Our suite is leather and the colour is washing off literally we clean it with the leather cleaner and it washes off they sent an expert who said nothing wrong with this £4000 suite Also if we are taking medication that can make the suite fade a joke Small claims don’t need to be an expert to see this is not right even water washes the colour off child spilled his water and left a hand print ????

As we were unsure whether to replace our wooden floor, our advice from the Shirley store was seek the advice of the surveyor, this we did, who told us it would be easy to remove the wooden floor prior to fitting. Having placed the order we were advised that the fact the flooring goes under the skirting boards and fireplace , removal would likely result in damage and gaps around the edges once the carpet fitted. We returned to the store to be told tough you can’t cancel that part of the order. We are now left with the only option of fitting the carpet on top of the wooden floor, however this won’t fit under the front door which can’t be planed. So whatever we do the hall will look a mess. I am so upset and disappointed as I either waste £600 by not having the carpet fitted or have something that looks a mess.

I purchased all carpets and LVT for a 3 bedroom house through scs at cribbs causeway. Carpet was fitted not too bad by Karl all their packaging, offcuts, were dumped in the rooms. LVT not delivered on time and even tried to deliver to my old address. The latex which was put down was terrible. It wasnt level, it didn't cover all the floor, big gaps in it. Splash marks up the wall and skirting boards. The fitter must of cut his hand as blood all over the door, radiator and wall. A second fitter came out to rectify 2 weeks later and relaid the latex and also lay the LVT when it finally arrived 4 weeks after it should of .He came back to put right a few things such as lifting and edges not sealed and lifting. Apparently sealing of the edges is not part of the job. However I was not told this. Once scs had received my money it was difficult to get anything resolved. It took endless phone calls on my part and also going into store. To rectify the first fitters faults have had to have someone in to repaint hall, kitchen. Utility room, dining room, and cloakroom as with a new house if you remove latex from walls and skirting boards it takes you back to plaster or wood. I will never use scs again. If I could I would of left a review of 0 stars.

After 26 weeks of chaos just got my money back best thing that could of happened wasn't even convinced I'd get that back

Don't seem to be bothered about a poor fitting carpet don't call back when they say they will have no real control over the fitters.

very very poor customer service especially the branch in Bedford, usually managers sort out issues but when the problems are given by manager then I prefer to say nothing! I bought a couch from them and the manager told us it will be delievered within "6 weeks" I was speaking to the manager from Bedford and he was utterly rude and very unprofessional and also did not know how to actually speak with disappointed customers. After making an official complaint about the manager the manager himself was dealing with the complaint rather than any other higher professionals. Now after making the complaint, my order is now no longer a priority so instead of the 6 weeks delivery it has now gone up to 10 weeks now. I would never recommend SCS to my enemies never mind my friends.

bought a infinity leather sofa, just under 4 years old and springs are trying to come through cushions making it very uncomfortable. Contacted scs after care if you can call it that! they said they cant do anything without me paying £75 for a tech call out! then tried going through the insurance they said we had to have if we took out 4yrs credit they sent out tech and reported that it was wear and tear! so called endurance! my arse! now wont do anything about it.. Please don't waste your time and money go elsewere!!!!!!

Wrong furniture delivered, now another 12-14 wait to see if the incompetent outfit can actually make and deliver the correct furniture.avoid at all costs unless you don't mind headaches and incorrect furniture.

Please avoid this company. This company sold me 2 lazboy sofas in leather costing £2,500 which starting peeling on the headrest and piping around 6 months after purchase and cushion sagging. SCS Sent a technician round to my home and told me the peeling was due to hair oil and sagging was the cushion 'relaxing' and will not take up this issue with the manufacturer. It is now in Section 75 process with credit card company under consumer credit act 1974. I urge you not to buy their sofas; please spend your money wisely and shop elsewhere!!! This company do not even deserve 1 star, even though I have complained, the CEO sent me a letter to state peeling and sagging was a characteristic of the leather and to enjoy my new furniture; this is an insult to the consumer.

We spent nearly 3000 pound in scs at Shirley, we not happy with part of the carpet fitting, I asked for a call back from the manager, guess what couldn't be bothered just got a member of staff to call to say he couldn't help and for me to ring the fitter myself, I haven't got his number, staff all over us when we were spending, coffee offers couldn't do enough for us now I am stuck because I cant get hold of the fitter so I suppose I have got to pay again, all cash all paid in front, never again scs

After having ordered our carpets 1 month earlier, we got a call less that 24 hours before they were due to be fitted saying that they weren’t in stock and would have to be delayed by 3 weeks ! We were absolutely appalled that they could do this, apparently someone had forgotten to order them but all the staff were interested in was putting the blame onto someone else. We didn’t care about blaming anyone we just wanted it sorted! In the end we cancelled the order and went with someone else who fit our chosen carpets a week later. Overall an awful experience.

After waiting 9 weeks for our sofa and 2 chairs they finally arrived and like a few other reviews I read the sofa wouldn’t fit thro our door. The delivery man rang the store and explained the problem we were told we could pay extra for a recliner sofa which came in two parts so would fit thro the door or we could have it assembled in the bungalow both at a cost when you are buying these sofas surely the salesman should advise on sofas fitting thro normal size doors but they are just wanting your money. We are now left with two chairs and no sofa and have to wait until 18th January for the sofa to be delivered so Christmas will be ruined. Rang complaints dept and a lady rang me back to discuss problems I thought that people in that kind of job should be willing to try and sort the problem but this lady was very rude and said the onus was on us to check it would go thro the door. Will not ever buy anything from SCS again they just take your money but don’t want to help when things go wrong.

