Awful awful company and service. Taken 3 lots of payments for the same order. Called and mailed them 5/6 times now with all details in the last 2 weeks. In the last call spoke to Kristy who promised a full refund. Have yet to see this. Avoid!

I bought a packet of Runner bean trio mixed packet code 19 97 57, it produced out of twenty seeds, three useful plants, the rest rotted. This was in pots in a greenhouse. I agree Sutton's never again.

Plants ordered May 11th. Despatched June 2nd. Arrived June 7th. dead or dying no chance of saving. No response to emails. Claimed refund through PayPal thank you PayPal. Never again Sutton's.

Plants took 14 days after despatch to arrive by which stage they were dead. I have contacted customer service three times but have not received a response. Will not use again.

I had 4 lots of plugs, the first 3 arrived “okay” few dead but to expected coming by Hermes. I then waited nearly 4 weeks for a lucky dip that arrived dead, broken and to be honest looked like a very unlucky dip. Sent 2 emails, it’s only been 9 days since the first one, maybe it’s my turn tomorrow?

My last purchase was during early covid lock-down - there was a delay in despatch and this was understandable. On Friday I placed an order for two items with despatch listed as within 72 hrs. During the early hours today I received a notice saying despatch would be delayed by a week but this couldn't be guaranteed. I called to cancel my order as the plants were for summer hanging baskets! The customer service rep was fine as was call waiting time. However a 14 day waiting time for refund is unacceptable when you have not yet processed the order. Your processes are flawed as I now recall that delivery times has always been an issue with you... however previous orders were not time critical so I didn't question or complain. You have removed order tracking from your website and I don't even have an account number after buying from you for several years now. Stop over promising! Products that arrive where there is no urgency are great, however you've failed to meet your delivery times too many times now for this to be a glitch or a pandemic issue!

Ordered 10 Geranium from catalogue which looked good if expensive at £10 for delivery mid Apr to mid May. 2 email s to say delays which were unacceptable so e mail to cancel order and refund. Auto reply but no contact since. Then advised plants despatched rang Mr Senior Person who stated I should return plants to courier on arrival. Did he expect me to stay at home for 5 days. Package arrived after 7 days in transit with plants dried and wilting. Now in compost and unlikely to hear anything more. Luckily earlier passed Sainsbury Local and purchased 9 excellent plants for £3. What a shame I did not read these reviews.

Deliver was a month late and the plants were dry, dead and broken on arrival. Two separate deliveries, so not a one off. Have emailed, no response or even acknowledgement of receipt.

I ordered the best value perennial collection on 27/4/21 as advertised in the MSE email (Martin Lewis). I received 2 emails notifying me of delays in dispatch. When the date had passed I didn't hear anything else from them so I checked my account only to find it say that I have no previous orders!! They took the money on 30/4/21. I have rang the customer service number but it is never answered and my email remains unanswered too. This is the first and last time I will deal with them. I contacted Sainsbury's Bank Credit Card and they have refunded me the money so thank you to them.

Ordered the MSE offer for £20 odd for about 70 plug plants, what eventually arrived was an absolute joke!! Teeny tiny plugs, so the whole 70 odd plants fit into an A4 card wallet that gets pushed through the letterbox! If that wasn't bad enough (they'd have to survive years to be big enough to flower!) when the wallet was opened the plants were slimey and rotten or completely dried out. What company sends such tiny plugs in the post over a 7 day delivery (during hot weather) thinking the customer will receive a quality product at the end?! Complete waste of a company, all the plugs are in the bin and I imagine, judging by the reviews I won't get the refund I requested! Steer clear!

Such a disappointment this year. My recent plants arriving late, poor condition, badly damaged packaging , many have had to be thrown away. The ridiculous 9 days to reply for email is useless - mine took 12 days! Bombarded with email offers every day- but poor customer service for complaints as obviously cannot cope with demand.

Please, please will someone close this company down and stop them from advertising. Two hundred years of reputation down the drain in one season. Who is in charge of this fiasco? The amount of money they owe dissatisfied customers alone will bankrupt them. However, in the unlikely even of getting through to a customer advisor, please treat them with courtesy. It's the men at the top who needs to hear your rants about being ripped off. Please step forward and make a public statement - it's the least you can do!

An absolute joke of a company. Offered a ‘deal’ via MoneySavingExpert of 70 plants for under £20. Took over an hour to complete the purchase as their website melted down. Was charged FOUR times, which took weeks and endless time and energy to resolve. Plants were ‘delayed’ and arrived months later in terrible condition, nearly all dead or dying. Suttons do not respond, even within the arbitrary ‘9 days’ they have decided is a good length of time. Just avoid at all costs!

My long awaited plant plugs arrived today, due for despatch on 14/05/21, and tbh wish they hadn't bothered, I've never seen such a tatty selection of dead, half dead and rotting plants. The only thing I have had is a deluge of emails from Suttons trying to sell me more plants....they have to be kidding! I've attached photos of the plants as they arrived this morning.

Ordered grafted tomato plants on 7th March .gave delivery of 17..5..21changed that to 9th June.not answering phone.managed to get in touch by internet remote. Message back said couldn’t reply to your query for 9 days. What a shambles,,,left me with no goods and too late to start crop for this year. Are they still in business.??
