“I love this service so much, it's so convenient and the customer service is awesome. It also saves me a bit of money per year by taking away the cost of a doctor's visit to renew my prescription. I will definitely continue using this service for the foreseeable future. The only reason I haven't put 5 stars is that there are two areas I think could use some improvement:
1. Promoted medicine isn't checked for compatibility with your current prescriptions before it's recommended to you by the app/website.
Ex: Ella was offered free with my insurance as an emergency contraceptive, and I ordered thinking it's always good to have one in the cabinet just in case. Thank goodness I read the paper in the medicine when it arrived- if I had taken it as an emergency contraceptive it would have reacted with my regular birth control and made both medicines less effective which would have raised the risk of pregnancy.
2. It takes longer than a normal doctor/pharmacy to replace a pack of forgotten pills. I forgot to bring a new pack on vacation (my bad), and it took about 2 weeks for the new pack to get to the hotel, at which point we were already gone. This is totally understandable as it takes time to mail to you, but can result in a lapse. It would be lovely if SimpleHealth could work out a way that prescriptions could be picked up at a regular pharmacy in case of emergency or being out of town.”
“Because simple health only offers a 1 month subscription, my insurance wouldn’t cover it as they require getting 3 months at a time. However, very convenience was super super nice. It just didn’t make sense to pay for something that I can get for free through insurance”
“Organized pretty well, I end up paying about $9 when I thought it would be free through insurance and they send in orders waaaaayyy too quickly but it’s overall a good experience.”
“SimpleHealth made it very simple and affordable to get birth control for me. I’ve been on birth control through simple health for about 6 months and it has definitely helped with me problems I had before.”
“Simple health is okay this is my first time trying it but they are good with response time and very helpful in assigning pharmacist and the right meds.”
“Great if you want affordable birth control, but the doctors you go through here can only prescribe a BC based solely on the information you provide them and isn’t the best method since they cannot also do a physical, real-time exam. I strongly recommend that you do your research and see/talk to a doctor in person first to better determine what type of birth control is best suited to your needs.”
“They informed me I may get a generic version of my birth control and I agreed to it, but then they didn't remind me that the prescription i received months later was generic and i was very confused by the change in prescription. They also sent me way too many vitamins, which wasn't really a problem for me but did mean i didn't need anything for almost 3 months.”
“Every part of this service is easy. Easy to begin the process, easy to contact customer support, easy to navigate the website. The only reason why they don't get 5 stars is because they only send one pack of bcp at a time and it just makes me too nervous about the next pack arriving on time.”
“Everything was super easy and went super fast. I got my prescription and it ended up being completely free with my insurance which was amazing. The only thing that left me slightly confused was their lack of communication. When you fill out all the info there is a section to write out questions and concerns about bc, I was hoping for a little not from the doctor to answer/acknowledge those or what is the point. They also were unclear on the insurance, they told me if it ended up being over a $20 copay they would verify with me before. Mine was free, but they never told me that, I had to dig through my order history and receipts to try and find the actual price I was paying for my birth control.”
