All ready to buy my TV and Soundbar so set off to John Lewis to compare and purchase. One sales rep showed me the TVs then when I selected, handed me over to a second, then when I enquired about a sound bar, I was handed to a 3rd. None of them knew which would be most compatible with the other and none of it could be delivered the next day when I wanted it. For £100.00 less at richersounds I found the PANASONIC VIERA TX50CX802B on the website and with a call to my closest store in Chelsea had the good fortune of getting Matthew who couldn't have been more knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged deliver for the next day NO PROBLEM and suggested the CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TVB2 as being a very good option. MAN.... he was SO Right. Love it. I knew I was buying a soundbar but had no idea that I was also getting such an amazing Bluetooth device for streaming all my music with incredible sound. If not for him, I would never have picked this brand. Working in 5* hotels and knowing service, these guys provide it! and they care about their trade. It was so great to get Matthew after having experienced 5 guys at JL that seemed to have transferred from the suit department. There was one glitch setting it up as I was trying to use an HMDI cable, but with one call into the shop, I got Jermaine, who explained the Fibre Optic link in 2 seconds flat and guessed that as the problem from the get go. If its anything audiovisual... go see these guys! Keith

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Richer Sounds Leeds, I bought a new TV from them on Monday and Darren arranged for it to be delivered the SAME day, Mike the delivery driver was brilliant, he came to the door before bringing in the TV, incase there were any people about who could see new equipment being delivered, how thoughtful. I actually set up the TV myself, not bad for someone approaching 70, had a couple of questions during the set up operation, but a quick call to the shop both times and help was clearly given, without making me feel like a neanderthal. This is the best service I have ever had from any company and I can't recommend them highly enough ...... this is the company to buy from without a doubt

Bought my first 40" smart LED tv, I god a very reasonal price with the best discount. I also checked on other things they sell, they were really in good condition and probably last 50 years or more. One of the best stores!

I bought a TV last August from the Croydon branch on being assured that I could connect my ancient Humax recorder and DVD player to it. They would need adaptors and connect to a splitter which was also connected to the aerial. It sounded like a good plan, but it took a long time for the splitter to arrive and for the peripherals to be connected, and then the TV wasn’t turned on to show how they would be accessed. Later, I was abruptly informed by a member of staff that my Humax wouldn’t work and my recordings would be destroyed! He took its adaptor off and left. So I bought a modern Humax, which offers more features. The two devices were finally connected on 20th November by the manager who apologised for the delays and gave me a tutorial on how to access and use them. Overall, I am happy now with the service, Most of the staff are helpful and well trained. I will be buying a sound bar from the company soon.

Awful service. Bought an LG 43 inch TV on the 12th Sept, arranged set up 23th. Did not like the look of the set compared to my Samsung series 4 40 inch. The LG also refused to work with my hdmi cable and aerial connection. Reboxed it as new with all packaging but told by Chris the Chester shop manager that he would deduct 15 percent off my refund. The item was as new but he claimed that it was now classed as used as it had been taken out of taken he box. The small print is very misleading and is not in the customers favour. Great at selling things but awful at taking things back. Judging by other reviews they seem to be an awful company to deal with. The manager seemed to be making the rules up as he went along. Going to the shop things day to thrash it out. Paul on their service desk advised it's managers discretion to fully refund. I fully intend to escalate things today pending my visit to the shop. Stock can be hit and miss but they usually either get the goodies you want in the end or sort you out with something else. Parking can be a challenge at my local branch but i wouldn't go anywhere else.

I bought some sound equipment with a new LED TV on 11th Jan 2015 from Richer Sounds Birmingham store. This equipment was meant to decode the optical digital sound signal from the TV and play through a stereo amp. I never managed to get the TV to work this way and as the sound from the LG Television was acceptable and I live 60 miles away, never got round to returning the faulty goods until 01/01 2016. The person who served me was a new trainee and managed to locate my purchase on their database with a little help from the manager and fully refund me. This was not an easy problem to resolve as I hadn't bothered to take the receipt with me. Top marks for team work and good customer service. I will definitely use you again.

