The quality and ease is unmatched. The naming conventions and the explicit explanation of the various stages is unclear and hard to navigate on their website.

I love the utility of PowerBlocks. Their space-saving design and cost-per-pound value are both fantastic. I am on my second set. Years ago I had a set of PowerBlock Sport 9.0 dumbbells with up to 90 lbs per hand. They were great, but a bit noisy. Sold those and got the PowerBlock Pro set with urethane-coated plates. I like these better. For pressing and pulling exercises (bench press, rows, etc), it's hard to notice a difference between these and traditional dumbbells. For rotational exercises (curls, lateral lifts, etc.) with the adder weights in, the feel is a little off, a little harder, as the additional weight is further from your elbow, changing the rotational mass distribution. Not a deal-breaker, but different, and may result in needing to step down your weight lifted by 5 lbs. Some exercises are downright difficult (goblet squats, tricep extensions) due to difficulty gripping a single block with two hands. For that reason, I bought the PowerBlock Curl Bar, which has worked great. The only other item to note is that the weight adjustment slider works great on flat, hard, surfaces. If you set the block on a padded bench, yoga mat, etc. the groves may not align properly and it takes some finesse to get the sidebar into place. Again, not a deal-breaker, but something to note.

The Powerblocks are great. My only disappointment was that Powerblock started offering free shipping 3 days after my purchase. Because this was such a short window, I reached out hoping for some effort to make that right, considering I was not informed or aware of this impending change. After multiple emails, I never received a response. Disappointing to not receive any response.

The powerblock dumbells themselves are awesome! The stand came shipped with damage and even though I sent an email about said damage, I received no response back from the company. The stand is very flimsy and poorly made; spring for the commercial one if you have the money. The sport bench is well made enough but when you do dips you get the wobbles.

I purchased the PB Pro 50 with the Stage 1 upgrade. The PB’s are well built and easy to use. However, don’t like the standard handle and would prefer a knurled version. This can be purchased separately but I feel like knurled handles should be standard on any dumbbell set. Additionally I purchased the mid level stand and I’m disappointed in its build quality. I works and holds the PB’s in place, but feels cheap. I wouldn’t recommend purchasing either of the cheaper stands. All in all, I’m pleased with the purchase but PB’s aren’t going to be for everyone.
