was somewhere very near. He was actually putting his hand on the source and did nothing. Two days later when I had another engineer to have a look he saw that the joint just behind the unit, which your engineer was touching, has dislocated. All the engineer wanted was to call for another team to pull the ceiling down and investigate the piping from the boiler to the unit, while the problem was a very simple one. So, I am very very disappointed by the attitude and honesty displayed. They are not interested in solving people's problems, only to maximise their workload and income.

Charge Additional 20% after agreed Fixed price quote. Big Job badly finished. Very expensive price agreed. In addition, they charged an additional 20% which was not referenced in their written, negotiated and agreed estimate, nor indeed are any of their terms of service incorporated by reference. Terrible way in dealing with complaints. BEWARE Read in full the Service T&C, are misleading.

This was the most outrageously over price decorating service that I have ever experienced. They charge £114 per hour for simple decorating jobs

Very bad experience, overcharging you for doing nothing and not fixing problems.

Two of my radiators were not working after turning my heating on for the first time this year back in November. Additionally, the boiler pressure was dropping quite quickly when the heating was turned on. I called Pimlico Plumbers in as they were the top result on Google and had favourable reviews. Their plumber came over and "checked out" the system. He was very polite and efficient, but gave me the bad news that the boiler itself needed to be replaced, and the entire heating system needed to be flushed out as there was a blockage under the floorboards in a pipe which was causing the radiators not to be working. I was given a quote of £5350 for the entire job, and I was charged just over £200 for the plumber turning up in the first instance to check the system. As I wanted a second opinion before committing to spending over £5000, I had a local independent plumber come over and check out the system. It turned out that the valves on the two radiators were broken, and there was a small leak in one of the intake pipes on the boiler. Both of these problems were diagnosed within five minutes, and the work was done there and then at a tiny fraction of Pimlico's quote - just over 5%. The system is now working perfectly. Not only did Pimlico fail to diagnose the problem and quoted me a ridiculous sum to fix it (which in the event would not have worked anyway), they also charged me for the privilege! Avoid at all costs.
