“I bought 6 hours of lessons in advance, but only 2.5 hours were delivered. Each lesson was supposed to last 90 minutes, and my son arrived 15 minutes early each time — yet lessons ended after just 1 hour and 15 minutes. I have proof of this on my phone. When we raised this through AA’s chat, the instructor (Oliver Hancock) denied the claims privately, which felt unprofessional. I first contacted AA on 3rd November and have had no response. We’re requesting a refund of the missing 3.5 hours. Based on this experience, I do not recommend AA Driving School.”

“Karyn is a great driving instructor. She was patient, clear in her explanations, and always helped me understand my mistakes without making me feel stressed. She focused on the areas I needed to improve and her calm attitude really helped with my confidence. She was also very flexible when I needed lessons on short notice, always arrived on time, and made sure I had my full two hours every session. Her supportive but honest feedback made a huge difference, especially on the day of my test, having someone like her next to me kept me calm and focused. I’m really grateful for everything and can only recommend her.”

“I had a great experience learning to drive with AA specially my instructor Mr.Junaid Afzal. He was always early for every lesson and never finished before time. His teaching quality is excellent,clear, patient, and confidence-building. He is a genuinely kind person who stays calm and explains everything step by step. Thanks to his guidance, I passed my driving test, and I felt fully prepared. I highly recommend Junaid Afzal to anyone looking for a reliable and professional driving instructor.”

“I passed today at the Hendon driving test centre. My instructor Michael Slavtchev was awesome, fun and gave me solid driving lessons, including the various test routes. We covered all the manoeuvres such that the driving test was honestly quite easy. The examiner Richard was friendly with no complaints. Good experience Highly recommended”

“I recently completed my driving lessons with AA. The booking system of AA is very simple and clear and I like that. I enjoyed the whole learning journey with AA and especially with my amazing instructor Farideh, she’s been professional and patient and caring from the first day of my driving lesson; she helps build up my confidence in driving and she definitely make sure her students be good driver on the road in the future. The way she explains all the driving skills/techniques is easy to understand and information are always very clear. I appreciate her professionalism and encouragement throughout my lessons!”

“I recently had the pleasure of taking my driving lessons at AA Driving School, and I can't say enough about the exceptional experience I had. My driving instructor, Andrew Carrick was nothing short of amazing. He made me feel comfortable behind the wheel from the very first lesson and was incredibly patient and understanding. Andrew tailored each lesson to my individual needs, helping me build confidence and skill at my own pace. “My instructor Umar Cheema was one of the most unprofessional instructors I’ve ever had, for 30 mins of my lessons he would spend it on the phone and then drop me off home 15 mins before my lesson ends when I should be entitled the full 2 hours driving time. As I am driving he spits out of the passenger side window and blames it on a build up of flem but thats unhygienic. Also sneezes and coughs without closing his mouth so for the majority of lessons I felt really uncomfortable. Even so I didn’t want to write a review however the worst is still yet to come. I had my exam on the 11/11/25 and I booked him off 2 months in advance, 3 days before my test he then tells me he has double booked me and told me to book a new exam when the next available test was in April. This then left me to pay £240 for a short notice instructor to let me do my test and use his car. After doing the test I passed and he didn’t even send a text to make sure that everything went ok which kind of hurt considering even though it’s a job I thought he would’ve cared. My advice would be to never book with this AA school as driving is expensive enough and the unprofessional approach will cause you to spend more money as they don’t care about their students.”

“I had Martin as my instructor and he is such a great instructor and very easy to talk to. I had a total of 8 lessons with him before my test date and I passed 1st time. He explains absolutely everything with you and gives you the easiest and most effective tips to help you pass. I couldn’t fault him in any way shape of form so if your lucky to get him as your instructor then you are in safe hands.”

“I fell in within less and 48 hours and as soon as it was reasonably practicable to notify the instructor I did. I asked to reschedule and he said there’s nothing that could be done. Said AA was gonna charge him and that there was nothing he could have done. Well I’ve been in contact with AA and have been notified that my instructor (the one that couldn’t do anything, yes that one) charged the class so there wasn’t anything AA could have done their end. Very unprofessional, and unethical and I will not be booking Sanjeev again.”

“Avoid if you expect professionalism from a driving school and instructor!! My instructor, Nazira Zaker, arrived over 10 minutes late for my first lesson and made up a story about a “roadblock” to justify not reaching my building — the road to my pick up address was completely open. She then asked me to walk to a different location and was rude and abrupt about the fact I’d contacted the AA to understand where she was and why she was late. I didn’t receive a genuine apology, only attitude and aggression. I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding with the lesson, yet the AA have refused to issue a full refund and are instead acting like this was my choice. It wasn’t — the service simply wasn’t delivered properly. Really disappointing and unnecessary stress.”

“I booked refresher lessons through the AA driving school, having not driven for some time. My instructor Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) did a great job of boosting my confidence and gave lots of helpful advice to make me a better driver. We covered a lot over just two lessons including motorways, parking and town driving. I would highly recommend a refresher course with Raj for anyone who wants to improve their driving.”

“Andy Carrick was my driving instructor, and he made every lesson enjoyable. His calm and patient approach, along with his honesty and firmness when needed, made learning to drive a great experience. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor”

“Terrible Experience, Instructor can cancels and changes driving time last minute with no penalty whilst we as students has to give up to 40 hour notice or lose the lesson time money, Tried to request refund on lessons that I was not informed about due to the confirmation being sent to spam and the instructor did not send confirmation through other means (text or phone call) they did not refund me. Explicitly emailed and said I could only take lessons Wednesday-Fridays but for some reason they booked a date for Monday. Amongst that I felt the instructors instructions/coaching style was belittling and unclear and their car smelt of cigarettes and vapes. Very Unprofessional Instructor and very poor student experience.”

“My instructor Andy Carrick was amazing, he was super calm and gentle but still honest and assertive when needed. He made learning to drive not only easy but enjoyable too, which was a relief to me and my parents as I was so anxious to start driving. He helped me confidently pass my driving test with zero faults, and would recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor.”
