NEVER ORDER FROM SELFRIDGES. EVER. NEVER ORDER FROM SELFRIDGES. EVER. ONE ITEM WAS MISSING THE PACKAGE AND THEY REFUSE TO GIVE A REFUND. THEY MIGHT AS WELL STEAL YOUR MONEY! CUSTOMERS SHOULD HAVE HAVE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PAYING FOR MISSING ITEMS. THAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE. EVEN AFTER EMAILING AND CALLING THEM THEY REFUSE TO RESEND THE ITEM OR GIVE A REFUND. THEY STEAL FROM YOU. AVOID AT ALL COST I RATHER GIVE TO CHARITY

Having been a customer of Selfridges since 1979 and having always received good service and good quality products, when deciding where to purchase a Black Leather Biker Jacket as a Christmas gift, I automatically got on the 'interwebby' and searched the Selfridges website.Bingo, item found {cost of £345.00}, item ordered, item despatched, item received.Item too big. Needing to return said item, I contacted Selfridges Customer Services and they arranged a Courier collection for December 10th 2018.All good. The Courier duly arrived at 11.15am and collected the item in its original packaging and I awaited confirmation of safe receipt and my monies refunded so I could purchase an alternative gift. Not having heard anything from Selfridges about this return & refund, I completed the online form advising them of this and waited. On the 17th of December Selfridges sent me an email saying 'We're looking into it'.By Christmas Eve, I had still not heard from Selfridges, so telephoned them and spoke to a 'Customer Services Agent.I once again advised them of the situation and was told that whilst they could confirm that the parcel had been successfully collected from my house by Selfridges designated Courier service, they could not now find it and therefore WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY at this time. I followed Selfridges instructions regarding the return of items of value to 'the letter' and personally handed the goods to Selfridges designated agent/courier as arranged. How can I be held responsible for what happens to it and where it goes once it is no longer in my possession?.Why should I be held financially responsible and be penalised for someone else's unprofessional conduct. This item was a Christmas gift and due to it's value, one I could not afford to replace until I had received my refund. As a result of the very poor 'Customer Service' I have received, not only do I not have my money back, but the recipient of my intended gift did not get anything for Christmas. If this is the way that Selfridges treat longstanding customers then very soon there will be very few left. I ACTED IN GOOD FAITH, I EXPECT THE SAME OF SELFRIDGES.

Selfridges Just Lost Another Customer! Due to refusal to replace or refund faulty merchandise. -I purchased a bracelet for $470 -it broke in 5 different places within months of wearing it -I contacted them about replacing or returning it -they asked for pictures and gave me the run-around for weeks -they ultimately refused to take responsibility for the faulty item -I asked for contact information to supervisor to pursue this issue further which they refused to provide -I cannot believe they would ruin their reputation, not stand behind their products, and disgust a new customer over $470. I am taking ALL action to pursue this further on my own. DO NOT put yourself at risk by shopping here.

Appalled to say the least; After buying my wife a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes for Christmas, I wanted to purchase through a reputable retailer. Being a surprise, of course my wife was unable to try on the shoes, which unfortunately did not fit. Having sent the shoes back to Selfridges, which arrived back with them on the 8th January, I was subsequently contacted to say the item had been received and that I would be contacted within 5 working days. Roll on the 22nd January when I received the next email, stating that the shoes had been returned damaged?? and the item would be returned back to me!! At this point you could imagine my frustration. Especially as the shoe was tried on, on carpeted surface at home and was clear within moments that the shoes would not fit – so could clearly not be worn. After voicing my concerns regarding the query, I asked for this to be escalated to management. After battling through several emails, I eventually received an email stating that a member of management would be in touch within 48 hours…5 days ago and still nothing has prevailed and nobody has bothered to lift the phone. This begs the question, why are Christian Louboutin partnering with a retailer who provide such poor customer service and who do not follow up on their promises. I am now seeking independent legal advice to try and get my monies refunded so I can proceed to purchase my wife a Christmas present (and certainly not one from Selfridges).

What an utterly awful experience today in Selfridges, Oxford Street- Menswear department I have experienced the most upsetting and distressing customer experience ever at your store today Your outdated haughty approach at your London store is one that will certainly mean I will most defiantly be shopping with your competitors going forward. You seem to have lost your way with what good customer service is. Shame on you Selfridges, Oxford Street!!!

