Bought two sofas from ScS two years ago, the ralaph collection. The member of staff persuaded us to buy the insurance at £250 assured us that it covers everything and that it lasts 5 years. We weren’t happy with the sofas they are a cheap nasty faux leather very poor quality but we kept them The faux leather peeled on the arm only slightly but we where informed that if anything goes wrong we have to get in touch straight away so the insurance is valid. They finally sent out a claims form after having to get in touch a few times to get one. Now we have received a letter in the post saying that the insurance doesn’t cover that type of damage! What did we pay £250 extra for?? Waste of money don’t let them pressure you into buying it! Go to DFS instead like us!

Delivered sofa took one look at the door no mate won't go in! But you not tryed don't care mate won't go in mate. Had conversation with shop to leave it and I'll take it in myself they came again nob of a driver said no mate after arguing they left it and myself age 64 and my neighbour age 70 took it up a flight of stairs and in my flat in 45 minutes. If you want a sofa never use SCS they are East of time with no support and lazy delivery men mine came from Coventry. The same review is going on all social media sites

SCS SURVIVAL KIT After 9 very long months SCS have finally agreed to remove my faulty £5000 sofa and refund all my money. My best tip is do yourself a favour and don't buy from them. But if you decide to don't pay cash for anything. Use a credit card or buy on their finance, you have more protection. When the furniture arrives inspect it carefully and if there is anything wrong with it make them take it away immediately. If anything goes wrong with it after delivery don't let them send their so called technicians to inspect it. They will say anything rather than admit there's a fault with it. Get your own independent report and write to them within 30 days under the Consumer Rights act to reject the furniture. They still won't take any notice of you but it really is important that you put that in writing. Then inform the credit card/ finance company that you have rejected under the Consumer Rights Act and had an independent report. They will then contact them and things will then happen. This company is the worst I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They have given us 9 months of stress and heartache and I would not wish that on anybody else.

Oh my god! What an absolute NIGHTMARE... we went in store on Boxing Day 2018, and chose a sofa marked at £395, by the end of the sale it was priced at just under £700, but we had fallen in love with it at this point and just decided to go with it. We also chose a carpet in the “sale” also promising “free delivery”. On the day staff were enthusiastic and friendly and tried to explain the delivery situation multiple times before we simply gave up and said fine, after a couple of hours in store with the understanding the cost of fitting would be taken off the carpet price but on the day we were required to pay the fitters an additional £110, and then extra for one carpet we couldn’t remove ourselves. The sofa is due for delivery mid February so after reading reviews we will have to see what that brings then. As for the carpets, they are currently being fitted, on the 25th January 2019. Initially told it would be this morning, called in the morning to suggest it would be around 1pm, finally arriving to begin work after 3pm. Our initial reactions both being “that’s not what we picked..” but with some uncertainty. On hindsight, it would have been better to do some research beforehand- Red flags should have been recognised to be honest when: -We were called required to pay an additional £40 because initial calculations were wrong. -upon official measurements being taken the calculations were wrong again, the man who came out unable to understand how the figures had been calculated and told us to go back into store and get a refund of £37, and told us they hadn’t even notified him of the additional payment -upon returning to the store, the same salespeople made eye contact and purposefully avoided any further communication. In conclusion, do your research and seriously consider if the risk is worth it.....

I went into the Drakehouse Sheffield store this morning with a view to purchasing a bedroom carpet. Having found something suitable the salesman took all the the details and presented me with the final cost. First I queried the fitting charge it was supposed to be free fitting to this he said it would be removed before I payed. Why was it three in the first place ? Next £30 for a carpet care plan which I didn't ask for, next £29 deliverery they are having a laugh almost everything they sell they have to deliver. Be very careful when you buy from this store and look very carefully at what you are being charged for.

When getting to the basket online I see £59 delivery charges so I called to query this. The lady was very rude about it, clearly she's had this conversation many times befote but instead of helping me she just slagged off other sofas providers and made me feel really small. I may have still bought the sofa as it was still a good price even with that delivery charge but definitely not after experiencing their "customer service". I just wish I'd got her name

Utter joke of a company, say you cancel then try and charge you hundreds of pounds when you need to for genuinely unavoidable reasons.

Bought a wool tartan carpet for my stairs. Fitters made an absolute mess of the fitting. Caroets coming away from the treads within 2 days. Phoned the Kilmarnock store and it was put in the hands of head office. What an absolute joke. They said i would need to have the carpets stretched. Really? Why did they not just cut them properly. Also one on the carpets on the treads was damaged. Scs are just refusing to come and uplift this pile of rubbish and refunding us . Steer clear of this unprofessional company

I knew what I wanted and had the sample book in hand. But I was ignored for ten minutes while the staff busied themselves sticking price labels on carpets. "Someone is coming.." but they never did - although they argued about who should. They have their priorities all wrong. Senior management really has to change the customer service ethos of this company.

Promised delivery b4 Xmas by salesman in Loughborough store , rang to confirm delivery date only to be told that it would be delivered in January. The salesman rang and told me that the manager would ring me to discuss this didn't happen. Had a call from the delivery company to be advised that delivery would be to a different address than requested on the paperwork. After numerous attempts to call the store without anybody answering. I visited the store to speak to the Manager was advised he wasn't in but would ring me the next day. This was over a week ago still no call. Staff seem to make promises just to get rid of you. Terrible customer service will never purchase from SCS again.

