“To get a 100gm spool of 60/40 leaded solder for £3.99 was pretty impressive. OK the carriage doubled it plus the VAT on top - even so, for electronic work leaded solder is a must and it came 'rapidly' - just as I had exhausted my previous spool.”

“5 Stars as far as service goes. I rated lower to get their attention about shipping. I wish these guys would give a lower tier option outside the UK and not just DHL. DHL is very expensive for small parts. A $10 item becomes $40 as a result. And if you live in Canada (perhaps elsewhere), DHL doesn't just charge taxes, they also charge a handing fee, which is calculated based on the item(s) value. So a $20 order, will cost $30+ to ship, PLUS another $15 to to $20 in handling fee's, which is usually collected at the door.”

“The order was delivered promptly, and I was well informed of when it would be delivered. Unfortunately one item of the three ordered was wrong. And email to Rapid got an immediate apology and the promise to deliver the correct item the next day. This did not happen (Delivery company problem) and I had to wait over the weekend for delivery. Again the incorrect item was delivered, however this was a mistake by the delivery company, and the driver returned with the correct item within the hour.”

“Rapid have always been good, I have now used them for at least 20 years. Catalog / website description and manufacturer's data help make the right choice, prices are usually keen if not the best and delivery can be relied upon.”

“Update. Rapid contacted me by phone after leaving previous feedback. They will not refund postage despite parcel going to wrong address. Yes it is human error but it isn't what I paid for and therefore should not be charged. I have had to compensate the neighbour with a box of chocolates and an apology for the trespass into her shed! UK Mail or Rapid should do the same for me. Its called a gesture of good will Rapid! UK Mail delivered my items to the wrong house........... number 11 is nothing like number 3 is it? Apart from that Rapid are ok but they could have refunded the delivery charge as the delivery was so poor.”

“It's not often they are out of stock of something and whilst they may not have the largest range of all the suppliers, they are excellent value and usually have something that will fit the bill. The next day delivery is a bonus too.”
