“Diane and Paul were very helpful from the very start. We followed their instructions and the process was not overwhelming. They answered our questions in a timely manner and also allowed us to plan our trip to our liking. The crew of Quasar Expeditions called us in Quito with flight changes, we were already aware of them through Paul but the second reminder was thoughtful. The representative met us promptly at Quito airport with our travel documents. The Evolution and crew were amazing and each member of the crew did an outstanding job, They were very friendly and worked extremely well together. The food was displayed beautifully and tasted very good. The crew were also very personable, pleasant and always willing to assist us with anything. We were very appreciative of the Captain and his crew. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The schedule was great for maximizing our different excursions with the wildlife in each specific area. We did alot more that I thought we were going to do but I was happy to participate in each tour and get the most out of my Galapagos experience. Also the crew took care of all our snorkel equipment every time and assisted us if we needed help. I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and would recommend it to anyone.”

“We voyaged on M/Y Grace the last week of November 2018. This adventure clearly exceeded our expectations. Your staff, at all levels demonstrated a strong passion for their work and went out of their way to attend to every detail making our voyage exceptional. The Captain demonstrated outstanding leadership and clearly enjoys the respect of all staff, manifesting itself in their motivation to make the guests experience that much better. The food was excellent. As an example of adapting to the guests requests, we asked for “light” beer, and although there was only a little available on the first day, it appeared from ‘nowhere’ for the balance of the trip. The Director made the operation run smoothly and did not hesitate to help the staff when needed. Communication was clear and balanced. All staff, panga drivers, housekeeping, general maintenance and all of them - our room was immaculate and always done for us in a very timely manner. You should be very proud of having secured such excellent guides. While both were clearly kowledgeable and highly dedicated, Rafael, in particular, is unbelievable with his passion and ability to explain things very clearly and at the right time. We would not hesitate to recommend Quasar to our friends and definitely would adventure with your company in the future if our destination matches your expertise/catchment area. The approach of the Grace can also be underscored with the word “flexible” - adapting to the tides, following the Orcas, and I could go on - OUTSTANDING! There are segments of this voyage that included quite rough waters, but the staff made everyone aware in advance. The wildlife, geology, culture, history and experience did not disappoint and we thank you for making this an outstanding experience for both of us. It was seamless connecting on arrival and on departure. The entire boat was kept impeccably clean at all times, all times.”

“We had a wonderful time! The ship was well kept, the crew were welcoming and the cruise director, Deborah did an outstanding job making sure we had a good time and our needs were met. The naturalists, Bolivar and Walter, were nice and knowledgeable and they did their best to find us everything we wanted to see. It's nice to see them with cameras too because it feels like they haven't become jaded with the wonders that they're showing us. The food was outstanding (we had a guest chef from Spain who was wonderful), and the cabin guy really did a super job making sure the cabins and such were well cared for. As well as the rest of the crew that no one gets to see, but who make sure everything works! I can't wait to take the other tour going the other direction, and I can't imagine doing it on any other ship, either.”

“Everything about our trip went flawlessly. The captain and the entire crew were top notch. The chef did a great job. Our naturalist was thoroughly knowledgable as you might expect of someone who was born and raised in the Galapagos. I do not think our experience could have been improved upon. Much credit to the other wonderful guests (now friends) who also made it memorable.”

“M/Y Grace es una experiencia inolvidable. La tripulación está conformada por personas profesionales, amables y atentas. Las actividades programadas son muy seguras y siempre se dan en las mejores condiciones, la comida es excelente, las instalaciones del barco (zonas comunes y habitaciones) siempre están limpias y son espacios acogedores. Los guías son muy profesionales y respetuosos, siempre están atentos a las preguntas y dudas durante los recorridos. Fue una experiencia inolvidable y fantástica. Recomendado al 100%”

“The crew of the historic ship M/Y Grace and our guide Roberto were dedicated professionals that went out of their way to ensure their guests were well taken care of and that the agenda and activities were superior. It was nice being on a smaller ship - we had more flexibility to do things and do things quicker. It was a special experience being able to be so close to so many precious species of animals and plants. Our guides knowledge was impressive. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and really look forward to taking our grandchildren when they are older.”

“Excellent yacht m/y Grace with excellent excellent guides, excellent Master and crew and excellent foods. We had a most wonderful experience at the Galápagos Islands! We learned a lot from guides Rafa and Walter. Land tours at Quito and Guayaquil are also excellent.”

