“Great to get a free day trip with Eurotunnel, confirmed very quickly. Our order was ready to pick up, all in all a good deal all round. Tasting bar could have been easier to operate.”

“The store is well stocked, good value and spacious. Staff are polite, knowledgeable and flexible with your requirements. The only annoyance on my recent visit here was that I paid in euros by credit card and not a Stirling cheque and seriously lost out on the exchange rate. However this was self inflicted but a reminder by the staff at the till would have been helpful.”

“Helpful friendly staff, some good deals. Also they have a large selection of wines available for tasting, that said a number of the tasting bottles were empty (although I expect the staff would have been happy to open another if requested)”

“Excellent level of customer service both when responding to emails and in store. Very knowledgeable regarding their products and I have always been happy with their recommendations when they run out of a particular wine I have bought in the past. Prices are superb. We have for the first time made use of the free Eurotunnel travel (even though we have been using them for a number of years) and it was well worth doing, saving us even more money!!”

“It's been a while since we were there and we found that the choice of wines had grown quite considerably since our last visit. Loved the improved tasting room even though it encouraged us to purchase more than we had originally planned but definitely not complaining on that score. Staff were helpful as usual and the organised crossing by them was faultless. All in all a very pleasant day.”

“Calais Wine has an excellent range of wine at an excellent range of prices. It also has some good Greene King real ales. The staff are helpful and pleasant and the store is easy to find your way around. There's tasting too for non drivers. I like it for the budget wines around £2, and the range of French wines at all prices. I visit every year and like the fact that wines I have enjoyed one year are available in the next year at the next vintage. Great place.”
