I switched my gas and electricity supply from Eon to Scottish Power prior to my move in date (3 weeks before). I paid two separate direct debits and Scottish Power dealt with the switch for me - WRONG. They didn't actually bother to move my gas supply over and I was paying a direct debit to Scottish Power for the service that they were not actually providing!! in the meantime, my Eon bill was going up and up. I am in month 2 of waiting for my refund cheque and I am disgusted at the service given. Would not recommend Scottish Power to my worst enemy.

Not just the worst energy company to deal with, but the worst company to deal with EVER. Absolute shambles of a company. Billed for an outstanding balance ten months after I left, after numerous conversations with chat bots and/or overseas call centres I finally managed to agree a payment plan. Three times now they haven't collected the first payment, then write to me chasing the money. Contact them again, explain the payment plan agreed, they agree to collect. Don't collect the first payment, and it starts all over again. Would rather revert to living in a cave with a campfire than having to use these jokers again.

I got charged for gas supply for about a year and British Gas was my actually supplier. My advice? Keep away, far as you can from Scottish Power.

Awful customer service and overpriced tarriffs. They tempted me with a fixed energy deal until Dec 2019 at £123.00 per month, I paid it once, and I have been paying £200 per month ever since! The biggest bug bear is they never told me they had upped my DD and I went overdrawn. They keep telling me I am using more energy but nothing has changed in my circumstances! The customer reps are rude and unhelpful, and you have to wait for a call back, you never directly get through on the phone. I change supplier regularly, and just like British Gas, I will never go near Scottish Power again once I am free of them. It is daylight robbery. Shame on you Scottish Power.

I have never experienced worse customer service in my life. Their agents and customer service managers are all the same bad attitude. First when they want to join you cheap price when you sign in high bills and complain the managers are rude and they will not allow you to explain your problem, at the end they always right. If I could give them 0 stars I would. 1 star is far too generous.

Worse customer experience ever. Had ongoing dispute with them that ended up involving the Omsbudsman. Still couldn't get the account in order, despite dispute resolution from Omsbudsman. Far better customer service orientated suppliers coming into the market. For your own sanity, stay away from this dinosaur!

Worst customer Service I have ever had, I transferred from them in March, they gave me a refund then decided they had given me back to much so I then owed them some money, then they added to more amount onto the account, when I phoned up to ask why the lady said she couldn't see these amounts so she couldn't tell me what they where for all she knew was the amount that one on her screen. After a very long heated conversation (on my part) she said I could pay it off over the next six months, so I agreed with this, they then phoned me back a few days later, I explained to them I had a conversation with a lady who said I could pay over six months, to which that gentleman said there was no record of this conversation. So I said forget it I would pay the amount in Full, which I did. They have just phoned me again and said about the money, then he said wait a minute whilst I chack your account, came back and said sorry Madame you have paid your account. !!!! Words fail me!!!

Not even worth the one star. I had a succession of calls from 01414470577. I rang back and when someone finally picked up the phone, I was told they are the Scottish Power debt collection unit. I asked for an explanation for the "non-payment" issue they claimed to be on my account - when my account was called up and viewed, they confirmed what Scottish Power Customer Services had previously told me - there is not, and never has been, any issue with it. Apparently Scottish Power couldn't be bothered to check that before they embarked on hassling me with calls alleging a non-existent issue. And once it was accepted they were in error, did they apologise for the stress caused? No, of course not. I shall be registering a formal complaint.

Worst customer service I have ever had. Called them to amend my reading dozen of times and they could never get it right. Would still get incorrect bills. Then emailed them like another dozen of times with all the proof and numbers, honestly you could not make it any clearer, but they could still never got it right. Got fed up and started ignoring them until the new tenants moved into the property and setted up their move in numbers as they were significantly lower than what we were being charged for. We got the correct bills finally, but after another year and a half they came back to us through bpo stating we still owe them money out of nowhere when we actually paid it all correctly. Avoid at any cost.

Rang scottish power today as somebody has fraudulently tried switching my energy to them, but yet even though it was done by somebody I do not know and in THEIR name with THEIR details, I can not cancel it because I have given the wrong details to the ones that were given by this fraudster. I now and my two newborn babies have been left without energy at all for a whole day. When I did ring, and was refused ANY help, the woman on the phone was so rude and disrespectful shouting at me and telling me im a joke. Definitely leaving this on here for help to other vulnerable customers. Absolutely disgusting my phone experience today! Really really made me so angry.!!

