“Nice course. Gives you a good training about what to expect when dealing with passengers during an emergency. For sure much cheaper than standard courses you need to attend in person. However, I believe that the crowd and crisis courses are very similar to each other, some parts have actually exactly the same videos and slides. As many cruise companies require both I don’t see why not to put the two courses together and reduce the price. In the description it says about 4h to complete the training but honestly 1h to complete each course is more than enough.”

Hello Alice, Thank you for your comment, we really appreciate it! You are correct that there is overlap between the Crowd and Crisis Management courses. The IMO model courses which we use as guideline for our courses share the same topics for some parts. Our Crowd Management course is already a combination as it includes additional safety training (STCW Regulation V/2 (6), A-V/2 (2)). Crisis Management depends much of the duties on board that one has been assigned to in case of an emergency. And last but not least, the time frames on our website are based on average. One will learn fast, another needs more time, some people have limited knowledge of the English language and so on. Hope this clarifies and thank for for using STCW.online!

“The whole process was really easy, from booking the course to accessing the presentations and tests. I would only point out that some of the questions on the assessments were not talked about during the presentations.”

“Definitely 5 out 5 but i'll give 4.5. REASON: I completed my HACCP course but in your systems it shows I never completed the course. It is still on 0%. Great service though. Thank you.”
