“I have not received my order. At present it has been checked into Tamworth, after travelling from Abingdon, since 13/04/17 and is not scheduled to be delivered to me until 24/04/17. I accept the fact that this is the Easter weekend but for the consignment to then be planned for delivery a week hence, making it 11 days from order to delivery, is poor. I have not had a bad experience with The Toolpost as such but it is a pity that their choice of courier means that I have to wait so long when I feel sure that I could have received a 2Kg package sooner through another carrier, for example Royal Mail. 21/04/17. On the 18/04/17 I spoke to The Toolpost representative, after reading their response to my review. I was impressed by their polite and practical attitude and, I believe as a result of their follow-up, my order arrived today, as ordered and well packed. Thank you The Toolpost.”

Thanks for your note. In the interest of security (this is a relatively high value package) your shipment has been consigned through UPS. However, the delay that is being notified in their shipping system does seem rather excessive, even for a delivery to your somewhat remote location, and we will be following up on this today. Your location in North Uist in the Outer Hebrides is one which often causes shipping issues as few couriers provide what we would evaluate as a good service at a reasonable price. Royal Mail are so very restrictive in the items that they will carry and dealing with them requires our making special arrangements: they also do not offer a secure service excepting at a relatively high price. Having said that we acknowledge that they provide a good service to remote locations, if only they would accept the full range of goods we need to ship! We try to make the best selection that we can and for 98% or our clients - who are, of course located in less out-of-the-way places - this works acceptably well. In this case it does appear to be an unreasonably lengthy delivery delay and we will be looking into this with the carrier following your complaint. For reference, had you emailed us directly with the complaint, we would have been more than happy to follow up for you, in exactly the same way that we will now. We will contact you directly if we are able to expedite the delivery for you.

“Toolpost had what I required in stock (Tormek spares) and dispatched them quickly. Carrier was able to tell me in advance a 1 hour slot when delivery would be made which meant I was in to sign for them.”

“I'm in the US and wasn't sure about buying a product made and sold in the UK. I was wanting to buy a JSP respirator that was previewed on a wood workers YouTube channel. Google said the Toolpost sold the JSP and I contacted sales representative (Jen) through the website. I had several questions about UK/US electrical differences, product comparison with a similar respirator and shipping costs. All were answered and very professionally.”