“Best vacation of my life so far. I was on the Evolution. Everything was top-notch. The accommodations were lovely, the crew was fantastic, the food was great & healthy and the naturalists were very knowledgeable and fun to be around. I would DEFINITELY recommend Quasar Expeditions to anyone wanting to tour the Galapagos Islands.”

“Our week on the Grace was simply extraordinary. Our guides, Roberto and Carolina, kept us busy each day snorkeling, kayaking, hiking and learning about what makes Galapagos so unique and special. It was exhilarating to swim with sea turtles, marine iguanas, penguins and sea lions. Every day we were treated to gourmet meals by an attentive and professional staff. The boat is beautiful and the crew takes great care in keeping it pristine. We loved every minute, and the assistance we received in planning the trip was exceptional. Not having internet service was such a great break from our daily life...really allowed us to unplug fully and take in every spectacular moment. We'd love to do another trip with Quasar.”

“My Grace is the only way to see the Galapagos. The crew are customer service pro’s and catered to our every want, including arranging a spontaneous wedding with cake, music, and the captain marring the couple. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and fun. I was especially impressed with receiving a personal tour of the Darwin Center when my husband was unable to walk the distance required on the regular tour. The combination of the amazing destination, beautiful yacht, the expert crew, the guides, and the guests we shared our trip with made this a trip of a lifetime.”

“All Quasar staff/personnel were exceptional. They had our interests at heart; they were kind, friendly, and helpful. They helped make our trip very special. We would especially like to recognize our driver, Christian, our Quito guide, Johanna, the naturalists on the Grace, Gustavo and Carolina, the Grace chef, Alvaro, the Grace's manager, Edison, and the panga drivers, Freddy and Miguel, as well as Captain Vicente Briones, who made the snorkeling possible for my wife who is not a strong swimmer.”

“We had a wonderful time on the Evolution - the whole crew, from the captain to the room stewards couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Our captain Victor went out of his way to assist people on board as did Doctor Isaac. Our Naturalists, Bolo and LuLu were so knowledgeable and personable. I could go on and on about the individual acts of kindness but it would fill pages. Honestly I would recommend this line and ship highly and have already done so to friends!”

“This was a trip of a lifetime. The naturalists and ship staff were outstanding. Alix had a deep understanding and encyclopedic knowledge of the region that only 30 years of study brings. Lulu was quite knowledgeable and really, really funny. Our fellow guests were all very compatible and interesting company. This tour operated like a well oiled machine behind the scenes. Good times just kept happening with seemingly no effort, at least on our part. I know the entire staff worked very hard to make it appear so. The animals! The geology! Playing with sea lions while snorkeling! Mating Albatross! Territorial threat displays between male land iguanas! Walking on lava flows! Pinch me and tell me if this was a dream.”

“We found this company on the internet and decided to use them because of the opportunity to drive ourselves with local support if needed. They were great from start to finish and the trip was amazing. Felt safe, Jeep was great, directions made travel and border crossing easy. Loved the hotels (Singular, Tierra Patagonia, Eolo). Beautiful landscapes, great food - enough variety for even picky eaters.”

“Amazing trip, from the Atacama Desert to Patagonia both in Chile and Argentina. All accommodations were unique and very comfortable a yurt, ranch with generator for power, eco hotel built into the side of a mountain, and the ubiquitous hotel. The Atacama Desert week was our first week using Quasar we had no guide for this week, We live at 9,000' hike daily and wanted to summit a volcano at 18,500'. Quasar worked with the hotel advising them we lived and hiked at high altitudes with that information the hotel fast tracked us and we were successful in our climb to 18,500', followed by champagne at the hotel! This hotel had great food and our guide was perfect! We had a private guide during the Patigonia trip and he was the best part of the trip, we met and set a tentative plan that was flexible to take into account weather and what we wanted to do. We are not into much drive, sight see, drive stop, drive.....but more but more relaxed hiking in one area. I am a student of paleontology and Quasar set up two separate tours with additional guides to visit paleo sites. One site was with the paloebotanist who was working the site! We were able to do some special hikes those without a guide could not do, best part he found a puma!!!! I recommend a guide! One hotel cancelled several of their daily trips and guests were not happy. We always had a back up plan, became good friends and had a unique trip because of our guide. He knew birds, off the beaten path hikes, places to stop and became a great traveling companion. I could go on but I highly recommend Quasar.”