I returned an order on 30th Nov 2016 and returned it on the day I collected in store. I was told the refund cannot made in store as the product has to be delivered back to warehouse. Then I waited for 10 days and checked, still not received any refund yet. I called them and said the refund takes 7 working days (I used Alipay as payment method). Fine, I wait for another 7 working day still has no refund transaction yet. Called them and emailed them twice during Christmas Holiday and yesterday. I also attached the transaction history of Alipay as they requested to prove I haven't received the refund from 13th December 2016 till now. Yes,I need prove the haven't done the refund(customer services only replied as they can see from the system, it has been refunded! -BUT where? They said they have passed the information to dedicate team to sort out the problem. But I can't see any positive response from them till now to provide a service to customer. I wouldn't buy anything online from Selfridge as I couldn't guarantee the refund (they claim they have refunded:) they do not provide any help at all!

Trustpilot reviews Looks like you’re in the Netherlands. Go to the Dutch Trustpilot site Thanks for your review! selfridges Your review is pending.Read more Alistair Vaughton 13 reviews GB Rated 1 out of 5 stars Nasty little Clowns Really unsure whether I have had such a bad online shopping experience. 1. Ordered a sandpit for my sons birthday well in advance. 2. Two days before, no sign of it, I call them and they apologise, they have messed up on their system. They offer me £30 goodwill voucher while I wait. Buy another gift as an emergency pressie. 3. Get an email saying that they have cancelled the order as the item is not available 4. One week later nothing from them. I call, big apologies something is wrong with the system. We will process your refund. 5. 2 weeks later - call them again as there is no refund. Oh sorry, yes, the item was from a third party so we have to get the refund from them. WHAT? - no, my contract of sale was with Selfridges, not anyone else. You need to refund me. Manager comes on the call, apologises and tells me another £30 goodwill will be issued. 6. No goodwill payment received 7. 1.5 months later, I receive £109.99. So the £30 was NOT a goodwill payment, instead they just stole my money for 6 weeks. ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL (I shout out loud). I will never shop with these clowns again. My poor sons birthday gift ruined by a shoddy bunch of lying muppets. Date of experience: September 03, 2023

I ordered a Tom Ford £380 wallet for my husband’s Christmas present and received an empty TF box with just a price tag in it. After exchanging emails with customer services I was told they believe I received the wallet and were not going to refund the money! Be wary of making expensive online purchases from Selfridges. Their packaging people steal the goods you have already paid for and get away with it.

Long story short, I ordered a product online because two stores (London & B'ham) had no stock - a whole 18 days before Christmas. Selfridges lost my parcel before it arrived with the courier, and I had to call 10 days after ordering to find this out. Then - "We will refund your order, wait 3-5 days and then place another order" - umm, no. A manager then promised to refund my order to a voucher, but then use this voucher to raise a new order and express deliver it for my troubles. I should hear from them tomorrow - okay, great! I wake up to an email - "We were out of stock online, so you have no new order but here's a e-voucher refund (which can only be used online - not in store). Selfridges didn't have the decency to call and explain/discuss - this is a total cop out. I called again to complain, and the 3rd supervisor I spoke to started rattling T&Cs at me and showed no sign of remorse. So, end of the story - my partner is left with no Christmas present, I'm left with a voucher that I don't want to grace Selfridges with (not that my product is in stock anyway), and I receive nothing in the form of compensation. Thank you @Selfridges, you've not only ruined someone's Christmas but also lost a loyal customer and brand advocate!

Selfridges is the best place to shop when you are looking for luxury items at your convenience no doubt. But their customer service is horrendous. They are so inefficient and irresponsible they make you go hunting for your answers. I lost about £2000 because of them and since it was their mistake they make you sent dozens of emails saying, "we will get someone to look into the matter" I guess it's a standard automated response. I'd rather spend at harrods. I had no problems being their VIP member. But in selfridges the customer service is just horrible. So much for always maintaining customers satisfaction. I've watched the whole series of how selfridges values unfortunately the selfridges now lost the meaning of its value under the current management. Shame on them. Told my circle to not even bother shopping there. It may be cheaper compared to Harrods but I'd rather pay more for the service. Dont even bother to email CS. They think that they are the only company who are too busy to entertain their customers. Such a shame. Lodge 1st issue on 31st October 2018 it's now 24th December still no answers! They really need to step up. Shame!

Last week after walking off a dreadful promo job in oxford street ..tired having left Brighton at 4 am with zero sleep ...and then horrendous realisation of being signed up to ride a wobbly rickshaw around Oxford street in the heat and traffic Part of a Clinique launch ...I removed myself and sought refuge in Selfridges an oasis of luxury in middle of mayhem I had a gorgeous pastry and coffee inthe foodhall where the lovely staff let me charge my phone ..then wondered off to find the ladies loo in LGF on my way back I looked longingly at the beautiful bottles on Geurlain parfumerie ....knowing I had just lost work and money explained to the charming sales advisor my situation that I wasn't in the buying sort of mood he whisked me over to Guerlain make up section where his colleague gave me a gorgeous makeover to cheer me up ...I thenfelt ready to buy some delious macaroons and lunch...before facing Oxford street the heat and journey home ...I was so touched by the loveliness of the staff I encountered that day ...I'm originally from london and it makes me so proud to find this sort of customer service ...still exists ...thank you Selfridges 🙏💓🦄

