“Just had my first home delivery from Sainsburys, excellent! Dave the driver was on time, cheerful, and helpful. Everything was fresh and packed well - thank you very much. Sue and Joe Crocker, Martley.”
“Poor customer service. My last order was placed online to be delivered with carrier bags. However, to my surprise and despite to be charged with bag delivery, my shopping was delivered with NO bags. I tried to contact Sainsburys since with regard to this, but have not yet received any apologies/refund for the incorrect charge.”
“I have used Sainsbury's online for my food shopping, the produce is good, but the fresh fruit and vegetable go off really quickly because the use by dates are within 2 days of purchase. Which is ridiculous and often I finish up throwing them away, which is a totally waste of my hard earned cash.”
“Like the shops. Customer service is generally acceptable, given that I have to shop at some of the busiest times. Their website is just infuriatingly time-consuming to use. You hover the cursor over the drop down groceries list to open it, it opens, you move down the list, it disappears. You click on the arrow. Nothing happens. You try hovering over the arrow again. Nothing happens. Clearly there's a basic technical glitch going on which needs to be fixed.”
“Since cutting staff drastically at Bitterne branch, staff are demoralised, over worked and constantly struggle to keep the shelves stocked. Management obviously aren’t concerned as this has been the case for some time. I, like many l know, now shop in different places as we can’t rely on Sainsbury’s like we used to. Now with Argos going into stores, even more lines will be lost. With profits falling, stores are going from bad to worse.”
“Saintsbury's Braintree. Two weeks ago on a Sunday at 2.30 went to the deli counter to find it was being packed away, cooked meats were empty, hour and a half before closing. Following Sunday was 1pm this time the meat was still out but the carved ham on the was down to the bone only with tiny lumps of ham the same with the turkey it was down to the breast bone no meat left on it, when asked if they couldn't start another they replied not allowed to on Sunday. Three hours before closing time.
Top it all today Wednesday had both ham and turkey on display, I asked for four thinly carved turkey and ham to which she had go and get another assistant who said we can't carve thin slices its too difficult. When the older assistants carve they have no trouble with thin slices. She eventually tried to carve and did as reasonable job but still moaned that the slices were breaking to which my wife replied that's no problem. Were only supposed to sell whole slices to avoid waste.
Four very young assistants behind the fish, deli, dairy and meat all up one end chatting. More t training required Saintsbury's how to carve meat and customer service.”
“If an item you order is out of stock & you don’t accept their substitution, then there is no cash refund, the money goes into your Sainsbury's shopping account - I think this is OUTRAGEOUS and it will prevent me from using Sainsbury’s again”
“I visited the small Sainsbury’s in Hamlet Court Rd Southend I was so impressed my the lovely staff who was helping an elderly lady shop they were very kind and helpful to her, your staff at this store are wonderful . You don’t see this very often so that’s why l had to make a comment ❤️”
“Well once you're in its very hard to get back out again as only half the checkouts are open, that's being generous by the way. Taking Argos into their store was a good move for them as it will get people in. They are the only reason i will go back in. We used to shop every week in Sainsbury's but since, have started shopping in Morrison's where you get a much better selection and all checkouts are open. They have a much better incentive for going back in with their rewards system also.”
“Excellent customer service. Very polite and respectful delivery driver. I want to give feedback on the taste the difference Victoria sponge cake. Why do supermarket cakes insist on overdosing us with sugar? It tastes no different from any cheap shop-bought cake with its sickly sweet dry sponge and drying sinthetic vanilla. Three mouthfuls and it's in the bin. Awful.”
