I purchased two iPhone XR mobile from TITB my phone was received, unopened box with a genuine iPhone. iPhone worked well for 34 days but the power board failed so I took it to Apple Cardiff for repair/fault diagnostic. This is when I was told the phone was never destined for the UK market due to the fact it was a Chinese model and that the parts are unavailable in the UK for repair. TITB responded by offering me either to repair the iPhone themselves with 2-5 week repair time or I could take it to a repair dealer of my choice and have it repaired. I chose the later due to the repair time - the repair came back at £300 due to a failed power board. I contacted TITB and they offered £25 to cover repair costs, I declined this offer. The phone was sent back to Manchester for repair where a couple of weeks later I was told that they were waiting on parts. Great. They required me to remove find my phone and remove the Apple ID which I did but required my Apple ID to fully remove the device - I removed all personal info off my Apple ID and sent them my password, they evening a request to access my Apple ID was made from Hong Kong. TITB had lied and sent my phone back to China for repair. Now TITB are saying that the fault wasn’t from the factory and that the warranty doesn’t cover this also they are asking €180 to fix the phone. The fault is a failed component within the phone now something wear and tear after 34 days could of caused it. Their customer service is terrible as they will only answer any emails in the early hours of the morning clearly their service centre is in China. If you want a product at a discounted rate from other main street retailers then choose TITB but you will not have any warranty if something goes wrong. Terrible customer service and they will blatantly lie about every - I posted this review before 10/9/19 but they asked me to delete it. Please see their email below “We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We have noticed that you placed a negative comment about us. We understand that as a loyal customer, when you make a purchase you expect to receive your product in a timely manner. We know that we have let you down, and for that we are very sorry. Please accept our apologies on behalf of TechintheBasket for the problems you've had and our thanks for taking the time to make us aware of this. Please be assured that we take letting down seriously and will use this information to make further improvements. Here we would like to cover the repair fee. Would you please eliminate the negative comment first? Once confirmed the comment has been deleted, we would arrange the repaired device to your address right away. Looking forward to hearing from you.” Phone was received but the camera didn’t work and the Phone wouldn’t accept my SIM card. Now they want another £120 to fix the phone which they couldn’t repair in the first place. Absolute disgrace. 24/10/19 - all new Apple iPhones have a 12 month warranty! You have just proved my point that you offer a shoddy repair service and make up anything to try and get the customer to pay. Apple have confirmed that if this was a UK phone then the phone would of been replaced. You’re selling cheap goods without valid warranties - I am now reporting you to trading standards UK.

The tracking code is valid. If you receive a uk version of the product, the negative reviews may not be true. The customer service will reply to any questions, so you can buy with confidence.

CROOKS I WOULD NOT ADVISE USING THIS COMPANY!! Had I read these poor reviews before placing my order, I wouldn't have used them. Everything I've read has come true. I placed an order the same way I would with any other online company. They send you a receipt email at the time of ordering and then a processing email including a tracking number a day or 2 later. The tracking number is fake. Although they say it will take a few days for it to become active. It doesn't. At no point has this number worked. A month and a week later and no item or refund. Currently they claim the courier (Royal Mail) has collected and they are unable to contact the courier to arrange a return. Madness. Two weeks ago they agreed to refund me in 1-3 days. The refund never arrives. I'm taking legal action to recover my refund and fees. All I wanted was a pair of headphones for my exercise. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! ITS NOT WORTH THE STRESS AND ENERGY

I placed an order for an iPad 10 on 3 September and received it two weeks later. While the device appeared to be brand new, it came preconfigured with Remote Management, making it impossible for me to set up. I promptly reported this issue to Techinthebasket. However, after a series of delays, I was asked to provide photos of the package and a video demonstrating the setup problem, which I did. Subsequently I received a message stating “this issue has been raised internally.” However, for the entire following week, there was no further communication. I made two additional inquiries but received no response. Growing increasingly frustrated, I made the difficult decision to return the product for a refund. The company requested that I pay the postage fee for the return, despite my explanation that the issue was not my fault, but rather that I had received the wrong product. Unfortunately, my request went unanswered. Eventually, the company agreed to the refund and stated the process would take 3 to 7 working days. However, as of today 1 November, after 10 working days, I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my account. The issue when dealing with their customer support is a total lack of response, long delays, actions not following their words, and not actively solving customer problems. Additionally, while their website lists a contact number, it lacks extension information, resulting in my calls being abruptly disconnected. The online chat feature also proved to be unhelpful. Regrettably, this has been an extremely disappointing experience. I understand that some people give this company a 5-star rating on Trustpilot since they are lucky to receive the correct product. However, once you encounter a problem, such as receiving the wrong product like myself, the nightmare can begin. Therefore I would caution anyone against making purchases from this company.

