“Revolut Bank total disgrace to their profession
Revolut of all the banks I have ever experienced or tried over the years, are to my mind, categorically the worst I have ever had the misfortune to experience.
My wife and I have Power-of-Attorney over my mother-in-law’s financial affairs, due to her suffering from two forms of dementia, Alzheimer’s and Vascular.
Following her removal from home by the Crisis Management Team of Newcastle upon Tyne Social services, we agreed to move my mother-in-law into our home.
Under our authority vested in us by The Power-of-Attorney document, we closed my mother-in-law‘s accounts and transferred them to Revolut, for what we thought was safe keeping, but what a HUGE mistake that was.
Upon receipt of the funds, which we thought had been placed safely under Revolut’s care, they froze them, saying they needed to do security checks,
We fulfilled those security checks via the supply of photographs of the documents plus a video of the documents.
Yet they insisted on asking for a physical copy.
We twice asked for an address and twice our request was ignored,
I asked what other options are available, and they immediately said it would take up to 12 days to make a decision.
This, despite the fact that I made it clear that my mother-in-law is moving in with us imminently, very likely within the next 7 days and we have to meet the cost of this move as well as arrange a care support of Home Care.
By holding onto these funds illegally they are directly affecting a woman in a serious case of mental decline and this is totally unacceptable and I will be making a complaint to any and all relevant financial authorities.
The cooperative bank who originally held the accounts, efficiently released the funds, quickly on the basis of our legal authority, which Revolut seem to have taken upon themselves to ignore.
I will be seeking legal redress for compensation for any payments we are forced to make which were designed to be met from the transferred funds.
Revolut are an absolute disgrace to the banking community and any banks who are linked with them, should hang their head in shame.
Revolut are the most uncaring and unprofessional banking institution I have ever encountered, do yourself a favour and look at their competitors instead.
We will, of course, never use this bank ever again and my suggestion is to anyone considering using them, DON’T, give them a VERY wide berth.

They want to bill me again to go down to Standard, and it is only from Standard that you can terminate the plan. I refuse to pay - Revolut is a scam.
