Was mis-sold a holiday last year for a two week holiday in a “newly renovated hotel” in Turkey. It turns out we stayed in a grubby part of the hotel grounds which had NOT been subject to renovation like the main hotel. I complained to SunMaster whilst in resort and also compiled a lengthy email on our return (there were multiple issues,) only to be offered a £10 discretionary refund as compensation. Will NEVER use again. What’s worse is the hotel we stayed in have shown on social media the area we stayed in last year now newly renovated which they have undertaken this year, during the COVID pandemic as they’ve been closed! Avoid at all costs.

I had a all inclusive holiday package for x4 passengers 30th March costing over £1800 psi in full holiday was cancelled by sunmaster cause of coronavirus, they said my money is fully protected and safe when booking, but when I tried to ask for a full refund the company tried forcing me to accept a voucher which I stated I do not accept even had the audacity to try process one which I refused numerous of times, anyway I have contacted the airline they said no issue in refunding the flight tickets but will have to be sunmaster who pays me but they are saying a load of rubbish that it will take time to get money from the flights, all In all I have contacted the travel insurance they say it’s the travel agents responsibility to refund and it’s been over 8weeks now waiting for a refund which I will now take further legal action and go through my credit card company Top tip you can claim through the claims from your credit card but this must be done within 120days of the payment taken Also they are trying to prolong your payment for 6months because they are waiting on abta to ask the government if they can refuse to pay us because of coronvirus so don’t wait on this and claim now

We had an holiday booked for Jamaica on the 19th of April me and my partner the last payment was due on the 22nd of March we rang the company to see if we could extend the last payments due to the ongoing situation we rang and was told the 29th of March as an extension to the last payment after each not being displayed on manage booking we rang back again and was told the 27th of March after 24 hours and still seeing did not appear on manage booking we rang again to be told old it would only be to the 25th of March they are clearly doing this to suit their policies in order to try their best not to have to pay me back and to get the rest of the payment out of me on £1,400 down and they want £1,600 for holiday that probably won't go ahead and the manager clearly said pay the rest of the holiday and if you don't go we will give you a voucher so I'll give you money you give me a voucher not just that I have been promised all the way through this holiday with recorded footage of sunmasters clearly saying on numerous occasions that we would be refunded I'm not one to lie down and take it so let the war begin it's on

This holiday company is awful the worst we have ever booked with. We booked an all inclusive holiday with Sunmaster to Bulgaria (Victoria palace, sunny beach) bearing in mind we have been travelling abroad for 30 years and have never complained before on this occasion we felt we had to. The holiday was a disaster. The hotel room was filthy, live wires where there should have been a plug, filthy bathrooms, no shower door, the maids did not clean the rooms only emptied the bins, the decor was shocking, the food was awful, the staff were rude, the bed looked like someone had been stabbed on it, the music they were playing by the pool and bars was gangster rap and highly offensive. We complained repeatedly but nothing happened. This holiday was sold as a 5 star holiday When we got home we complained to Sunmaster and were basically called liars and they wouldn’t do anything at all about it. There was so much more I could complain about. Shocking company. D Thomas

Booked and was quoted £974. They decided that a flight was no longer available and quoted another £150 each at the last minute. This was after struggling to get in contact, by phone, for about half hour. Woman was very defensive when I said that I didn't want to try another airport or day. Do not recommend!!

I was looking for a holiday in Cyprus. Having checked out prices and availability at my preferred Hotel, with my usual Holiday company, I decided to check out Sunmaster just as a comparison. I went through the site, booked for one person, one room and was a little perturbed to find that I could only get a private transfer at £104, when the other company was offering a shuttle at a fraction of the cost. But at the checkout there was a massive discount on the accommodation, which brought the price down. I saved the details on an email to myself to think about it. I got a phone call from one of their representatives the following morning, only to find that the price had shot up. I was going to have to pay a single supplement, but as I had done the entire web search as i person, single occupancy, I was taken aback. Then I queried the transfer cost, I was told that the road to the hotel wouldn't be suitable for a coach and my other holiday company would drop me at the end of the road and I would have to walk with my bag/s to the Hotel. Because they use a budget airline, my hold bag would cost £55. They offered different durations to 'save a bit of money', but by the end of the conversation I was well and truly confused. I didn't book with them, as their prices were not as competitive as they make out. I think if you aren't careful, your budget holiday could cost more in the long run with the extras they put in.

