Ordered from this company purely as the website showed skates in stock. Ironically as soon as I had paid for the skates I received an email stating they were out of stock with a promise to keep me informed of their delivery date. Communication was zero, i chased the order on 4/5 occasions. Every time you call you get an answer machine. When you get a callback the staff are very friendly but I wanted skates not chats. Skates finally arrived, just short of one month after ordering. No apologies. And then the email arrives asking for feedback...well here it is! I'd never buy from this company again. But your skates from a rink. They can get any skate delivered in a week.

Hi there, I'm sorry about the delay you have experienced here. Sometimes stock levels to change suddenly, and upon alerting you of the stock issue, we offered a refund if you would not be happy to wait the time for the skates. Apologies once again. We hope you enjoy the skates now you have received them.

Sir I brought my grandson a MADD Gear MGP VX5 Extreme Scooter of you on the 27/10/15 it was Delivered with a very very damaged box and as this was his Christmas present I was not very happy at all but you gave me a £5 discount but when my grandson opened his present at Christmas we thought it looked alright but it was definitely not for a start the handlebar does not tighten up at all and the front wheel is out of line and nothing can be done to put these things right we told our grandson oh it's ok just use it which he tried but no luck and now it just sits there as it can not be used at all it cost me £229.95 which to me is a lot of money when I have saved such a long time to get him this and now all it does is just sit there My order no was 863553 I do hope you can help in some way as my grandson is so upset by all of this my name is Mrs Anita Puddy Address is 2 Jerounds Harlow Essex CM19 4HE Thank you

Hi there, I would firstly like to apologise for the hassle caused here! I can see that £5 was refunded for the damaged box, put through by my colleague on 29th October. However, we have no records of any contact made since ordering. Please email us at sales@skates.co.uk with some images of the clamp being loose, and we'll be able to go from there. Please be aware that, unfortunately, due to no contact being made until now, we may not be able to cover this under warranty, but we are more than happy to have a look and see if we can. I should of got my order on the the 6 of Jan as it was my son birthday on the 7 of Jan and the stcooter did not come untel the 7 so he at to have it after school wot I was not happy bout because when you have ordered something to come the day before his birthday and it don't come it not very nice because it should of bin here on the 6 so he had it to get up to but at to wait untel after school to have it

Ordered a scooter for my son for Xmas, best price quick delivery wrapped it up opened on Xmas day, couple of days later got it out to assemble and completely wrong scooter had been sent! No invoice so had to email to get return notice to print off, had to go to the shops to buy brown paper to wrap back up, go to a click & collect to drop off! So in short i should have paid couple of pound extra and got it from Amazon as out of pocket and son not been able to go on his Xmas present yet!

Decent service, but the returns policy is crap - two weeks is terrible, and four weeks for Christmas returns only applying if you checked the returns policy beforehand and so knew to add a comment, on the off chance the gift wasn't right, is unfair.

Maybe I was a bit of a numpty but I seemed to have ordered a board without the wheels, so I had to return it and get one from Argos that fitted the budget! My mistake.....

Good website, good prices, good ordering process but unreliable delivery and very slow reponse to email enquiries. I can't comment on the quality of goods because my skates have still not arrived. I was expecting next day delivery 6 days ago. I sent two emails to the customer services and had no response so far. I would recommend selecting a delivery option that does not involve Yodel if you have a choice on ordering I wish I had!

the delivery company you use is rubbish and it is impossible to get hold of a human being as a result my child will now not have one of his xmas presents

Hi Sabrina. Please accept our apologies for this delay! Our couriers have an incredibly high number of parcels over the Christmas period, but we do try to resolve every mishap as quickly as possible. Have you now received your order?

Initially delivery was acceptable and on time , until i checked the box and found some items missing, got in touch through e-mail and they sent the items missing to me , or so i thought, there was still some items missing so got in touch again through e-mail and was told in a reply that i would receive missing items within 48 hrs , which i did not , sent more e-mails , got no reply , rang up and got through to answering machine ,with which i left messages to no avail , rang up again and finally spoke to a human who wasnt much help , saying they would e-mail me details and verification of me being in contact , still nothing , left two more messages with no replys , but a couple of days later the missing items got delivered , very poor customer service , totally unacceptable in my view.

Not impressed with my first purchase. I ordered 3 scooter parts for my son's custom scooter build. The forks arrived damaged and with a part missing. The grip tape arrived all screwed up and damaged due to poor packing. Tried at least 10 times to call Skates, nobody picked up. Sent emails left a voicemail and after a couple of days I got a call back and the issue was resolved. The lady I spoke to in fairness was apologetic and very helpful but the overall experience was below expectations.

Can't comment as have not received my parcel !!! And it was a birthday present that was meant for my daughter on Sunday ! So she is still waiting, will never use collect + again.

I was advised to buy one size up but they were too big so i had to return them for the actual size. One of the wheels didn't fit correctly and I was promised a new set in the post but they didn't arrive. Apart from that the shoes are of good quality and the staff very pleasant and polite.

The delivery was fast but the bar wrap was a waste if money all it did was crease when I put it on and wouldn't stick down

The wrong items were sent to me. I messaged immediately and requested the correct item to be dispatched as it was for a birthday present, one week later and I still haven't received the replacement. I am not happy as they also offer a next day delivery service, yet failed to post out my order using this when I expressed that it was urgently needed.

Order didn't turn up on the specified day so had to call 3 days later to chase it up. Problem with the order which couldn't be explained but they did send the goods out for next day delivery. Once received pert of the order was incomplete so I had to call again to explain and get the missing items sent. They then sent them for delivery a couple of days later. Good products, dealt with problems ok but disappointed problems occurred in the first place which led to me chasing them twice leaving messages for a call back as they don't answer their phone.
