Using Quasar was easy as they took care of everything in a very professional manner. From providing pre-excursion information to sending detail itineraries, accommodating any changes we wanted to arranging for all the small details - they are experts! The guides are all very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and prompt on pick-ups. We could not have planned or arranged such a holiday on our own! They had all the tickets purchased for trains, buses, exhibits, museums and excursions - all went smooth without a hitch!

We loved this Quasar trip and rate it the best trip we have ever taken. Every detail was taken care of and it was the most relaxing, but busy, active and fun filled, daily adventure imaginable. We loved our guides and we loved the crew! We loved our fellow travel companions that we met. We saw the most amazing wild life and appreciated our guide's knowledge of all that we saw. Everything was timed so that we barely shared any location with any other tourists and loved Rafa's moments of silence so we could hear what we were seeing. Highlights for me were the penguins, the Orca whales, the tortoises, the birds (Frigates especially), but all birds, the sea lions of course and oh my, the Manta Rays!!

An unforgettable week! We are still talking about our incredible experience in the Galapagos - Footsteps of Darwin - in early Feb 2019. Absolutely everything on the Grace yacht was fabulous. The food, the accommodation, the common areas, the feeling of being on such a historic vessel - everything was outstanding. Even better were the staff onboard, who were so friendly, thoughtful and welcoming. Above all, though, the guides, and the well-constructed itinerary in this unique part of the world really made this trip unique. Quasar staff were so helpful from the very start of our planning process, and helped us through the pre-departure process, and all transfers, land arrangements organised by Quasar worked perfectly, as well. We travelled with our 2 children aged 10 and 13 and we all learned so much. I could not recommend Quasar highly enough and we can't wait to return to the Galapagos and Ecuador.

I cannot begin to describe how perfect our trip was. Everything from the initial scheduling and arrangements through the final wave goodbye at the airport when our guide delivered us on time for our flight home. Rafael and Walter were fantastic guides...friendly, warm, humorous, and brilliantly knowledgeable. Melissa was the quintessential cruise director and The Grace an elegant home on the water. Thanks for the perfect trip. I have no criticism whatsoever.

I am a person who travels a LOT, both for work as well as pleasure and I can honestly say this was one of the best trips I have ever taken. There is literally nothing I would change. Everything about Quasar, from the booking process through the trip itself was handled absolutely perfectly. Our journey included a land portion in Ecuador followed by a cruise to the Galapagos. The ship was the perfect size - it felt very personal, but never like you couldn't be independent. The crew was exceptional. For me a highlight was the guides - I'm sure they have done it all a thousand times, yet somehow they made very hike, snorkel, etc seem fresh and engaging. If you (like me) have always dreamed about a trip to see Darwin's inspiration, trust your journey to Quasar and you will return home with all the magic intact.

The boat was very attractive and comfortable -- both the staterooms and the common area. What made our trip so special, however, was the staff. The crew was wonderful, and the National Park Service guides were top notch. Both in their nightly briefings and while taking us on excursions they provided the right kind and the right amount of information, and they made an effort to get to know everyone. We were three generations, and we all had a tremendous time!

We had a genuinely terrific time. The Galapagos is an unworldly place whose beauty is truly raw. Few places offer such serene peacefulness in an environment that remains, for the most part, unadulterated by mankind. New and old life surrounds one on every island as does the brutality of survival. My family and I would spend every evening contemplating what we had experienced during the day as we appreciated our wonderful accommodations and the worldly people we met. That said, we were impressed by the age range of the passengers which allowed for various degrees of activities depending on one's abilities and desires. The Grace is beautiful and well maintained, and the staff is truly friendly and efficient. The food is plentiful and tasty. The itinerary is very well planned and gives a wonderful overview of the islands and wildlife, both on land and in the water. I also highly recommend working with Quasar. Diane did a great job organizing the trip for us, including setting up our stay in Quito and Hacienda Zuleta (which is a stunning "farm" in the Andes). My family and I look forward to taking future trips with Quasar.

Going to the Galapagos had long been a dream of ours. After calling several other sites I spoke with Paul & Dianne of Quasar Expeditions & knew immediately that they were who we wanted to go with. They are informative, helpful & not pushy. We booked a 7 day cruise on the Evolution a 32 passenger boat. From the minute that they meet you at the airport to the minute that they take you to the airport to leave, they are the most professional & fun people that you could ever want to be with. The boat is spotless, the meals were excellent, the guides and the entire crew are terrific and the islands are spectacular. We spent the day before in Quito to avoid any travel problems & had a guided old town tour [ highly recommended]. If you are thinking of going to the Galapagos, go with Quasar Expeditions, it's definitely a 10 out of 10. Marc & Phyllis Berger Niantic, CT cruise date 1/12/19

