“Very pleased with the superb repair on my grandson’s favourite padded pale silver grey anorak. He had a right angled short rip in the back. Amazingly a patch has been put on the tear with some of the same material taken from a pocket lining I think but virtually invisible it’s so neat. I cannot speak highly enough of the Zip Yard in Winton Bournemouth. Thank you to the clever seamstress who did this job for me. Sorry I did not take a photo before he had it back.”

“Audrey Kneller writing: I've always been happy with the service I've received, except on one occasion when I had a skirt shortened and it was given back to me with the shortening done and the bottom unhemmed, so I ended up hemming it myself. I didn't notice this until much later, and I had thrown away the receipt, so I didn't bother to take it back.”

“Polite and efficient people and the alterations were carried out ok, though on this occasion I felt slightly disappointed that a phone instruction I made just after dropping the items off wasn't passed on to the seamstress.”

“The Zipyard staff are always courteous and helpful. I needed clothes altering this week and the seamstress dealt quickly with my request. Whenever I have taken in clothes that need dry-cleaning, they have been cleaned and pressed to a high standard.”

“Ive been here on many occasions but the last time my husband s very expensive jacket i requested they did it again £35:00 just for azip and very bad work . Threads hanging ,stitching all crocked ,Thought id give them another chance yesterday only needed a replacement clasp on a zip . £10.00. All i said was thats abit expencive , well i was soon put in myplace ,if i hadnt already paid I'd of told him id of told him just what i thought . Deffently wont be going back .extreamly rude and arigant”

“I have just collected my most recent order with the zipyard (it was a complex job, I knew it before I came in to the shop) and there, together with the girls (they are so knowledgeable!) I’ve discussed what I wanted to be done on my dresses, they are always eager to help and to advice, polite and friendly, great experience every time! Today, I wanted to leave another 5 star review and a thank you, but I read the last couple of reviews … is it a spam?! So rude and so not true. I’ve been a customer for the past two years, and I have used other alteration places before coming to the zipyard, I know the difference between a bad alteration and The Zipyard alteration. Highly recommended!”