Trying to find out why they are not taking my direct debit, got this chap who could not find out why, told me I couldn't speak to a supervisor as they are not allowed, then told I haven't given them a meter reading so couldn't get a bill even though I just received a bill, this went on for about 30min him speaking to a supervisor then trying to relay the message back, I got so fed up i said I was going to get in touch with head office, i asked for his name again, the bloody bugger hung up on me.

Unbelieveably bad customer serice; I moved to E on, Scottish Power provided an ACTUAL Bill which was an estimate, and £300 in their favour, luckily I spotted it! They then never sent me a paper bill and the next thing I get through the post is a nasty letter for non payment detailing how they will collect the debt and the extra monies it will cost me to collect it for THEIR INCOMPETANCE! This is verging on fraud in my opinion. An absolute joke, DO NOT USE SCOTTISH POWER!

This company has harassed us with threatening calls for 5 years. We have never been supplied power by this company yet they continue to send us bills and call us to chase them. We are with EDF energy and have never been customers of Scottish Power. How they got our details in the first place I will never know. I don't know how many times I need to pick up the phone from them and tell their incompetent staff the same thing. Take me off the system - it's not hard but they can't seem to manage that! I'll probably receive another call in 2 months time. It's just ridiculous. The same conversation will happen again 'yes we will take you off the system' but I've had that conversation at least 10 times already. It sounds like they are doing something dodgy. For example, if they made the same threatening call that they are making to us to a vulnerable/elderly person, that person might make a payment on the phone in error! What they are doing is fraud - sending us fake bills and threatening debt collectors. This company is incompetent and untrustworthy. They should be shut down. Avoid them like the plague.

Scottish Power are a terrible company. Their standing charges are one of the highest in the industry. I switched away as fast as I could. The final bill is less than £20. Do I have to pay their bill when I didn't use any gas or electricity?

Various issues with them in the 2 and a half years I have been a customer but since January this year when I had to chose a new tariff it has been a total nightmare. I repeatedly requested information and help to chose a new tariff because I was on a three reading meter system -day, night and heat rates- and I could not get help or advice. I ended up on a tariff that was going to be 46% higher than what I had been paying. I decided I had had enough and I wanted to switch suppliers. To do this I had to request my meter to be changed to a standard meter that other suppliers were willing to take over and I had to change my heating system. It taken me nearly 4 months to actually get to the point of almost being free from Scottish Power because of the nightmare of getting the meters changed with three cancelled appointments and then the total mishandling of my account. I've lost count of the number of phone calls i've had to make. One or two advisors tried to be helpful but generally what ever I was told on the phone just didn't happen. You can wait for hours for a call back or be on hold for hours so the customer service advisor in the Glasgow office who twice has pretended she cannot hear me and terminated the call is nothing short of a disgrace. You can hear her laughing at you and she is careful not to give her name when she answers the call. Absolutely dreadful company.

The funny thing with Scottish Power is that you as a costumer have to keep record of evrey month's consumption in order to be prepared for whenever they screw up. It is amazing How unprepared, unprofessional and unreliable they are. Too many things had gone ban with them that one comment is not enough to cover them all. Even words themselves are not powerfull enough to describe how bad the experience with them was. Even after I had switched provider Itill received an unrealistic Bill (after 15 months since i had switched) which they were unable to explain when asked how did they got to that amount. Just avoid as there is no point... Realy it does not worth it even if they were the cheapest of them all.

Horrible Horrible customer service ..waited over a year for a new meter that never came , 3 engineers came out and each one said they had the wrong type of meter and couldn't fit ??? Several complaints later and still no meter paid hundreds of pounds in credit for gas while waiting for the meter .. customer services were incredible rude and denied knowing about the complaint that had been logged several times and escalated. They then said because there was a complaint in place nobody could speak to us ???? Ended up telling them to shove it and changed companies with no regrets ... avoid ,avoid avoid

Unfortunately, 0 star is not an option here. I have been with them just for a few months and apparently, I already owe them £90 considering I also had monthly direct debit payments. So I decided to switch to another provider. I also spoke in a chat with a customer service advisor and asked them to review my bill. They offered me 20% off the bill as a kind gesture, but I did not agree and said that I wanted them to check my readings. After that, they said they will review my final bill and make a new one. They also said I will receive an email with the new final bill. Since then I never heard from them except for today, when I was charged £90. No final bill review, no email, no notification that they will charge me £90. STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP OFF COMPANY!!!!
