I recently ordered a pair of DM (Adelaide) Henrietta Oxford shoes direct from DM's own website in their clearance sales - but they are only offering the Oxblood version in the sales. In fact the only other colour you can get direct from them (albeit full RRP price of £100/pair) are the Black ones. Through my online browsing, I found Shoes International (SI) and they're offering the DMs at £15 cheaper than full RRP! Plus they're offering the shoes in their original range of three colours (Oxblood, Black and Oak)! Because I am madly in love with the shoes, I ordered two pairs in the colour I don't already own. Having said that, I was fully prepared for SI to come back to me and say "sorry the manufacturer has stopped the Oak version, would you like to cancel it or order a different colour" etc etc etc... I put in my order on a Friday 5 August, by Monday 8 August I received an email telling me to expect delivery in 14 working days. Then yesterday Tuesday 23 August, I got an email telling me they've shipped my shoes and by 15:50 Wednesday 24 August I received delivery of both shoes!!! I am totally over the moon with the service... just BRILLIANT! I mean I have had no need to contact and communicate with them direct, but from reading all reviews I can imagine they'd be super efficient and super helpful! I would definitely be using SI again in the future and will honestly, "from bottom of my heart" kind, be recommending them to friends! Well done guys and keep up the good service! I love the personalised message in the box too! Note: (a) Chaps... despite the shoes being marketed for ladies... don't be scared, they're not too feminine and the heels are only about 1.5"! (b) If you are in between sizes (and have wide-ish feet) you ought to round it up to the next size up. In fact I originally ordered size UK6.5 when I ordered direct from DM but had to return it and re-ordered size UK7, because the shoes are a bit narrow. All in all, if you love the look of the shoes... go for it! I thoroughly recommend them and definitely recommend Shoes International!!!

When I ordered some sandals late in the year, they were only too happy to place a special order for me, despite the fact that my size is unusually small. Their delivery is very quick. The sandals are the best I have ever had.”

“Service, supply and delivery of the shoes ordered very good. Unable to review the actual shoes, pair of woman's Dr Marten's, as they are a Christmas gift for my aunty. Hope she likes them as I am not sure how I would return them as the did not arrive with any order form or any receipt.”

“I was impressed with a little hand written compliments note inside my boots box - I was surprised to get a personal touch and appreciated it. The boots arrived when expected, in perfect condition. I'm very pleased with them.”

“I was very surprised to receive a parcel from Shoes International as I thought I had purchased my Hotter shoes from Hotter Ltd. But I received a confirmation e-mail the day after ordering and the shoes themselves arrived the following morning. The shoes fitted perfectly, were beautifully packed and everything well documented. I was really very impressed and will certainly look on their website next time I need new shoes.”

“I ordered a pair of boots this time. I thought that as they were on the website, they'd be in stock, but they weren't. I received an e-mail telling me they were on order but was not told I'd have to wait for some time. When they did arrive, I think it was about six weeks. It would have been good if someone had told me to expect that much of a delay as I was left wondering if I'd ever get them. So it would be good if you could sharpen up your communications when something like this happens as I nearly bought what I wanted elsewhere, which if I'd have done that, I would have ended up returning the ones I ordered from you - then I'd have felt bad because everyone's time would have been wasted, not to mention the cost of postage.”

Dear Mrs Smith Thank you for your review. Having looked through your order I can see more than one issue which has led to this adverse experience and I can only apologise for the delays. We have been dealing with Mephisto for many years and I cannot recall us leaving a customer waiting for two weeks without even letting them know when their footwear will arrive. It would seem that there were problems with the order we placed with Mephisto which added to the delays - but we should have kept you abreast of this. Please be assured your experience is unusual.
