You’ve asked me to review my purchase. I browsed and ordered on line. But all I’ve received is an email saying you don’t have stock and either accept a refund or wait 2/3weeks.

Order was placed delivery was paid on 3-5 days good Deere advised by royal mail for Thursday on Thursday advised delivery could not be made due to insufficient delv address on checking no number or street name was included they stated it is my fault and they can not check every order while I accept this they are not Amazon dealing with countless orders daily and to send out an order with no number or street name from a lightning only business is not so good cancelled and bought elsewhere

Just a caution of warning to any professionals ordering from this company. As we all order goods ready to be installed when sparks booked in, be aware that if you do not install within 5 days and find a fault, they will have nothing to do with your claim, it has to be logged within 5 days of delivery, impossible when ordering goods throughout the duration of an office install. Worst customer service, DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Great service UNLESS something goes wrong. 2 of the 10 downlights I bought failed to work and in fact cracked 2 brand new GU 10 bulbs. When I asked for replacement lamps (worth less than GBP 10), SimpleLighting.co.uk wouldn't help resolve the issue unless I paid GBP60+ for electricians to come back and get me the batch numbers of the faulty items.

Placed order over 3 weeks ago parcel was never delivered to chosen shop to be collected. We still have no refund no product. We have been back and forth trying to get our money back with no joy. Constantly passed back and forth. They are aware we have not received the parcel but yet don’t seem to want to replace or send a refund. Worst customer service experience I have ever received.

I purchased a considerable number of lights for our new kitchen from Simple lighting. I will start by stating, I am not an electrician and given this, my level of expertise is limited. I wanted the system to work with a Google compatible dimmer system, researched them and we had the ceiling lights installed. All good, all dimming. I spoke to my electrician and looked at the lights available for the under cabinet and plinth lighting. The amount available that is compatible with a dimmer was very low and I found some systems available on the simple lighting website. I purchased drivers that I believed would work; they were even called 'Smart Home dimmable drivers' and listed compatibility with many of the smart systems on the market. On fitting, the lights did not dim at all. Upon contacting Simple lighting I was informed that the lights were incompatible with my system as it employs a mains dimmer. Unfortunately I did not realise this was the case as like I previously said I am not an electrician and did not realise there was a difference. To be fair it says this on the small print on the website, but I wish it was clearer that there was a choice and it was stated very clearly it is likely not to work with some systems. It is staggeringly unclear, from Simple lighting. I stated this to the representative of Simple lighting - now this is my problem with the company; despite this error being at least partially down to my lack of knowledge and the understanding I was unlikely to get a refund for these drivers, Simple lighting did not offer me absolutely anything to solve the problem. Not even a 1% discount as a gesture of goodwill on replacement functioning drivers, despite me spending a fortune on gear that is basically just going to have to go in the bin now. Given the lack of clarity on the website particularly when it is AIMED at 'simple' lighting I thought this was exceptionally poor and totally lacking in class. The customer service representative was also particularly smarmy, repeatedly telling me 'I should have got in touch before placing the order' again and again however due to the times I was available during the kitchen build that was near impossible due to my work situation. I would therefore not recommend this company to anyone, if you are looking for good customer service and clear, fair treatment; look elsewhere.
