“Would absolutely recommend michael slavtchev as a driving instructor!! Very patient, reassuring and calming as a tutor. Took my test at hendon and passed 1st time with only 1 minor (my fault for clipping a curb). Great value for money aswell especially if you book in bulk!”

“I had an amazing experience learning to drive with my instructor, Michael Slavtchev. He was very patient and incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. His calm and clear instructions really helped me build my confidence on the road. Every lesson was well-structured, and he made sure I understood everything at my own pace. I passed my test first time thanks to his guidance! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and encouraging driving instructor.”

“I had a very disappointing experience with my instructor Terry Leslie Harris from AA Driving School. From the beginning, he was unprofessional and lazy. He would use his phone while I was driving, which is not only distracting but incredibly unsafe. During my paid lesson time, he often stopped to buy coffee, wasting time that should have been spent teaching me—not on his personal errands. His teaching style was poor and unstructured. He didn’t give proper guidance or feedback, and I often felt like I was teaching myself. It seemed like he was more interested in passing the time than actually helping me improve. The worst part came just 10 days before my driving test, when he started canceling my sessions. Then, out of nowhere, he informed me that he wouldn't take me to the test at all. I had been preparing for this test for months, and finding a new date was nearly impossible. After contacting AA, they admitted that he should have informed me sooner and that he would have to cover the test fees—but honestly, this isn’t just about money. It’s about the stress, wasted time, and lost opportunity after months of preparation. Extremely disappointed with both the instructor and the situation. I would not recommend Terry Leslie Harris to anyone. If you're considering lessons with AA, make sure to request an instructor with a proven track record of professionalism and commitment—this was the opposite of that.”

“Best and nicest driving instructor I’ve ever had, Andy Carrick was my instructor and I could t recommend him more. I’ve had 3 different instructors in the past and he knew what he was doing the most, from good knowledge to amazing technique he definitely helped me develop into the driver I am now, thank you so much Andy :)”

“I have taken my driving lessons from instructor "Junaid Afzal". The more I will write about his skills as a instructor won't be enough to express my gratitude. As a instructor he is sharp, well organized, a great teacher and motivator. He helped me to correct all tiny mistakes, how to remove fear and convert them into strength, he knew very well where i was lacking behind. If he was not there, I don't think I could have a pass certificate today! Thank you Junaid and AA driving school. Keep up doing the good job👍 I recommen " Junaid Afzal" to all the learners out there who struggling with your driving skills.”

“It is only thanks to Atiqa Javid that I can drive today! I cannot recommend Atiqa as a driving instructor highly enough! From my very first lesson, it was clear that I’d found a driving instructor that I can fully trust and rely on. Atiqa has a confident but calm and reassuring manner. No matter how many questions I asked - or how many mistakes I made - she was always patient and supportive that helped build my confidence as a driver. Atiqa carefully broke down each concept, provided clear explanations and practical tips that instantly made tricky manoeuvres feel manageable. She also supplemented our driving lessons by sharing links to online resources which I watched at home and could then discuss any unclear points during the lesson. Equally outstanding is Atiqa’s personalised approach. Every lesson was tailored to my needs and abilities: if I needed extra practice on roundabouts, that’s what we did; if I grasped a topic quickly, we moved on to build momentum. This flexible, student-centred approach not only accelerated my progress but also made each lesson truly enjoyable and stress-free. I also greatly appreciate it that Atiqa didn’t just teach me the skills necessary to pass the driving test in Morden, but also shared numerous practical tips and taught me some additional maneuvers that are so useful for driving on busy London roads. If you’re looking for an instructor who is patient, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to your success, look no further than Atiqa. Learning to drive can be daunting, but with Atiqa it becomes an enjoyable and empowering experience. He is an excellent instructor, very calm, understanding and did a fantastic job in teaching me how to drive. I would definitely recommend him and the AA driving school to other people who want to learn how to drive.”

“Andy Carrick was a great instructor who’s calm and understanding attitude really helped me as an anxious driver gain confidence driving. He was always kind even when I was feeling nervous or made mistakes, I really appreciated having him beside me. I’m really greatful to have learned with Andy, I couldn’t recommend him enough to anyone who is beginning to learn to drive.”

“I haven't drove in 6 years and passed my test 15 years ago in a rural area. I took my first refresher lesson with Danielle in Birmingham today. Within 10 minutes behind the wheel she was shouting at me for making a mistake, when I'd told her she literally needed to start from scratch with me and treat me like a beginner, and that I had significant anxiety around driving. The mistake was around a gear change - I was trying to change down while on a residential road and she said I needed to slow down more before I did it. I imagine this is a common mistake so her reaction seemed quite disproportionate. Would not recommend for anxious drivers at all.”

“Thank you Keith. As some with a disability you have now enabled me to live independently. Unlike other driving instructors, he was incredible patient and was also able to articulate to a neurodivergent. I you have want to have no anxiety going to the shops, visiting friends or more. Then go to Keith, because that’s what he’s done for me. Thanks again, Andrew T-F”

“Unreliable and unprofessional – do not recommend. Messaged Jordan Lillie two weeks before my test, and he confirmed booking and availability. As the test approached, he stopped replying to calls or texts, and then failed to show on test day, offering no reason or apology. I was left stranded, stressed, and with no support. If you want someone consistent and communicative, look elsewhere.”

“I started learning to drive with the AA a few years ago and while I figured out how to control the car at a basic level, I struggled to drive independently due to my instructor lacking in sufficient support. He would often tell me what to do instead of letting me figure things out, and never even considered going through a mock test with me before my test date. I therefore had to change instructors and join a different driving school who could meet my needs. After contacting customer support to find another instructor within the AA to replace them, they didn’t come back to me at all. Unfortunately I haven’t had the best experience learning with the AA as my instructor wasn’t able to teach me the necessary information to drive like my new instructor did and they failed to find me someone who could within the organisation. Needless to say I’ve now thankfully passed my test with another driving school but not sure I’d be able to recommend the AA for learning to drive for me personally - they should probably stick with breakdown recovery service in my opinion.”
