“I switched to Energia from SSE Airtricity based on your site. However, there was nothing stated in your site about the two tier pricing that Energia would use once I switched over. They charge a higher rate for high usage. This was a big shock to me when I received my first bill as I had spent a lot of time weighing up my options. My heating is run on electricity so I am always going to have high usage in comparison to the average electricity user. Also when SSE Airtricity approached me to stay with them, I asked Switcher.ie when my 14 day period would have run out. They could not help me and directed me to Energia. Therefore, I didn't find that the customer service after the switch was any help. It seemed once the switch was made, that was the end of their job. I will probably use your comparison tool again but I will be doing it straight through the provider next time to make sure that I have the full picture. After the hassle I had with Energia post this switch, I would have preferred to remain with SSE.”
