I have no way of rating until the chairs arrive - they are sitting in another city waiting for a bigger load to bring to our rural town. The seat material color samples arrived as promised. The delivery method is unusual - tailgate only. I am 72 years old and not sure why the delivery man can't at least set the boxes on ground. Seems out of alignment with a good service. And the terms did not allow for damage during shipment to be taken care of by shipper??

Dear Hedi. Thank you for your review. You placed your order on 10/1 for custom bar stools - the order was promptly shipped on 10/16. The delivery method is not unusual - commercial furniture is shipped via commercial trucks and/or trailers, as explained in our shipping policy. We provide all of our customers an option to request a LIFT GATE which lowers the pallet from the truck to the ground. This option is explicitly listed as a choice for an extra charge. As you mentioned, you are located in a rural area and, thus, it takes time to arrange logistics to get to you for the last mile leg of your delivery. ESTES is a reputable delivery company which indicated on their portal that your delivery will be made around 10/30. We do hope you enjoy your furniture. Regards, Superior Seating Sales

Communication was severely lacking. Only heard from u for a review after the order shipped but got no communication as to how to track or when shipment was arriving. Still waiting to see how stools look. Will give review if you like once I get the product.

HI, Susan Thanks for taking the time to write this review. The order was placed online on August 10th. We do not see any previous communication with our sales team via a quote request nor other channels so it was a direct online order. The order was for CUSTOM fully upholstered bar stools. We shipped the order on August 28 and provided you the shipping details via email, similar communication as your order confirmation. The email contained the shipping details, including the shipper, date of shipment and tracking number. In addition, when you contacted us via email on August 21 for an update, we responded the same day, indicating that your order would be shipping in the next couple of weeks and that our custom orders have a 3-4 week lead time. We always welcome reviews from our customers that help us improve our customers’ experience. However, we felt that this review left out some important, factual information which may be helpful to other potential customers.

The shipment of chairs arrived with 2 hours warning on Saturday night, 4/11/24, on a semi. No lift gate and nowhere to park the rig. No tracking # was ever sent and no choice but to accept the delivery. As a result we off loaded the chairs and put them in storage until we can properly unpack them, inspect them, and put them in the restaurant. Very disappointed in lack of communication from carrier and makes me question if I will order from you again. I received emails from Superior stating that a tracking # would be issued. The driver helped us unload the chairs and he saved the day.

Dear Barry Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that your experience was less than satisfactory. On May 2 we contacted you via phone to let you know our truck is getting ready to leave our NJ warehouse.. On May 8, you received an email from us saying that your order shipped via TQL – direct tractor trailer. Your freight rate per your quote and order was tailgate delivery and no Lift Gate was requested. Tractor trailers do not have Lift gates. The 30 bar stools were shrink wrapped in bundles of 2 (15 bundles) for ease of unloading. Normally, the dispatcher from TQL and or the driver would contact the customer to coordinate delivery time frame – We are sorry if that did not happen and the trailer just showed up on Saturday night. We were told the chairs would ship out (already weeks late) and they never did, told again they would ship then still another week went by until we finally received a tracking number and few days later they arrived. Paid for and ordered end of January, arrived April 15 ish..

My sales contact, Candie, was very quick to respond to emails. I however was very frrustrated by the lack of communication regarding the shipping date, and keeping the 2-3 week arrival time that was promised for a restaurant opening.
