I can only add to the previous poor reviews left on here recently. My experience in placing an order for LightwaveRF :- - Unlike most other online companies there is no communication/confirmation of despatch/tracking at all after initial order - Delivery timescales not met - Emails ignored - Chased order and told the order would be with me the following day – no sign of it after several days. - Contacted them again and was told that another package would be despatched. I asked for next day delivery in the circumstances – several days and order still not received. It is now almost 2 weeks since I placed the order – most similar companies would have the product delivered in <48hrs. Online ordering & deliveries are really slick these days – The Smart Shop just don’t get it ! I would strongly advise those who are thinking of using this company – DON’T !

Didn't get my order, sent several emails had one response tells me that my parcel had been sent and they wet waiting fir Royal Mail to let them know. I was also told if I didn't received within 24 hour they would arrange a replacement with next day delivery, however they never replied to my emails and there phone number is a joke. Don't buy anything from this company

I ordered several LightwasveRF lighting products from the Smartshop. When they arrived 2 of the items were incorrect. I contacted customer services who said it was an error on their part and they would send the correct parts for next day delivery. No parts showed up. 3 days later when I managed to get through on their phone line I was told I'd get a call back after the courier had been contacted. No call back was received. I sent several emails. Not one was responded to. I managed to contact customer service again after a week and was told my parts had been undelivered and returned to the Smartshop. Again I was assured of next day delivery and a tracking number by email - no parts, no tracking number. This company customer service is appalling. I will NEVER use them again.

Thank you for emailing me with an opportunity to give you a review. I purchase the items nearly 2 weeks ago and you took payment almost immediately. I know there was a Christmas holiday but you could take payment immediately so why not a confirmation order email, I had to get in touch with you. I have also had to get in touch its you of when I'm going to receive my goods, the latest date you gave me was Thursday, it's now Friday evening and still no goods. So a review of how you have done so far has is not very good and you will probably get them straight back when and if they arrive. I hope I will be credited back with my payment with the same speed it left my account, it a shame you don't despatch your goods with the same speed. Very very annoyed.

I placed an order on Christmas day and never saw any mention of the place being closed all over the Christmas period. so item not dispatched till Monday 4th january. emailed to ask when it would arrive they mentioned delay in posting but omitted to say again that they were closed over the whole christmas period. if I'd of known I would of cancelled the order and paid more locally. it was only a phone call today that prompted them to say they were closed. I have never seen customer service on such a low level. Two orders i placed and i have to chase both for delivery. No e-mail confirmations. Called shop three times yesterday to see where my next day delivery was and despite promises, no returned call with answers. Trade with these people at your own risk. customer care is low on their list of priorities. I still do not have answers or my products ! Andrew

We have checked your order details and both parcels have been dispatched, The team have advised that your parcel is to be delivered today between 10:24 and 11:24 today. . Great website and the ordering process was fine, but nearly a month later I've yet to receive the goods I've ordered or any dispatch information. As mentioned by another reviewer, you can try calling them to chase but you only get through to a receptionist who tells you that someone will call you back. I've called about 4 times and have yet to receive a call back. I've also tried emailing them and using the online contact form. I did manage to get a reply via their Facebook page, but just get excuses blaming the DPD courier and have still to receive a tracking reference. Really wish I had ordered from elsewhere.

I placed an order online a week ago. I received the order confirmation by email quite promptly but am still waiting for an indication of when the parts will be despatched / delivered. I have tried numerous times to speak to someone and emailed but cannot get through by any means.

These people have a receptionist who means well but she either doesn't pass messages on or the smartshop team couldn't be bothered. I am still waiting for a technical call to be returned from over a month ago. The receptionist assures me that she has passed the message on... I have ordered goods that have not arrived and e-mails have gone unanswered and phone calls not returned. Three calls on Friday, three on the Monday and five follow up calls today. The calls today may seem a little excessive but if i leave it to them, nothing happens, so it is now a case of calling every few hours. I am statring to get the impression that this is a one man band operating from their bedroom who have employed an answering service who is apologetic but just gives you the same old speil rather than doing anything about it. I won't be rude to her, as it is not her fault but when you have an issue to resolve and somebody just quotes you the company rhetoric chapter and verse, it makes things far worse. When this company works, you cannot fault it. Goods arrive quickly. But heaven help you if you need to contact them when there are problems. Avoid at all costs.

When the sales team are otherwise engaged on the telephone customer are forwarded to a handling service. The team over the past couple of weeks have had large containers of goods with many back orders to fulfil and have been working around the clock to ensure customer orders are complete, so apologies for the recent lack of communication with yourself. Firstly received a double dimmer that had already been fitted as cable was still inserted into switch and paint around edge. Secondly spoke to a person next morning who said that shouldn't of happened but they were the last two in stock and more would be in the next day (Friday) and she would make a note on my account for somebody to ring on the Friday to let me no what was happening , as the job was due to be finished on the Thursday. Friday arrived and no call, by this time customer is blowing a gasket which is heading my way!!! Still no call ! I took it on my self to recall, speaking to a different person from the day before who said she could not help me as "she didn't deal with that but should would get some body to call me when someone was free." 6hrs later and not even a message never mind a call. So were does that leave me, not in a very good place with a customer who is not very impressed as to when she is to expect a new switch and me having to chase up a switch that should of been new when delivered and still non the wiser as to what is happening. Let's not get started on the time and money that I have lost. A very unhappy disgruntled customer :((

An error has unfortunately been made by one of the team where a product that had been returned by a customer has been sent out with your order in error.
