I heard about a horse and young foal abandoned on a waste ground. My first thought was to call the RSPCA., you know that so called caring animal service. BULLC**P. They didn't want to know. Went to the nearest police station in the end and told them. I explained what had happened and they said they were not surprised by their attitude as they have come across time and time again. They only attend when they know the animal is going to die - saves them money you see.

RSPCA came out to our warehouse to remove a Barn Owl. Barney had been in our warehouse 24 hrs already. They turned up during peak hours and did attempt to coax him out with a dead mouse on fishing line. This was on Tuesday 25/07/23 They left at lunch time and I never heard from them again. Even though they said they would try to come back the next day 26/07 at 3pm with a cherry picker and bag him while he was asleep. Everything just seemed to be in the too hard basket for them. Today unfortunately we found Barney dead on the warehouse floor. Now this owl was huge and really such a shame that he was just left to die. We had informed RSPCA that there was nothing for him to eat or drink in the warehouse as we had done pest control recently. Now I don't know about you but i know how much funding RSPCA get as i used to raise money for them. This is very disappointing. Not even a follow up call once in the proceeding days. I will never support RSPCA again. This big beautiful bird is dead now bc you just couldn't be consistent and really try to save him.

Absolute disgrace, can you return the £15 credit you took off my phone for not answering and sending a generic tx. The dogs I was reporting could have killed the 12 month old child in the garden. Don’t worry I’ve got footage that I’ve tried to send you but it’s blocking me. Shove you’re pity adverts, this is a money making exercise. Have took all proof to my MP, newspapers next. What a scam you lot got going. Read previous reviews, I’m not alone. If you really care contact me and I’ll send you vid of 2 pit bulls. Police have been out, council contacted, support off MP… Disgrace, Oren tending to care about animals. Where does it say when you dial a phone number it’s going to cost £15???

No point in phoning for wildlife I've had a wild pidgeon in my back garden with a wound under its wing and can't fly since this morning, phoned them told us to confine it and keep safe due to cats hanging around which we've done then they phoned back not long ago saying they can't come out now to collect it!!!!

Had badly injured fox in garden. Rspca don't come out apparently. Told to call police or a vet Not the only bad experience with rspca as previously poorly cat found, and when rspca did arrive after 2/3 hours he didn't even have anything on him to check for microchip, and even said whilst holding the cat "he wasn't sure if it was male/female or what age it may be. I'm not surprised they are fighting to get donations I certainly wouldn't sponsor them

Terrible. had dogs all my life also accused of dogs being underweight dogs are working cocker spaniel strain so are lean but are full of energy and life very wary after the experience with them they seem a bit clueless after taking them to the vet and vet confirming they're healthy. They seem to seek out innocent pet owners for trivial things there is a lot of reports about them online read John Goodwins letter to parliament about their private prosecution.

I have had the worse experience with RSPCA claims department and after this month policy expires l will be looking for another provider. From their assessment team, to their consultant to their supervisors, they are an absolute nightmare. The one thing they are good at and if their was an award for it, it would be how many times they say sorry in one phone call, which becomes very annoying as these people a programed to pacify callers, and taught not to think or step out side the box. Not to mention language barriers, and having to constantly repeat your self. Its unfortunate that Australia is becoming a 3rd world country these days with saucing all their big companies and inquires out of the company, whether it be phone providers, electrical companies etc... all for cheap labor. RSPCA is no exception. I submitted a claim for a UTI infection that some stupid assessor assessed as a Cruciate Ligament which was rejected and after several hours on the phone back and forth with consultants and supervisors, and getting my Vet involved again the claim is now being assessed as a UTI but now l have to wait 30 days before its sorted if its sorted??!!!! so in other words because of their mistake now l have to wait another 30 days. I really don't know what the solutions is as l know even if l change providers more than likely l will be dealing with South Africa, Indian, Philippine's and nothing will change. I will the only way things will change in this country if the government bans these jobs being sourced out to other countries and kept within Australia, l honestly believe their is no benefit to us the consumer, as they may pay cheaper wages but the savings never get passed onto us, in fact the prices go up every single year and these companies such as the RSPCA just get richer and the money goes directly into their pockets.

Complaint about staff at RSPCA adoption centre Burwood. To whom it may concern, I would like to complain about staff at your adoption centre at Burwood. My brother and I attended RSPCA Burwood today at 10am as we were eager to adopt Daisy a Japanese Spitz. The staff totally misrepresented the dogs mental state by saying she was anxious, aggressive towards other dogs and barked a lot. They basically made the poor dog out to be CUJO. When we met Daisy she warmed up to us immediately and didn’t bark at a dog in the grassy area we walked within, in the centre. She definitely wasn’t anxiety ridden with us. Your staff obviously make the dog anxious. Anyway a heavy set imbecile, your staff member came outside and told us because we wanted to socialise the dog when she was in our care we couldn’t adopt her. The judgement of your staff was poor. Daisy couldn’t have found a better home than with us. I can’t in good conscience support your organisation anymore and withdraw my monthly donation of $20 as I believe your staff incompetent and not fit for purpose. Yours Sincerely, Theodora Angelopoulos

Rang three days ago about injured cygnet. They say it’s been logged and to keep them updated. I have now rang seven times and other walkers have also reported the cygnet, which is in danger of being attacked by a fox or mink because it’s sleeping on the grass. What a disgrace this organisation is.

I once reported a cat and kittens that had been left at a property when the tenant moved out. I took them in to keep them safe and rang rspca. They told me to put them back where I found them. Not interested at all, said there was nothing they could do

Our much loved pet cockatoo, Louie free flies some afternoons, we live on acreage area in Burbank. We do not cut Louies wings as it places further stress on him and he always returns home when we call out to him. A kind neighbour passing by our property thinking he was lost took Louie to Underwood 24 hour Vet. Sadly this vet didn't carry out their due diligence and call me as Louie is microchipped and wears a band, instead caused further grief and had him transported to the RSPCA!! Neither of these services called and I lost a days work hunting the area causing 2 sleepless nights. Eventually because of facebook displaying the C.A.R registration I contacted the RSPCA who confirmed Louie was there, we then had to endure a further 7 hours yesterday before we were allowed to collect him!. Louie started plucking his feathers 5 years ago due to anxiety when I am away for work. Sadly, he has been treated as an abused bird by both this vet and RSPCA. He was dehydrated due to the trauma of being taken and spending the night at the vet. Why?? why?? if a cockatoo displays this common plucking behaviour did either of these services call the owner but rather cause further grief to both the cockatoo and owners?? Where is due diligence? Where is empathy? Furthermore we now have to justify to the RSPCA that our beautifully loved and cared for baby has been treated for plucking. He has been under the care of the best avarian bird vet in Australia!! Adrian Gallagher, Brisbane Bird Vet!

I have taken my dog to RSPCA VET on 4 January 2022. The VET was a young lady, who scared to even touch the dog, although my dog is very friendly. The VET was keeping about 1 meter distance from the dog. She asked me to do every thing to the dog. It appeared that she has chosen a wrong profession. RSPCA should have employed a right person for the job. Needs to check their interest and passion rather than just the certificate.
