“I passed my driving test today! It was my second attempt at the practical exam, and I’m beyond grateful to AA Driving School and my incredible instructor, Junaid, for helping me get here. When I first started learning, one of the first challenges I faced was finding an instructor who taught automatic cars in my area. I felt lucky to discover Junaid through the AA Driving School website. Not only was he available, but AA’s lesson prices were also more affordable than the local average. Junaid was a game-changer. He’s not just a skilled driver—he’s a phenomenal teacher. Always patient, polite, reliable, consistently punctual, and endlessly encouraging. I’ve struggled with confidence and can be quite emotional at times, especially when I made mistakes or failed my mock tests (which happened more than once!). But Junaid never let me spiral. He helped me believe in myself, build confidence, and stay calm. I’ll never forget one moment when I was feeling overwhelmed. He pointed to the “AA” and “L” signs on the bonnet, then to the brake pedal under his seat, and said:“Don’t panic on the road. I’m with you. Other road users can see you’re a learner—they’ll be kind.” That simple reassurance meant everything. Whenever I felt down, Junaid reminded me of the progress I’d made and helped me focus on the positives. His feedback was always constructive, and his deep knowledge and experience made every lesson feel purposeful. I could genuinely feel myself improving day by day. Even on the early morning of my test, I was a bundle of nerves. I was even thinking of cancelling the test. I messaged Junaid, and he replied me: “Don’t worry, just give it a go! Don’t lose hope. I’m with you.” That message gave me the courage I needed. On the way to the test centre, he kept reassuring me that my skills were solid and I just needed to stay relaxed. That made all the difference. Yes I was still a bit nervous during the test, but I didn’t panic—and I did my best. When the examiner said I’d passed, I was in total disbelief! Junaid is hands-down the best instructor I could’ve asked for. I can’t recommend him highly enough. And huge thanks to AA Driving School for making this journey possible. I’ll definitely be recommending AA to all my friends who are preparing for their driving tests!”

“I have booked a lesson with an automatic instructor, I have had past instructors but due to personal circumstances I’ve had to look for a new one. Hearing good things about AA I booked with this automatic instructor. He was awful! He spent the whole lesson throwing sexist, hurtful comments at me about my appearance and where I lived. He made me feel so uncomfortable the whole lesson and was so unprofessional. When I called AA to make a formal complaint they said there was nothing they could do about it and the woman on the phone was dismissive and rude. DO NOT RECOMMEND!”

“* This driving school is terrible. I had an unprofessional and aggressive instructor who didn't respond to my calls and messages all day. When he finally showed up 15 minutes late, he told me he was cutting 30 minutes from our lesson. When I explained that I had been trying to contact him to resolve an issue, he told me he didn't care and it was "my problem." When I complained to the company, they refused to help, saying they have no control over their drivers and don't verify who they hire. I absolutely do not recommend this school.”

“My instructor Cristian made me feel very relaxed and encouraged me along, I never felt pressured, the instructor always knew when I was ready to take the next step, the instructor was so friendly and happy and never uptight, he got me through my test and I passed first time with two minors, thank you so much”

“Atiqa is a wonderful driving instructor. Finding the right instructor hasn’t been easy for me, but with Atiqa, learned more in that one session than I had in ten with others. She puts her whole heart into teaching, genuinely cares about her students, and pays close attention to my progress, strengths, and areas that need improvement. Her lessons are always clear, well-structured, and I’ve never once felt my time was wasted. I’m so grateful to have found her, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor than Andrew Carrick. From the very first lesson, Andrew made me feel at ease with his calm, patient, and encouraging teaching style. He has a fantastic way of explaining things clearly and breaking down even the trickiest manoeuvres into simple steps, which really boosted my confidence on the road. Not only is Andrew an excellent teacher, but he’s also a genuinely good person – friendly, supportive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help you succeed. He creates a relaxed learning environment where you feel safe to make mistakes and learn from them, and his positive attitude makes every lesson enjoyable. Thanks to Andrew’s guidance and reassurance, I felt fully prepared for my test and passed with confidence. “BRIGHTON INSTRUCTOR: TONY (ANTHONY NEWINGTON) IS THE BEST! ⭐ Tony got me test ready in 6 lessons (12 hours). I have never driven before, let alone sat in the driver’s seat of a car. Tony is the best instructor (even teacher) at teaching people how to drive! His methods of explaining how to parallel park, how to forward bay park, reverse bay park, how to leave roundabouts correctly, which lane to use at roundabouts, is absolutely fantastic! He makes the whole idea of driving seem simple and not scary as I thought it would be. His methods like explaining the 12 o clock method for roundabouts, the pizza slice method for parallel parking, the 45 degree angle for reverse parking in a bay between two cars are honestly IMPOSSIBLE to not understand. His methods of teaching are so simple and easy to get in your head that even a 10 year old could learn how to drive with him. Honestly! For driving tests, he is amazing at building confidence and making you have little to no nerves whatsoever, he always told me to “on the test, drive how you would on a lesson, and look at it as a friend telling you where to go.” That advice alone helped calm my nerves down and pass with only 2 minors! Tony is also a very kind, caring and wholesome guy with a great sense of humour! I wish he was my teacher for maths and all the other subjects I failed at school haha. Overall, every single lesson you have with him, you just get better. The more time you spend with him, the better driver you’ll be. He also makes every mistake easy to fix and easy to avoid. He gives you a clear cut through plan on how to not make that mistake happen again, and he is not strict like secondary school teachers, he is very kind on the mistakes you made, and how to do better next time. He is also very chatty and you can speak for hours with him while driving, honestly he is just the best driving instructor and teacher I ever had. Really wished I had him for my maths in school ha. He broke down the whole big scary concept of ‘driving’ as I once thought it was, into easy to follow and understand baby steps. Highly recommend, Tony is the kindest and the best!”
