I got interested in Reimage because my wife's computer was having a recurring problem. Windows Update could not complete the installation of some updates. I tried various solutions offered by the forums, to no avail. I had to use Windows restore to go back to a time when I knew that Update was working. That worked for two or three months, and the problem came back. A review of Reimage told me that it does a complete analysis, and replaces bad files and registry entries from its library. That sounded a lot better to me than returning to factory settings, so I did a scan of my wife's and my computers. My wife's computer was in poor shape-lots of problems. Mine was in excellent condition, except for stability. Reimage found evidence of a few "crashes" in the past several months. They weren't really crashes, something or other stopped working properly, usually IE, so I did a restart, and all was well. I bought a three computer license, on sale for about $45.00. However, I was charged the full price of $69.96-grrrr. That wasn't fatal, because I would have bought it anyway, but it was irritating. I decided to run the tool on my computer first. It took almost two hours, the last part of which was reinstalling Windows Updates. Apparently all Windows Updates are uninstalled during the fix, and then reinstalled. Except they weren't. I had to install 86 important updates and 7 recommended updates. I then discovered that I had no access to the internet, IE or Chrome. The reason: "Your security settings are preventing some files from opening." I checked the internet options security page, and found that none of the boxes were populated, and I was unable to make any entries into them. I tried to do a restore-no joy. I tried to boot in safe mode-no dice. The reason for both of these-my security settings were preventing access to System 32. I discovered that Reimage comes with a built-in restore option, which I was able to run. But unfortunately it didn't fix anything. I was left with a computer which operated very well as a word processor, and on which I could update Windows, but that was it. When I contacted tech support, I was asked the usual boilerplate questions, and was then quickly transferred to a supervisor. Without further ado he told me that a third party agency would have to be employed to repair my computer, and that I would be charged for the service!!! We had a few choice words over that, before I signed off. Thank the Lord I have a Windows 8.1 OS, so I was able to do a refresh, which restored the computer to factory settings, but at least retained my files. I spent several days downloading apps and reconfiguring the system, but it's working fine now. I was determined to stop payment on the credit card, but I knew that the bank would ask if I had tried to get a refund from Reimage. So I bit the bullet and called again, even though I was certain that it would be fruitless. I was surprised to get immediate approval of a refund, and the credit appeared on my card a few days later. So I have to give them good marks for that, plus for the fact that the supervisor I talked to about repair kept his cool when I lost mine. Summary: Product, crummy for me, zero stars. Customer service, mixed, but all-in-all pretty good, four stars.

I paid $34.95 and $79.99 to have my laptop fixed and two days later I get , scan your computer for problems. I ran the scan and you wanted more money to repair it. Two days? I am on a budget and can not pay you every week to scan and fix. I was happy at first but now I have issues with things crashing and malware. Not sure what to think.

I tried Reimage trying to find the best support I could find having used other companies that didn't produce as stated. At first I got emails about the quality of Super Support. A short time later, I receive an email that Reimage is no longer affiliated with Super Support, claiming Super Support was not doing it's job to Reimage satisfaction (as in so many words). What company has Reimage hired to do it's support work for my PC ? I haven't received any emails explaining or who I will be talking to about my PC issues. I'm ready to believe that Reimage is just like all the others I've tried, not to be trusted. $100 here, another $100 there, then another $100 and another. I could buy a different computer each year for the same cost as so called complete support that these, and maybe yours, claim to supply, and throw the old computers away and start anew. It's a, Take the Money and Run, business, I believe, leaving the customers without stable support and money.
