“Dishonest business. Should be shut. They are cheating people and harming their health by selling expired products. We ordered 2 packs Pillsbury Atta(wheat flour) in Jan 2020 and both packs have expiry date of July 2019. They are selling eatables/edibles that have expired over 6 months ago NOW. Upon querying we were blatantly told that the website shows the BB date at Jul 2019. Now who in their right minds would 1. Expect that a store sells expired foodstuffs to their customers? 2. Know that BB means Best before end date? They have refused refund and we will be approaching an appropriate consumer forum with evidence of the sale of the expired products. I hope they are shut down by the authorities for duping customers and for playing with the health of their consumers by selling expired edible stuff.”

“Extremely disappointed with Spices of India customer service. I have used them in the past with no complaints but service have really deteriorated. I've been chasing up a failed delivery for over 10 days. There's no way to speak to anyone on the phone number provided and have had no response via the email provided either. Does anyone know how to claim refund for payment over credit card?”

“Order placed in July 19 was short on certain items on delivery, but still charged, and promised a refund! After sending approx 15 emails.... still no refund!! This was just one of the arsey replies I received. ( screenshot of email below) AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY”

“Avoid this company, used to be really good but now not, goods not delivered and says refund on invoice but no refund. Incorrect goods and do nothing. Communication difficult with no phone and e-mail they answer about 1 in 10. When you do get an answer they are extremely rude and imply one should not complain, now going through paypal to try and get money back.”

“I agree they are not good at communication - no phone number and no email address, and no response to my three on-line queries. However, allowing for a holiday period over Christmas, and a reasonably common return to work date of 6 January, I cannot complain. I received a delivery notification on 6 January, and the goods, just as ordered, on 7 January. If they had just told me they were on holiday over Christmas, or even acknowledged my messages, I would have had no complaints.”

“Avoid this company. They promised a refund for a failed delivery and didn't pay up. For weeks my numerous emails regarding their non payment have been totally ignored. I raised a dispute via PayPal and luckily they are going to refund me. Stay Clear of “Spicesofindia.co.uk””

“This company is a scam. They took my money and refused to deliver the goods. I had to appeal to PayPal to get my money back. Absolute scum.”

“Don’t buy anything from these conmen they are thieves I placed an order in September still no goods no refund no reply to about 20 emails and can only listen to a female robot on the phone discus ting I think I need to go to the address for a refund and I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to deelwith these jokers best to buy from red rickshaw or spicewalla”

“I had an order sent to me without them paying the postage - despite me paying £4.95 p&p - and had to collect the parcel from the post office and pay the fine. I have emailed several times without reply, I have tried to phone but there is only a message on the phone asking you to go to the website. I cannot understand how a company with such poor customer relations can continue to operate. I had been buying from them for several years but will now buy my spices from elsewhere and would advise other customers to do likewise”

“1 star is two good do not buy from this company they will not answer the phone or email what arrived for me was so out of date I would not have given it to my worst enemy will try and get my money back through PayPal DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY”

“Useless company sent out wok that was bent but box undamaged so must have been like that before packing bag of spices split open, another order sent smaller wok but charged for larger one, no customer service, don't answer there phone, don't answer face book messages and don't reply to 7 emails, got refund through PayPal in the end don't buy from this place is my advice”

“Ordered 6 items from this company and waited an eternity for them to arrive. Even worse, when the order arrives 3 items were wrong! I have written to them 3 times now with varying degrees of urgency but I haven't even received acknowledgement of my emails or from their online contact form. They are truly shocking and should not be trading as the supposed first page search results supplier. Google should not show their ad and should rank them far lower.”

“Order did not arrive, sent email, rude response from Sarah saying “check your tracking”, I did, tracking was blank so that obviously didn’t work then? Ordered balti dishes in February to the value of £46.90, as I haven’t received them or a satisfactory or helpful response from the company, can only deduce they have stolen my money.”