Shopped with Richer Sounds for over 20 years now, each year the service has gotten noticeably worse. In days gone by they were easily the cheapest and offered the best guarantees but many other shops now offer similar packages. What's gone down hill awfully though is the customer experience and the after sales, want to demo a £1,000 TV, no, because they won't open a box, trial a 4k TV with an SD source, no. Find a fault with the tv, spend months emailing customer service who take a week to respond and just ignore all of your comments in the last mail, yes. It's a real shame but Richer have finally turned into their competitors.

Poor Scanning Sensitivity I recently purchased the Tibo 1435 DAB tuner, my former Denon FM/AM tuner developing faults after 25 year’s service. Whilst the sound quality is good, it is often affected by what seems to be a weak DAB signal in my area and reception is prone to interference even though it receives its signal via a roof-mounted, omni-directional DAB aerial. Even after performing a factory reset the auto scanning system will not pick up BBC national stations or even my local BBC radio station (Stoke). It will, however, pick up BBC stations in Derby, Liverpool, Hereford & Worcester and even BBC Wales. I can only receive BBC national stations, 1,2,3, etc, by means of manual tuning. Furthermore, when eventually manually tuned to a national station it will not store them on any of the nine preset buttons. The unit, of Chinese manufacture, comes with no comprehensive user instructions and one has to resort to a poorly written online booklet. Anyone considering a new tuner should give the Tibo 1435 a wide berth.

I saw a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 9.0 speakers advertised on Richer Sounds' website for the great price of £39. After checking the specs and reviews I knew they would be just what I wanted, so went off to the Southampton store to buy them, as they were store purchase only. On arrival, one member of staff was already talking with a customer. I had to wait some time for them to finish, and there was no acknowledgement that I was waiting. At one point another staff member came to the counter, but instead of serving me, looked in a drawer for something and disappeared again. Eventually the first staff member and the customer finished their conversation but instead of turning to me straight away, the staff member seemed to be engrossed in his till screen. Eventually he asked if someone was already serving me. He must have known I wasn't being served as he'd seen me standing there for 10 minutes. I asked for the speakers, and he then started quizzing me about what I wanted them for, had I heard them, was I aware Richer Sounds sold a whole range of speakers, and did I understand that he had not specifically recommended these speakers. I got the feeling he was keen to sell me something more expensive, and it was done in a clumsy and irritating manner, particularly after having to wait and being ignored. I left feeling that perhaps Richer Sounds is a store for hi-fi buffs with big budgets and lots of questions, but everyone else is looked down on. Not a positive experience at all.

So after purchasing two tv's, neither of which performed well enough with Freesat to warrant there ££££ price tag I returned them both. The attitude of the shop was condescending and implied that the problem was with me not the tv! I won't be purchasing from this store again

blaupunkt 32 inch left for repair 23.6.16 was told 2-3 weeks max.contacted R.S.belfast one month later said they would get right on it.after 3-4 calls they phoned to say i could collect tv on the 8.8.16.despite saying it would be deliverd to my home.ive spent close to 1000 pounds at R.S. belfast in two years never again.shame on you richer sounds

Absolutely terrible! Went to the branch in Oxford to buy a tv which was advertised as sale but ended up paying a lot more. Misleading advertising and unprofessional staff!

If I could put zero stars I would,phoned up to order a benq projector on Sunday at 3.40 ish ,asked if it was in stock the man said its coming from our warehouse,asked was it definitely in stock,I was told there are 2 available, so I said to order it, when will I get it ,I was told 5 to 7 days ,phoned up the following Saturday and asked why I had not received an email receipt.the man called Thomas spoke to the man I was dealing with on Sunday and came back saying I was told on Sunday it was out of stock lies from the richer sound people,then to be told two people bought the same projector at the same time as me so no stock left for my order probably more lies as there was probably no stock when I asked now its not going to be here within the 5 to 7 day period stated .DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE TOTALLY MESS YOU ABOUT.WILL NOT BE USING AGAIN,IF YOU WANT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE GO TO PETER TYSON MUCH BETTER PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH.
