Purchased four packets of seed tapes. Sown three times and results are, so far , two carrots and six radishes. No beetroots or parsnips. Total waste of money at £2.99 a packet. Contacted Sutton’s by email and absolutely no response. Will not be buying Sutton Seeds again. Very disappointed.

Need to do something about postage/packaging/delivery! Two orders now received with plants broken and completely damaged beyond saving. Also say “garden ready” but are tiny and still obviously too young to withstand postage.

Terrible service from Suttons I ordered "Best Value Perennial Collection" on 28th April this year and was told they would be dispatched and with me within 24 hours. After various emails(always at MY instigation and the last one resulting in an **Auto Acknowledgment** 10 days ago and never responded to properly ) promising " Product 200854 Best Value Perennial Collection Expected Dispatch Date Updated From 28/04/2021 To 07/05/2021" I eventually rang them today 22nd June and was told that there had been a "crop failure" with that product. Agreed to refund my payment through paypal. Absolutely terrible service and communication. definitely do NOT recommend

Absolutely awful customer service. The wrong items were sent to me. I have been in contact via email with Suttons and they typically respond every 7 or so days, always to tell me that they sent what I had ordered despite the invoice saying otherwise. I will now be claiming my £99.98 back through my credit card company (hopefully).

How I wish I had read these reviews before ordering...... 2nd April 3 Orders placed - Tumbling Toms arrived as expected however the expected date for Begonias passed with no communication 28th May I sent email asking for update 2nd June received email advising there is a delay and the plants will be sent in two batches with at least a week apart. I emailed same day saying this was unacceptable as the plants were being mixed and requested order for both be cancelled 4th June Your Refund has been Processed - this was for only one pack of Begonias 5th June I emailed explaining both orders were to be cancelled 7th June email receied Your Suttons Order Has Been Despatched 8th June I emailed saying do not send 9th June spoke to xxxxxxx in customer service department who advised nothing had been despatched, both orders had been cancelled and refund for both orders has been processed 12th June - pack of Begonias delivered, the internal box was so damaged and wet impossible to work out which ones they were! 12th June - emailed again and to date no response and no refund My advice is go to a garden centre

Personal recommendation - DON'T ORDER PARCELS FROM SUTTONS. Ordered a yuzu tree on the 21st February 2021. Was advised that the estimated delivery date for my plant would be April 8th 2021. The date came and went with no delivery. Chased delivery in early May and was advised it would be 7-10 days. Parcel was a no show. Chased again as they are clearly unable to deliver and asked for a refund. Response was "we are unable to offer you a refund as your order has been processed". No delivery notification and no date given for delivery. Mid June - parcel still is not delivered. I am still being declined a refund as my order is "processed" - except that their own terms and conditions as of the 17th June 2021 state the following: "Orders for perishable and personalised goods may be cancelled up to the point of delivery but not once delivery has been made." Plants = perishable goods. It appears (theory!!) that Suttons are attempting to delay giving refunds and then declining said refunds, based on the fact that they have delivered a perishable good. Appalling. Will never order from them again. Will continue chasing for a refund.

Terrible customer service. Ordered some perennial plug plants in April, original delivery was 7th May. Then they changed to 11th June, this came and went and heard nothing and after emailing them and waiting 5 days for a reply they now say 12th July!

All plug plants or missing or dead waited over 1 month for plants sold as ready for dispatch. The company has let me down twice, I should have learned my lesson on first order. Never again

Total disaster I will never place an order with this company again I placed order on 9/05/2021 and arrived on 11/6/2021 plants all dead some didn’t even have plants in the seed plugs I paid £8.49 for and I never got the rest of my order either so waiting on a full refund. If not I will take this up with PayPal and send them all the pics and let them deal with it. In future I will go back to Farmer Gracie they are the best should have stuck with what I know,

Tiny Tim tomato grew to 3 inches and stagnated so produced no trusses. Wild blueberry costing £3-99 failed to germinate. Description stated 50 seeds but the pack contained what looked like specks of black dust so its hardly surprising the seeds failed. Atal leeks sowed the entire pack and 7 seeds germinated. All in all a veryunsatisfactory experience so I won't be ordering from Sottons again.

Suttons have been slower than usual delivering this summer. However goods are in good healthy condition when delivered. I had one order which was not up to par. I wrote to Suttons explaining what had happened. They apologised and gave me a full refund. Thankyou

Suttons are an absolute disaster every day I receive an email with offers that they don't seem able to fulfil and after having an account with them for a number of years I now can't access the account. Hardy geranium sanguineum ordered in February dispatch date kept being put back until I cancelled last week. Lobelia ordered in May supposed to be 48 hour dispatch was told being 'picked' when I called last week have now received new order email for a different lobelia. Rang customer services today and eventually found out what I'd guessed they have changed the order because they have sold out of the plants I ordered. Have cancelled order and hope to get my money back. Can't blame the virus as other companys are still providing a good service, avoid this company as there are plenty of other much more reliable suppliers.

Order placed 30th April. 15th June now and still no sign of despatch. When I email I get an automatic reply saying they will respond in 10 days. I asked for a cancellation and got a quick reply saying I would have the plants by the end of the week. That was two weeks ago... Again have asked to cancel. Also I am receiving an absurd number of emails offering various deals. Why on earth would I order again when they can't complete this one order.

Placed order 31st may for 2 pack of seeds and a small potted plant, taking advantage of their ' free delivery ' offer. Despite repeated attempts at contact ,to find out why my order hasn't materialised , I've neither heard from them , nor received my order . Too late to germinate the seeds now . Absolutely appalling customer service . I shall now attempt to cancel and ask for a refund . Given the lousy reviews , all over the internet , I won't be holding my breath.

Awful awful company and service. Taken 3 lots of payments for the same order. Called and mailed them 5/6 times now with all details in the last 2 weeks. In the last call spoke to Kristy who promised a full refund. Have yet to see this. Avoid!

I bought a packet of Runner bean trio mixed packet code 19 97 57, it produced out of twenty seeds, three useful plants, the rest rotted. This was in pots in a greenhouse. I agree Sutton's never again.

Plants ordered May 11th. Despatched June 2nd. Arrived June 7th. dead or dying no chance of saving. No response to emails. Claimed refund through PayPal thank you PayPal. Never again Sutton's.

Plants took 14 days after despatch to arrive by which stage they were dead. I have contacted customer service three times but have not received a response. Will not use again.