I ordered a nitendo switch for my daughters birthday which i never received, after checking tracking it was left in my front garden (plant pot) with out authorisation & wasn't secure. contacted tech in the basket & they said it wasn't there problem as it was delivered but clearly it wasn't, there customer service was very rude & ignorant. avoid at all costs, my daughters birthday was ruined & im £136 out of pocket 👍

I had a very bad experience with this online seller. They sell devices without European registration. In the case that you would need to be benefitted by the warranty, they will do nothing to support you and will try to charge you, exactly as happened with me. After awaiting more than a month to implement warranty, after having an official report from Samsung UK stating the defect of the device and no physical impact by myself, they did offer me a solution to repair the device in an excessive cost, better to buy a new device... thus no warranty. I really struggled with the dishonest and slow customer care. In the end I had to do dispute via my bank to get compensated. If you buy something expensive, do not risk with them. Also the delivery for the initial purchase was very slow (two weeks). No phone numbers for communication. Email correspondence extremely slow and taking no action. I really do not understand how they granted permission to operate in UK with all these faulty procedures and without a contact number for communication

FRAUD COMPANY. I BOUGHT A NEW PHONE IN THE MONTH OF JUNE 2022. THEY SENT ME A FAULTY PHONE WHICH I RETURNED THEM WITH IN 30 DAYS. AS PER RETURN POLICY, THEY SHOULD REFUND ME FULL. THEY FORCED ME TO PAY FOR THE RETURN POSTAGE AS WELL. BUT, AFTER STRUGGLING WITH THEM FOR 3-4 MONTHS. TODAY, 02 NOVEMBER 2022, THEY REFUNDED ONLY £300 AND DEDUCTED £287.99. I PAID THEM £587.99. VERY VERY VERY POOR AND FRAUD COMPANY. WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

great service I received the tracking number but it was not recognized, I was worried and contacted their customer service team. They were truly nice and explained everything to me, for that, I will choose this website again although the delivery time is a bit long.

Stay away. Terrible company to deal with. They do not have a phone number you can ring them and they do not reply to any emails. I bought an item and it has been shipped 5 working days after by purchase even though I've cancelled my order through paypal. They say Item is shipped from UK but what they do is to buy it from China, wait until arrives in UK then ship it from Manchester to UK customer. You might pay a little more from a trustworthy source but its worth the piece of mind. Thankfully I've placed my order through Paypal and Amex so I have no doubt I'll get my money back.

Prices look good but if things go wrong you're on your own. Royal Mail concluded after two months they had indeed lost my earbuds. Only then did TITB offer (lilac coloured) replacements. No thanks. After promising the refund within 48 hours they never did - and ignored my chaser emails. Cynical. Avoid.

I have sent in hundreds of emails to these people/robots BUT NO ONE HAS EVER COME BACK TO ME THEY SAY THEIR PRODUCTS GET SENT FROM THEIR MANCHESTER OFFICE... THEY DONT EVEN HAVE ONE... TWO UK PHONE NUMBERS WITH ANSWERING MACHINES ON THEN THEY SEND ME OUT A CHINA MODLE TELEPHONE WHICH WILL NEVER WORK IN TH WE UK SCAMMERS STAY CLEAR I HAVE BEEN TRYING I VER 18 MONTH'S NOW GO TY NOWHERE WHAT A BUNCH OF CROOKS Tip for consumers: Do not buy from this company Products used: NONE

Placed an order, ended up wanting to cancel, before it was dispatched. Over a month later, item was never dispatched and still waiting for a refund. DO NOT USE. Opening a dispute with PayPal for refund as they no longer reply to any emails.

Techinthebasket is a complete scam! They set up websites in various countries to make it appear they are located in those countries, but they are actually all operated out of China. You might get a good price on a tech product, but shipping is slow, and if anything goes wrong, you will be out all of your money. I bought a Smartphone that turned out to be defective. It was sold with a two year warranty, but quit working after just a few months. I returned it more than 5 months ago for repair or replacement, but now they just give me the run around. Now they have my phone and my money! Theft!

RETURNED THE WATCH I BOUGHT AS IT ARRIVED LATE, THE COMPANY HAVE HAD THE WATCH BACK OVER 2 WEEKS NOW AND STILL HAVEN'T ISSUED A REFUND, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS USELESS SAYING THEY WILL CHASE IT UP BUT DO NOTHING, DO YOURSELF FAVOR AND AVOID

I really wish I'd read the Reviews BEFORE buying from this company 👎 I bought a new OnePlus 10 from them, when it finally arrived (after about 10 days) it didn't work properly and had a defective Fingerprint Reader. I contacted TiTB (only possible via email) and then I spent 2+ weeks exchanging emails with them to try to get them to give me my money back! ☹️ All they offered was constant suggestions on how to "reset the phone", providing out of date information and completely ignoring my UK Consumer rights. In the end a contacted PayPal and got PayPal to claim the money back for me 👍😁 If you're looking to use this company, don't be blinded by the cheap prices. What you get is poor quality imported products (my phone came with a foreign charger) and HORRIFIC Customer Service👎. You can't phone them, everything's done very email and takes 48 hours for any responses, oh and they just ignore UK Consumer law. Avoid, avoid, avoid - you've been warned 😉

Order came earlier than the stamped date, phone was sealed and looking beautiful as ever. Nothing else to say other than good, positive news. Would highly recommend the seller based on this one transaction I made haha