Awful company and vow never to even consider using these again. Do so at your peril! Required to pay for the carpet in full to enable booking of the fitting date which was 6 weeks away. The day of the fitting, I had to chase them numerous times for an update only to be told late in the day that the fitter has been held up and wouldn't make it. Rescheduled fitting is earliest 4 weeks time! Wouldn't be quite so bad if you didn't have to clear and remove all the old carpet yourself, therefore bare floors for a month. All over Christmas. They are quick to take your money, though delivery of goods and service is maybe not such a high priority for them. Oh, and you also have to remove all the off-cuts/waste created by the fitters once they finally turn up. It's the best lesson I've received to use local reputable businesses who actually care about the customer and want to provide a good service - avoid awful companies such as ScS, they really do not deserve your money.

After having initially ordering sofa corner power recliner in November 2017, which was faulty by DFS, i got a refund and went to SCS in May 2018, Sales staff and customer service was fantastic when they was taking my order for Destiny Manual curved Recliner and power recliner chair. £1.800 + £300 more than my original budget. Rude delivery person that did not seem to know about the sofa, who wanted to shout at me telling me it does not state on the paperwork that i resided in a flat and it would not fit in the lift as it is over 8 foot long and on one unit. I had informed at the time of purchase that I lived in a flat, as it was a recliner at both ends they detach. Delivery driver insisted it didn't being over tired as i had just spent the weekend getting flooring done and the room prepared for sofa, i said, "I tell you what if you go down to the van and you find that it is one unit and you can not get in the lift, take it back and i will get a refund. I believe when he got downstairs he found i was right and was unhappy, as when he put the sofa together, the frame at the bottom of the recliner was twisted and would not go up or down without force. SCS wanted to Repair this at cost, i decided that it needed to be replaced, due to be delivered now in September 2018. Aside from the major fault, the appearance of the sofa was lumpy, bumpy, and uneven, unsightly, cushioning and the sofa look used, worn it looked like it was secondhand. The day of delivery, there was a major burst water pipe at the base of my flats that was bringing up the mud, I called SCS to inform them of the river of muddy water surrounding the building that would make any delivery very difficult, dirty and unsafe. When I was called back and charged for delivery of the Sofa, i felt was unfair, but i had no choice but to pay. The replacement came and I was going to send it back, on the advice of the delivery crew, I called SCS Croydon, and got them to note on the system that the appearance of the sofa was still uneven, lumpy bumpy, but I had been advised by the deliverers to see if it settled down. During this conversation following call to SCS, I received a call to say that my elderly father had fallen at home and had been admitted to hospital. I had to leave straight away to head to North London, On reflection I should have got the sofa taken back immediately, They sent out upholsterer, who did not put down any of my concerns, I added my comments, he said there was nothing that could be done that is how the sofas are, I called back as I had not been contacted and was told they will send out a technichian, this was never done, When I called back a few weeks later, again not being contacted by SCS, I was told a letter had been sent out they are not responsible for the delivery of correspondences, i queried why i was not emailed or called back, SCS said they would not go into any further conversation and directed me to RetailAdr, to take my complaint to them, i made my case on 10th December 2018 was nothing to be done, RetailAdr are saying that it can take up to 90 days for pre-investigations to take place April 2019, do not respond to emails on there dashboard and the telephone number seems not to want to put you through. Since November 2017 All I want is a Sofa with a little Luxury, if this too much to ask for? My advise spend your money elee where - Aftersales customer service is very bad. :(

Where do I start five years ago we purchased a corner settee and a spinning chair, delivery went well and things were ok for a period of four months then the springs shot through the base on the settee and we Called Scs as we had the cover they came out and repaired the springs although the repair man stated this was a design fault and will happen again. He was right within 2 weeks the same happened I then entered a 18 month battle trying to resolve and get a replacement as a last resort I emailed the CEO and we were told to go to the store and pick another settee which we did. Guess what the replacement is knackerd and we have been elsewhere today to purchase a new settee DO NOT WASTE ANY OF YOUR HARD EARNT CASH ON ANY PRODUCTS FROM SCS THE QUALITY IS AWFUL AND AFTER SALES IS A JOKE HOW THEY CAN GET FIVE STARS ON JUST PILOT IS AJOKE THEY MUST OWN THAT REVIEW BUSINESS RUBBISH SETTEES BE WARNED !,,

I will never ever do business with this company again .was promised my carpet would be fitted on the 18.12.18.was fitted today 08.01.19. Because od delay was given free fitting however I had to remove my old carpets before the 18th of December. Tried ringing the store as was fob off by e.mail and could never get an answer. In the end had to go to store and was first given a date of the 9th December was changed to the 10th.after I threatened to go the store on 5th of December and tell any customers I could see not to business with scs I was then booked in for today(08.01.19) The fitter turned up today and done a good job however they are sub contractors. The managers at Croydon scs will do all they can to avoid talking to you once they have your money and leave all the issues to be dealt with by the girls on the admin desk which is not good enough. So my thoughts are admin done there best. Fitters nice fellas. Store managers absolutely shocking service. Advice take your money elsewhere.

I placed an order on the 4/07/2018 at the scs luton paying £2000 upfront 3 months later we received 1 wrong sofa out of 3 sofas we initially ordered, went into the store and spoke to there manager yasser who told me theirs not much he can do but I will have to wait till the 7/12/2018 (another 3 months) for the correct sofa to come into their depot and then arrange a delivery and then we can take it further in terms of compensation. On the 9/12/2018 I hadnt received a call to arrange a delivery so I called the store wanting to speak to yaser whose left the store so I had to speak to Chris (new manager) who told me the date of the new sofa arriving at the depot was not the 7/12/2018 it was the 17/12/2018, there customer service representative are rude and so unhelpful

Ordered a three piece sofa and two chairs. When they were delivered they felt differently. We went to the store and spoke to the assistant manager who said give it a month or two and it will relax and feel better. Bad idea to leave it. I can no longer return the sofa and lazyboy will not help. The manager is very rude and the main office refuse to speak to me either on the phone or email. Think twice before buying from scs!