If i could give 0 I would im a normal man who works hard on poor wages , me and my wife after many years struggling wanted to do our house up .we had it plastered and painted Mrs was happy now we wanted new carpets throughout and a new suite , we went to scs Preston branch we picked carpets and a new suite called endurance .when suite came first it was faulty with scratch 6 inch long and all feet scratched and dinted , we rang scs they said it would take 26 weeks before replacement could come , in meantime carpets upstairs came 2 fitters came rough looking swearing I said please watch walls and paintwork just been done , first one ran upstairs with bag of underlay he stumbled hand print all over wall , he marked every bedroom , but that's not the best he laid carpet with a hole in it the size of a egg , second bedroom had marks all over it , I rang scs they said they will replace it , severally weeks later wnd carpet arrived fitter nice man said he wouldn't lay it as faulty , we have waited for 26 weeks 2nd suite arrived faulty feet again and arm cut 3 inches short , I've just rang scs Preston and Mike buckley senior manager to get this rubbish out of my house I want money back in meantime Mrs has been crying upset I've had several days of work waiting for these people to call out , we sat here now with floorboards and nowhere to sit so xmas ruined please please please don't give these cowboys your hard earned money hope this is helpful

After visiting SCS at least 4 times looking for 2 sofas & always ended up going back to the same 1. We eventually ended up ordering them but did find the saleman attitude rubbish because he was getting fed up of seeing us & asking questions. We ordered 1 power recliner & 1 that was not a recliner. Never once over the 4 or more visits did the salesman say that if we had a non recliner in that sofa it would not fit through a front door or any door in your house unless you have French doors or patio doors because these sofas are much bigger and do not seperate. So on delivery day delivery driver told us they would not be able to get through the front door & have we got patio doors round the back which we have. So they took it round the back through the conservatory into the dining room damaging it & that was it! Because the door going into my living room is of normal size they couldn't get through it. The delivery men did say they had this problem quite a lot. So the sofa was just left there in the middle of my dining room & I was told I would have to ring scs & pay extra to have it split into 2. The recliner did go in my living room because the backs came off but the other sofa is still in my dining room with the plastic still on. I do feel the salesmen SHOULD tell you if they do know that a sofa will not get through a standard door which they must of known with the 1 we had picked & not just be interested in making the sales

Spent £ 3200 on a three seater and a two seater in leather after 18 months the so called leather started peeling SCS not interested. complete waste of money.

If I could give it 0 starts I would, Horrible people failing company, couldn't care less attitude ....I've bought a 4 seater sofa and an arm chair plus a new carpet very quick to sell it to me then just wanted me out the shop I was given no idea of delivery days etc just that someone would ring ....they didn't I had to ring them sofas were deliverd 3 weeks before carpet one leg missing had to ring round numerous places to try get one sent still waiting for that......Carpet still not fitted was promised a call this morning from manager to give me at least a rough idea of when they may turn up but nope no call have been ringing them all day no answer absolutely disgusting in every single way.........

Four years ago we paid cash for two endurance sofas and a lounge carpet. Promise of Christmas delivery. First the carpet came and was cut too short. Then we heard that colour was out of stock. No apologies. Picked another colour SCS Stockport not bothered if we got for Christmas but thanks to the great carpet fitters we had something similar fitted. No date given for suite delivery eventually 2 days before Christmas came two sofas one the wrong colour. After countless phone calls and false promises the sofas were delivered after Easter the following year!!!!! So they were only 3 years old when a great deal of the top coating started shedding from one sofa. These sofas have had very light use as we live abroad 1/2 the year and have no pets or children . Now starting to luck like an old sofa. Surely they should last longer? At first the shop staff in Stockport were scathing. Saying I couldn't expect more! I went to the citizens advice the SCS stockport manager called them jack of all trades. My sofa is red he also said that wasn't in vogue anymore. No sorry or can we help etc. Dead arrogant receptionist who now ignores me if I go in. Eventually offers 550 quid off a new sofas. But they are completely different. For something similar I would have to stump up well over another 1300 pounds. The colour matches my lounge and the carpet would have great dents in it . SCS not concerned. Dont go there . There furniture is dispossable quality. If I could upload photos to show others I would. But I haven t even started on them yet so watch this space . Ann Buckley

Went to order a suite one minute the damage cover was £50 then in the blink of an eye the salesman slips in the quote for cover for £250.carrying on he said delivery was £59 but he would as a one time offer give us a discount of £50.Then when i said we did not want the cover the £50 was withdrawn,when i asked why as he said it was a one time offer that would almost pay for delivery he said "if you dont want the cover ,thats where the discount was coming from." These people couldnt lie straight in bed.BEWARE.

Waited twelve weeks for a sofa and two chairs from scs ordered from the Becton branch. This suite arrived on the 2nd November only to find that they had sent two electric chairs and a manual settee, all of it was ordered as electric. We have been told that we have to wait another twelve weeks for delivery of a electric settee and that the colour may be different, they have left us the manual settee to use for now, but the recliner on the left does not work, no mention of compensation, even though we paid for a five year warranty of £350, and a delivery charge of £59, and the suite was over £4000. So will not have in time for Christmas. Very strange that the customer care team can not help, and you have to telephone the branch to sort it out, which I have been phoning for days and can not get through to.

After purchasing ab endurance sofa chair and footstool. The leather is peeling off the chair. Three emails later and still no joy. Perhaps x ray might be a better choice. Poor quality terrible customer service.