Unbelievably fantastic! I was so impressed by Quasar’s attention to detail. They kept us informed on not on,y our itenarary but as to how to prepare. If we had any questions, they were eager to help. They virtually held our hand from arrival into Quito until our departure back home. When my wife developed altitude sickness, they helped arrange for a doctor to visit her and continued to check up on her throughout the next few days. When we decided to change our return layover from Quito to Guayaquil, they were on top of the changes and quickly made arrangements for a new hotel. I can’t say enough about how personal and professional they were. We are already planning our next expedition with Quasar. Walt Peterson

from the moment we landed on Baltra, we were launched on a wonderful week of learning and exploring the incomparable Galapagos archipelago. the staff was incredibly competent. the naturalists dedicated and wonderful teachers. all, staff and guests, seemed to have a wonderful experience. this was billed as the trip of a lifetime, but I certainly hope we get the opportunity to repeat the experience. Kudos to Quasar Expeditions. PS - their recommendation for our lodging in Quito before we departed for Galapagos was also wonderful. will never forget the family of condors and the guided tour of Old Town Quito.

We travel frequently as a family (2 adults and a 9 year-old daughter) and for all three of us our Galapagos experience on the Grace with Quasar ranks at the very top of our lists. I could not recommend it more highly. Just go!

Quasar is a FIVE STAR company! Their assistance in planning the trip, eye for detail, care of the passengers, cleanliness on the boat and quality of food is outstanding. Their Level 3 Naturalists teach about the Galápagos the entire week with enthusiasm and obvious love of the land. Bravo!!!

Diane and Paul were very helpful from the very start. We followed their instructions and the process was not overwhelming. They answered our questions in a timely manner and also allowed us to plan our trip to our liking. The crew of Quasar Expeditions called us in Quito with flight changes, we were already aware of them through Paul but the second reminder was thoughtful. The representative met us promptly at Quito airport with our travel documents. The Evolution and crew were amazing and each member of the crew did an outstanding job, They were very friendly and worked extremely well together. The food was displayed beautifully and tasted very good. The crew were also very personable, pleasant and always willing to assist us with anything. We were very appreciative of the Captain and his crew. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. The schedule was great for maximizing our different excursions with the wildlife in each specific area. We did alot more that I thought we were going to do but I was happy to participate in each tour and get the most out of my Galapagos experience. Also the crew took care of all our snorkel equipment every time and assisted us if we needed help. I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and would recommend it to anyone.

We voyaged on M/Y Grace the last week of November 2018. This adventure clearly exceeded our expectations. Your staff, at all levels demonstrated a strong passion for their work and went out of their way to attend to every detail making our voyage exceptional. The Captain demonstrated outstanding leadership and clearly enjoys the respect of all staff, manifesting itself in their motivation to make the guests experience that much better. The food was excellent. As an example of adapting to the guests requests, we asked for “light” beer, and although there was only a little available on the first day, it appeared from ‘nowhere’ for the balance of the trip. The Director made the operation run smoothly and did not hesitate to help the staff when needed. Communication was clear and balanced. All staff, panga drivers, housekeeping, general maintenance and all of them - our room was immaculate and always done for us in a very timely manner. You should be very proud of having secured such excellent guides. While both were clearly kowledgeable and highly dedicated, Rafael, in particular, is unbelievable with his passion and ability to explain things very clearly and at the right time. We would not hesitate to recommend Quasar to our friends and definitely would adventure with your company in the future if our destination matches your expertise/catchment area. The approach of the Grace can also be underscored with the word “flexible” - adapting to the tides, following the Orcas, and I could go on - OUTSTANDING! There are segments of this voyage that included quite rough waters, but the staff made everyone aware in advance. The wildlife, geology, culture, history and experience did not disappoint and we thank you for making this an outstanding experience for both of us. It was seamless connecting on arrival and on departure. The entire boat was kept impeccably clean at all times, all times.

We had a wonderful time! The ship was well kept, the crew were welcoming and the cruise director, Deborah did an outstanding job making sure we had a good time and our needs were met. The naturalists, Bolivar and Walter, were nice and knowledgeable and they did their best to find us everything we wanted to see. It's nice to see them with cameras too because it feels like they haven't become jaded with the wonders that they're showing us. The food was outstanding (we had a guest chef from Spain who was wonderful), and the cabin guy really did a super job making sure the cabins and such were well cared for. As well as the rest of the crew that no one gets to see, but who make sure everything works! I can't wait to take the other tour going the other direction, and I can't imagine doing it on any other ship, either.

Everything about our trip went flawlessly. The captain and the entire crew were top notch. The chef did a great job. Our naturalist was thoroughly knowledgable as you might expect of someone who was born and raised in the Galapagos. I do not think our experience could have been improved upon. Much credit to the other wonderful guests (now friends) who also made it memorable.

The crew of the historic ship M/Y Grace and our guide Roberto were dedicated professionals that went out of their way to ensure their guests were well taken care of and that the agenda and activities were superior. It was nice being on a smaller ship - we had more flexibility to do things and do things quicker. It was a special experience being able to be so close to so many precious species of animals and plants. Our guides knowledge was impressive. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and really look forward to taking our grandchildren when they are older.