Sunmaster recommended a hotel in Spain that was known to have drug dealers outside confirmed by local police there were ongoing issues. Asked them to change hotel when made aware and sunmaster said it was my fault for not researching the hotel when there own staff recommended it and charged an admin fee of £100.

I tried to book Mexico as a single traveller and was quoted a really good price. I was unable to pay the deposit online but received an email and then someone rang me. I was told that the room wasn’t available but they’d try another supplier. The price then went up by over £400.. shocking service. First and last time I try use them

First time booking a holiday with Sunmasters and definitely the last time! This was the worst holiday experience in my life! Me and my girlfriend went to Turkey and upon arrival we were relocated to a hotel miles away from the beach and area we had booked to stay in! Then after many phone calls to the agents we were told there was nothing they could do about it. We found out this also happened to another couple who we relocated to the same hotel. This resulted in many added costs such as taxis to and from the beach/town and also our phone bills were through the roof with the amount of time we were put on hold and also the amount of times we had to call back after being told they would call us back! Even after send a formal complaint they have not offered any resolution and have completely ruined our yearly holiday experience. Hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else and I wouldn’t wish an experience like this on my worst enemy! After going on to read more into the issue there have been other reported issues and reports that the hotel we were originally supposed to stay in has been used as a brothel. This whole experience is an outrage and there is nothing we have been able to do about it as Sunmasters have not offered to resolve the issue by any means.

For years I have separately booked my holidays on Internet. I decided to book on sunmaster for easyness this time.NOT SO!! booking gemelos 22 apartments which we have stayed many times and knowing that office closes at 4 pm .we had a late flight would need to pick keys up from near by property. I had to request this information which I received but no instructions how to find this property. Sunmaster also arranged our transport from airport LOVELY BUS.but was busy and had loud music played buy passengers. I expected the driver to ask them to reduce or put off sound. Other passengers had to listen to this for approx 1hour 30 mins.bus journey(not everybody's sounds of music). getting dropped off bus then found out key pick up was approx mile to walk with cases. WHY SUNMASTER DIDN'T ORGANIS bus to drop us of there as it past it.i don't know this is now 11.30ish at night. Which meant anything we required we had to walk up this long road to our!! reception .NOT IDEAL !!. We accidentally closed the door of apartment with the keys left in the inside of door. OOPS!! (We were on holiday these simple things happen). SO !!had to walk the mile up the road to reception..twice as the replacement key didn't open the door as key in back of door. They sent a man to open the door and CHARGED €50 for a 5minute job...if we had lost the key its understandable to pay something for the replacement. There for a week and had no cleaner. Had no information about anything .unless we walk the MILE to reception. Pick up was not until 6pm .understandably vacated the apartment at 10am. Which ment another MILE walk to hand in keys which left us unable to get in and out of pool area which is locked until pick up time.could leave cases at reception but would have to collect .then walk the mile to be at pick up place for bus . AS I SAID STAYED HERE MANY TIMES NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. SO I WILL GO BACK TO ARRANGING HOLIDAY MYSELF AGAIN AND WILL PROBABLY SAVE A LITTLE TOO.

First time for me try to book a holiday without a travel agent, I would like too say the experience was easy. However when trying to book the holiday last Sunday evening around 8pm, I was told that he would call back ASAP has he was dealing with another booking, I thought it was a bit strange So I gave him my number. And guess what no return call that evening or any evening. Total waste of space. They are obviously are that well established that they can afford to lose £1780 . But they did me a favour got the same holiday with booking .com £125 cheaper. So give SUN MASTER a miss booking.com much better

Took my money on a Sunday evening then told me the deal was no longer available and that I would receive a call back in the morning. They could not find me any alternative so I requested a refund. Time is of the essence as I only had 2 weeks to find something....as of yet still waiting 4 days later for my money back and cannot book another trip until they do....they do not know what they are doing, they cannot answer a question without being agitated, and shout over you.

Took £2000 of our money , but didn’t book our rooms ! Was told a refund would be sent straight away and would be in the account within 2 days . A week later still waiting for a refund . Numerous emails sent was told the money had been refunded and blamed our bank . Today was told it has just been authorised and would take up to 7 working days . Our holiday is in 2 weeks . Now blocked from sending emails and the phone lines are down again ! Would not use this company ever
