I fell in within less and 48 hours and as soon as it was reasonably practicable to notify the instructor I did. I asked to reschedule and he said there’s nothing that could be done. Said AA was gonna charge him and that there was nothing he could have done. Well I’ve been in contact with AA and have been notified that my instructor (the one that couldn’t do anything, yes that one) charged the class so there wasn’t anything AA could have done their end. Very unprofessional, and unethical and I will not be booking Sanjeev again.

Avoid if you expect professionalism from a driving school and instructor!! My instructor, Nazira Zaker, arrived over 10 minutes late for my first lesson and made up a story about a “roadblock” to justify not reaching my building — the road to my pick up address was completely open. She then asked me to walk to a different location and was rude and abrupt about the fact I’d contacted the AA to understand where she was and why she was late. I didn’t receive a genuine apology, only attitude and aggression. I didn’t feel comfortable proceeding with the lesson, yet the AA have refused to issue a full refund and are instead acting like this was my choice. It wasn’t — the service simply wasn’t delivered properly. Really disappointing and unnecessary stress.

I booked refresher lessons through the AA driving school, having not driven for some time. My instructor Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) did a great job of boosting my confidence and gave lots of helpful advice to make me a better driver. We covered a lot over just two lessons including motorways, parking and town driving. I would highly recommend a refresher course with Raj for anyone who wants to improve their driving.

Terrible Experience, Instructor can cancels and changes driving time last minute with no penalty whilst we as students has to give up to 40 hour notice or lose the lesson time money, Tried to request refund on lessons that I was not informed about due to the confirmation being sent to spam and the instructor did not send confirmation through other means (text or phone call) they did not refund me. Explicitly emailed and said I could only take lessons Wednesday-Fridays but for some reason they booked a date for Monday. Amongst that I felt the instructors instructions/coaching style was belittling and unclear and their car smelt of cigarettes and vapes. Very Unprofessional Instructor and very poor student experience.

I had Martin Gunter as my instructor: Martin’s guidance helped me pass with zero faults. He is very experienced, patient, and makes every lesson enjoyable. I also recommend checking out his YouTube videos, they are an excellent resource for extra learning.

Had Sara as my instructor and could not have been more pleased! A first time pass! She’s great at what she does, always pushed me to be better and believed in me when I didn’t! Couldn’t have asked for anyone better!

My instructor Andy Carrick was amazing, he was super calm and gentle but still honest and assertive when needed. He made learning to drive not only easy but enjoyable too, which was a relief to me and my parents as I was so anxious to start driving. He helped me confidently pass my driving test with zero faults, and would recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor.

Instructor dropped my daughter from his lessons due to cancellation due do illness on just 2 occasions with ample notice given a rebooked for different days . No reply from him regarding the issue even though cancelled 3-5times himself with 1 hours notice . not refunded back all hours with no response to calls or messages . Also instead of filling out my daughter progress report when asked on the aa app desided to bad mouth my daughter driving to other students unaware that the students were frends with my daughter . Now been high and dry regarding lessons with the aa as no instructors available for months around us . 10 hours in and she didn’t realise the she needed to press the accelerator to move forward …. Would not recommended.

I booked an instructor for pass plus. He didn’t even realise I’d booked for pass plus. I had to tell him. He also smelt really bad so I didn’t bother continuing and I’d fully paid up front. It’s a franchise so I guess they don’t have much control over the standard on instructors. I’m sure they’re not all that bad.

Avoid Karen Begley, at least if you’re a foreigner driver who wants to learn how to drive on the UK. Karen made me feel judge as soon as I entered the car, even before switching seats — by asking inappropriate questions on how many hours of lesson I had with a professional instructor before passing my test, even after telling her about my driving routine in my home country AFTER obtaining my license. She would complain more than once that weekends are busier, making sure she would repeat that in different ways because by then she already decided I was the foreigner who didn’t speak English well and didn’t know how to drive, to the point that I had to justify myself by telling her that I work full time and can’t do other days. In general, she would repeat things several times with different wording because of her assumptions. I really value an empathetic approach, which she clearly didn’t have, so I’ll admit I didn’t give my 100% in what was a new situation to me, but she made sure to make it worse despite her apparent polite manners by asking even more inappropriate questions. Specifically, she asked me if I passed my test at the first attempt and asked if I used to drive on my own and had my own car back in my country (which I already told her I did). After the lesson, she asked me again if I used to drive in my country because to her I looked like a learner. Not satisfied by an affirmative answer, she had the nerve to ask me if everything went well when I used to drive back home. Again, not satisfied by an affirmative answer, she went to her lowest pint by telling me:”Don’t blame it on driving the opposite way you’re used to, I did that too and I didn’t have your problems.” After that she heavily implied it’s easy to pass the test in my country by saying she doesn’t know the standards there because she’s never driven there. Icing on the cake, when I politely told her that although I expected I wouldn’t be ready to drive on my own in the UK after just one lesson, I was taken aback by the rest of her general comments, she got annoyed and defensive and told me:”so you think it went well today?”. She cut the conversation short because she thought I would break down in front of her instead of voicing a different opinion, poor frustrated woman.
