“Advice given for the alteration of a leather coat. Time taken to measure up and discuss with me before simply proceeding with the alteration. Friendly and kept me informed of the progress. Very happy”

“Appalling job on my garment. Not only did the lady make up the prices in front of me and keep changing them to be more expensive (patches cost more than the Gi altogether) The patches were sewn off center and botched. The patches on the trousers were sewn on the inside... What the he'll happened?! And the circular patch i wanted in the center (I even provided photographs for them) is completely off center. They don't care about their customers only the money, never going back here.”

“I brought my bridesmaid dress in to get a new zip fitted as the one that was originally on it was popping open when I put it on (although it wasn't visibly broken and still zipped up and down). Everyone was very helpful and I paid my £20 for a new zip. I was told that it would take 2 weeks which was fine as I was in no rush. I got the text to say it had passed quality control and went in to pick it up. As soon as I tried it on, it popped open in exactly the same place - upon closer inspection, it was evidently the same zip as before. I took it back the next day and was told that it would be 'redone'. When I picked it up yesterday, the zip had been replaced and the assistant admitted that originally they had 'fixed' the zip rather than replacing it which is not what I paid for. The replacement is very good and the actual job they have done can't be faulted but it's a real shame that I didn't get what I had paid for originally and lucky that I didn't leave it until the morning of the wedding to try it on again!”

HI Lisa, sorry about that. I can assure you this was an honest mistake thinking the work had been completed on the zip. (We are only human). I am pleased to hear though you were happy with new zip we fitted for you once you pointed this mistake out to us. We look forward to seeing you again in the shop again soon.

“I took two garments that needed shortening. One was altered correctly but the other wasn't. The one that wasn't was for a special occasion and for me it was an expensive item of clothing. When I collected my garment and tried it on at home, one leg was longer than the other. Neither leg was even all round. I took my garment back to have it rectified but although it was taken up again it was still very uneven and still one leg longer than the other I tried it on in the shop and I still wasn't happy but they said it was fine. I took it home to show my family and ask their opinion, they said no way had it been taken up properly. I was told that it was the material that made it like that but as I said surely this should have been pointed out and then we could have taken is elsewhere. On my third visit, the manager did try to rectify but I still wasn't happy. The manager was much nicer & I believe tried to sort it out. I was very unhappy with the attitude of the owner of the Staines branch. He didn't seem to be bothered that we were upset about it because he has 'thousands of customers that are happy'. They did offer to refund our money for the alterations but I was concerned that if took the refund and the outfit was ruined we would not be able to do anything about. The manager did try to rectify and although we wasn't happy we just wanted to get out of the shop and get it sorted elsewhere. I can't believe I am the only person that has been unhappy with their alterations. I have since taken it elsewhere and have had it rectified at additional cost.”

“I bought some mosquito curtains for my Gazebo but when they arrived only two of the panels had Zips i took them along to the Zip Yard in Staines were there very helpful staff managed to put Two more zips in the other two panels they look excellent and i know this wouldnt of been an easy job the quality of Zips were supurb on collecting i had my uniform skirt which needed the hem repairing and the lady did it for me while i waited excellent customer service i had never heared of Zip Yard before i feel ive found a little treasure as normally i would just throw things away when needed repairing as my needlework is a lot to be desired Thank You ZipYard”
