getting the then finding out that took 400/pound off me was not happy about this when should off took 100/pound give me 700/pound i wont other 200/pound please not happy to find out that refunds 800/pound got back 500/68 pound

The service I received always kept me up to date throughout the whole process. However I started my RIFT claim approx. 3 months ago and still haven't received my claim whereas many others received theirs within 1 month or so

There can be various reasons for some clients having different timescales, I am sorry yours was slower. Hopefully it should be completed by now. Please call RIFT if you would like to discuss anything further.

Good amount back but i ended up paying over a grand for you lot to fill some forms in very expensive

Hi Anthony, thank you for your feedback. There is a lot of work involved in any one claim and making sure we adhere to all HMRC legislation which can prove endless, along with the aftercare and RIFT guarantee. We hope to hear from you again next year.

The process although eventually completed did take nearly four months and resulted in my tax situation with HMRC being scrutinised twice. I was placed on self assessment tax declaration twice and also has my tax code wrongfully changed. Other than this the staff were extremely helpful and always on hand to speak to. I was particularly impressed by one individual handling my case who responded even though his out of office said he was on leave.

Was good service but i think it took a bit longer than expected.plus im still waiting for a payout..but overall.they got the job done ????

used rift thought they were ok until i was charged £495 and received £1015 a friend who had the exact same travel payments to pay as my self used a company called better tax and was charged £295 and received £2100 rift took to much of my money in my eyes

Hi Darren, our fee is 28% + vat for PAYE clients. For CIS clients we charge £245 + vat. We also have a minimal fee + vat. I am sorry to hear that you were not happy with the fee.

Helpful and processed my claim fairly quickly. It took 3-4 months from initial interest to getting the cheque. All I would say is that there are companies who my soldiers are going with instead because they charge a lower premium. This may be something to look into. I was charged nearly £700 from a £1900 odd claim. It's an expensive service considering the work required.

When you claim your tax refund with RIFT, our unique guarantee means that you don’t have to worry about the taxman reclaiming any of your money. So long as you give us full and accurate information, if HMRC disagrees with the amount that we’ve claimed and ask for the money back, we’ll pay it. It won’t cost you a penny.

Good service but I got a 2400 pound refund but only got a 1400. I will be doing it myself next time as that's a lot of money I lost out on

I believe that the percentage taken from my refund is too high in future I will be taking my custom elsewhere I lost out on over £700 from my refund due to this. I firmly disagree with the amount taken. On the other hand my claim was swiftly dealt with, however you were getting all that money off me.

Glad we could help and it went smoothly. We do provide free after care so anything else required (tax codes, SA Records, HMRC enquires) will all be dealt with at no extra cost to yourself, these are normally pricey 'extras' for under cutters of our fee and it always works out more expensive. Plus you have used the only company in the UK that guarantees you get to keep your money! I hope you are enjoying your refund David.

I am a bit disappointed im only receiving half the amount of what my rebate should of been this time due to the fact RIFT changed my tax code which I was unaware of

Hi Stephen, sorry that we made a mistake in telling you the wrong cheque amount, I've asked your advisor Matthew to give you a call to explain the situation better as he's the tax expert but in short what happened is that you got the refund back earlier, in your pay, rather than as a cheque so you didn't miss out on any of your rebate.

My case is yet to be resolved so I believe it a bit odd to be asking me for a review whilst its still on going.

Hi John-Paul, sorry the request to review seemed premature we automatically ask everyone to review us roughly a month after we create their claim. In your case I can see that HMRC have held the claim up delaying providing your UTR number but the tax return we sent to you on the 9th June will be what you get back. We'll continue chasing HMRC on your behalf and do our best to get that cheque to you sooner rather than later!

So far it's took over 2 months and still haven't received anything as of yet. I received messages saying things are being actioned but so far nothing. Considering there fee I thought it might happen quicker.

Hi Martin, Lucy from our quality and service team just tried to call sorry we couldn't get through. We’re really sorry you are experiencing delays with your refund. There's currently an unprecedented level of delay at HMRC for dealing with post and processing expenses claims. We have been told this is due to them implementing a new system. We understand they are now running a recovery plan to catch up on the backlog but unfortunately they are quoting an average of 5 to 6 months to deal with claims submitted as a P87, and this is provided there is no additional checks into the claim. We will continue to apply pressure for them to pay out as quickly as possible and will let you know when we have any further news.

I would like to have been apraised of a full break down of costs leading to the overall amount I was to receieve in conjunction with an explanation of actions carried out with HMRC on my behalf. Several times I had to contact RIFT (who were always polite) to seek verbal explanations reference my claim when I had concerns. Overall my level of satisfaction has fallen since my first claim (this year was my second claim).

I feel as though the speed at which my claim was processed could have been greatly increased. Forever sending forms that had been sent several times. Apart from this pleased with the overall outcome.