Due to unprofessional and condescending attitude at YSL handbag concession by most staff who just stand around with hands behind back, judging and talking about there customers, then arguing with us too, also choosing who to serve (customers who spend Thousands ££££) time after time. I now go new Bond Street and as I don't think this brand at selfridges deserve custom, i don't want to go back to selfridges because of my experience . I will say rest of Selfridges has been fabulous over the years but I'm sorry, 3 bad experience in same brand is not acceptable,

I ordered a pair of Valentino shoes recently which were worn once and returned within a week and a half due to the sole lifting for a refund or replacement. I have other shoes from this designer so I am aware this should not occur especially after the first wear. This is thus a breach of the Consumer Rights Act in that they are not of satisfactory standard nor fit for purpose. Who actually purchases shoes of any cost to only wear once?! After weeks of returning via DHL I had to contact Selfridges to enquire about my return (they had simply forgot to update me!) only to be told they would not be refunding, replacing or repairing the shoes because the lifting was due to 'wear and tear'. What 'wear and tear' within a week of owning them...am I actually hearing right?! I obviously disputed this, and have since rung and emailed customer services on numerous occasions both during weekdays and weekends to be told managers are out, on leave or promised they will get back to me within set timescales to absolutely no avail! I have now requested the complaints procedure for a second time today to escalate this myself and again this is not provided. I mean we are all busy in our work life, all week I've had to leave Court when my cases are adjourned, to contact customer services in respect of this case. This is the worst customer service from any retailer I have ever experienced, and I shop a lot! This is still an ongoing case, and I will keep escalating it until it is resolved. I hope this will prevent other consumers having to go through this tokenistic ordeal!

I am APPALLED that such a well known company could offer such awful customer service. I ordered 2 bottles of Creed perfume, and the first delivery was clearly damaged. The box was leaking so I refused delivery. It had not been adequately wrapped which was why it was damaged. When I called customer services they said they would not be able to issue replacements only a refund once the items were received back at their depot. I had to reorder items to receive them in time. (I was ordering these for a wedding happening in a few days). I repaid for the same items again, and when the package arrived there was only one bottle of perfume, not two as ordered. This was also badly packed with one box of aftershave rattling around in an enormous box with no protective packaging. We were also not asked to sign for the delivery by the courier who delivered this. I have sent 8 emails and had to make 4 calls to their customer service line and insist on speaking to a manager to even get an answer that they would not be issuing a refund on the second order. The 2 orders combined were worth over £1628.00 and I only ever received £385.00 worth of goods. Selfridges have promised a refund on the first order which I have not yet received, but are refusing a refund on the missing goods from the second order, as they claim their internal investigation proved that the goods were packed in this delivery. This is tantamount to accusing me of lying!! If you look at Selfridges Group website they claim “There's nothing quite like shopping with Selfridges Group. We truly put the customer at the heart of everything we do, whether you are visiting one of our stores or shopping online, you are assured of an extraordinary and unique retail experience.” Nothing could be further from the truth!! DO NOT BUY FROM SELFRIDGES!

Appalling customer services I bought a small massager from the technology dept and when I opened it a day later found that the actual massager was not in the box. I called customer services on Good Friday to let them know and told them I will be back in London on Tuesday and that's when I will go back to the store. Firstly the seller could not even speak proper English, secondly he told me I have to wait at least 15 mins for the actual guy who sold it to me who was outside having a cigarette, thirdly when he came he said they cannot do anything about it as this has never happened to them and also why did I not come on Friday to the store (maybe I do not live in London and it was Easter so was off work for a while so there is no need for me to travel into London). I then went with him to customer services desk and they also were terrible at handling this. They did not even bother to check that I have actually called them on Good Friday to let them know. At my persistence they called customer services to check and only after that agreed to swap with one that has the actual massager in the box. I was humiliated, made to feel like a thief and they actually believed I was telling a lie. It was me against 4 people trying to convince them this has actually happened and I had a witness who was with me when I opened the sealed box only to find the product missing from it an who was ready to vouch for me. I am not sure what their selection process is for prospect sellers in there but clearly they have failed with these guys who treated me appallingly. I will never recommend this store to anyone, after all there is plenty of competition out there and many other stores with a wider range of products than Selfridges- why go through the humiliation again???? If you do buy from there please open the box to check the product is in the box.

My name is Memphis Reid a 15 yr old boy shopping at Selfridges on the 21st of July. I was in the Polo Ralph Lauren section and i was served by the most wonderful, well-mannered and co-operative young man. I thought he needed a shout out because he was very nice to me and my friend.
